Yorubas seem to be so obsessed with Buhari for choosing theirs as running mate.

I wouldn't blame them because Fulanis most especially have always treated them as if all of them were leprous.
Hausa-Fulani wouldn't want anything to do with them.
In the first republic, Tafawa Belewa and Sadauna of Sokoto of NPC despiced them so much that they wouldn't want anything with them that they pleaded with an Igbo party NCNC headed by Azikiwe to form government with them.

In 2nd republic, Shagari a Fulani man in 1979 chosed Alex Ekwueme to be his vice.

Yaradua understanding Ebele Jonathan was genetically Igbo chosed him as vice.
And now that Buhari after wallowing in desert (wilderness) for decades managed them and now a real hausa-Fulani man Atiku came again with Peter Obi u want them to accept that.

For them it doesnt matter where Buhari is taking the country, for he was d only Hausa Fulani that managed to accept them.

Fulanis threw Abiola into prison and killed him and wanted to kill Obasanjo who was saved by Igbo people.

So don't u blame them for what they have become

Igbos have shown such benevolence towards Yoruba.

In 1993, Igbos massively voted for Moshood Abiola, likewise in 1999 and 2003.
This at the detriment of their renowned son Chukwuemeka Ojukwu who contested for the office of the presidency in 2003.

Have Yoruba at any moment of Nigerian history ever reciprocated such gesture and benevolence

Checking South eastern voting history, our Igbo brethren will willingly vote osinbajo if he were to declare for presidency.

Igbos voted massively for Obasanjo both in 1999 and 2003.
When Ojukwu contested for presidency in 2003 most Igbos still voted for Obasanjo because they knew Ojukwu had lesser chance to make it.

Igbos massively voted for Yaradua and then Jonathan.

We Yorubas are the ones been unnecessarily fearful of Igbos. Forget what less than 1 percent of Igbos are typing on social media that does not in the least reflect the mind of the Igboman.

Igbos are highly liberal and democratically minded

The astuteness of Yoruba politics can never be overemphasized and they are always at the forefront of history when its been made.

In the minds of many Yorubas there is this agitation for an alternative candidate other than Atiku but most unfortunately there is none.

Most Yorubas are all about good governance.

In 2015 it was clear that GEJ was running the country aground and there was clear need for change in stewardship and we Yorubas saw it. We thought Buhari had plan, but after 3yrs we are still waiting to see any glimpse of change. Its clear APC werent prepared for what they ventured into and believe u me we Yorubas will be part of those that wil change the change.

It's true most Yorubas dont trust Atiku but there is no other clear alternative.
Come 2019 there no doubt Atiku will win in the southwest

Speaking further, the IPOB leader said: “Boko Haram was like IPOB before. Do you know that? They were peaceful agitating for an Islamic state in the northeast, understand this very well. I don’t know who feed foreign governments their news, I don’t know what the ambassadors are doing in Nigeria because they lied to their government I’m sorry to say this, most ambassadors in Nigeria lied to their host governments.

“Do you know that Boko Haram was peaceful? They won’t tell you that. Boko Haram didn’t just wake up one morning and become a terrorist group, something caused it to happen and that is the same thing they tried to do to me. The day they came to my house, I can assure you had they killed me Nnia Nwodo and his family will be dead by now the same thing with every governor in the southeast and they know this very well.

“Had they succeeded in killing me on the 14th of September, what do you think IPOB will do? Do you think IPOB will fold their hands and just be watching you? No, they will come after Nigeria in a very grand style, I assure you, worse than Boko Haram.

“You have people all over the world say that Boko Haram is this and that, it’s a lie, it was the Nigerian government that made Boko Haram metamorphose from a peaceful group agitating for a Sharia state in the northeast to a terrorist group, it is the fault of Nigeria. That is the fact of life.

“Nigeria out of their stupidity and wickedness created Boko Haram. Do you know how Boko Haram came about? They killed Mohammed Yusuf.  Mohammed Yusuf was the leader of Boko Haram. They killed him. What did he do? He said he wants a referendum in the northeast so that people can follow Sharia and that is their business.

“They never meant to pick up arms for one day, it was when the Nigerian police and the army went to Maiduguri, killed Yusuf and started killing people indiscriminately that was when they picked up arms, so tomorrow they will start killing IPOB, any day we say no and we pick up arms they will say we are a terrorist group,” the pro-Biafra activist added.
