pro01: Only a dubious woman demands trust from her husband or partner. A genuinely virtuous woman earns it. . .and strives to retain it - simply by keeping her hands clean and her path straight. You don't insist on keeping male 'friends' or going on 'business trips' with your randy boss, and yet expect a sensible husband to trust you.
Any sensible man would NEVER trust any human being (let alone a woman) 100%. That's pure foolishness. If there are sufficient grounds for suspicion, then by all means a man must conduct a paternity test to clear all doubts. A truly good woman wouldn't get angry with her husband for doing that. She would get angry with herself for not doing enough to earn his trust.
Only sneaky, slimy, deceitful women (and they are in the majority) would make foolish noise or threaten divorce (you can imagine) when their serial unfaithfulness is under suspicion. All this noise wey una dey make. She no go even know when I go arrange the kids go do the test! |

Under these circumstances diplomacy or wisdom just won't cut it.Full disclosure is needed. rhemaplus: If the subject is truly sorry for his/her past then there is nothing too much to tell. If u are secretive about it and it eventually boomerangs, what would be ur fate? The world is a very small world, if u think he would never know and he ends up knowing, what will u do? Have u also consider an extent a blackmailer can go. It is too risky a thing to do. Will u prefer to lose him/her now or 2days to wedding/2years after wedding? Would u allow him/her to decide now or live to distrust u after marriage? Seal ur fate, once and for all. If he leaves u, then all well and good; perhaps, that's the little pain u need to suffer too for ur error of the past. Timing and wisdom are also important in this, u may take time to pschoanalyse the person, use different analogies to convey ur message, use a third person pronoun instead of first and watch his reaction, seek for signs, ask him indirectly like what of if I had had abortions before, will u still go ahead with me? Don't just burst it, be wise about it. If eventually, he leaves, then look to God and be hopeful because there is definately somebody, somewhere that will love you, cherish you for who you are only. |

I think it is a little too early for the poster and her husband to be having money issues.Hell, they aren't even married yet.In this part of the world, both parties "form" until they get married then they bare their fangs. I want to ask the poster a simple question.Do you really like this guy who is having problems footing the bill for your wedding?I don't mean do you think he is cool.I mean is he ur buddy?Cos if any of my friends male or female had a problem,I would automatically begin to figure out ways in which I could help.If at this stage when u don't yet have any complications like kids,in law wahala, etc u are already fighting turf wars then u two should do each other a big favour and go ur separate ways.We are still Nigerians but things have changed. Why do you think some women have a strong grip of their husbands. Before the man does anything,he asls her first. It is not juju.It is women who have used wisdom in the guise of subservience to dig a deep hole in their husband"s heart.Tomorrow when the guy becomes a minister, the woman who stood by him will virtually be the one deciding official policy from her kitchen. But this is no place for stories,if you don't feel comfortable spending sme money to support him;rather than pretending, simply take a walk. |

Politics › Re: Money For Job In Federal Agencies? Presidency Expresses Shock. Your Experience by CHIMSKY(m): 5:24pm On Oct 03, 2012 |
Idokojimmy: THE presidency has been alerted to a growing practice of money for employment in federal para-military agencies as some youth leaders have dispatched detailed petition to President Goodluck Jonathan over the development. The revelation was made at the national roundtable on Nigeria’s Independence celebration, attended by over 40 youth leaders in Abuja and hosted by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Matters, Mr Jude Imagwe, who vowed to report the matter to the president.
Various youth leaders at the event were making contributions on the way forward for the nation until the coordinator for Youth Coalition Against Corruption, Mr Greg Asali, alerted the gathering to a practice in many federal agencies, declaring that “unemployed graduates are being levied huge sums of money for job in many agencies.” Asali told the gathering that various sums of money are collected from job seekers, especially in the para-military agencies as well as some other federal parastatals, pointing out that he has exact figures of money collected for job in each of the agencies.
The youth leader listed the para-military agencies and the amount they demand as follows: Immigration Service -N500,000; Customs Service - N500,000; Police Service -N400,000; Prisons Service -N300,000 and the Civil Defence Corps, N300, 000. But this is an old practice. Are you just finding out? There"s lots of fraud in it too.I paid but I still havent got the job 4 years down the line. The angry youth leader told the gathering that many well-to-do job seekers even pay more than the amount to get the job and that many unemployed from poor families are denied of opportunities even when they are qualified.
Worried by the youth leader’s claim, the presidential aide asked for clarification on the volatile statement and other youth leaders in the hall came out to give details of their own experiences on the subject matter. Asali noted further that the practice was pushing many unemployed graduates to the edge, urging the presidential aide to take the matter directly to the president.
The youth leader noted that in some agencies, job seekers who cannot raise money are made to sign bond to forfeit three-month salaries if and when the job is offered to them.
He stated that strong syndicates operate across the said agencies that smoothly run the operations with those who pay getting the job and those who fail to pay losing out in the employment processes.
“Please help us tell Mr President to stop these cabals and throw open the employment process. Little spaces available should not be sold to the children of the rich,” Asali pleaded.
Commenting on Mr Asali‘s submission, Imagwe expressed shock and disbelief at the disclosure and affirmed that the presidency is not aware of such activities in such agencies.
“President Jonathan is a due process leader and he will not condone any agency indulging in such practices. I will compile a full report and I believe the matter will be duly investigated and acted upon,” Imagwe said. It will be recalled that for some time now, allegations of money for job had been rife in Abuja. It was learnt that the syndicates operate easily because vacancies in many federal agencies are no longer declared publicly as slots are allegedly shared among key public elected and appointed public officials.
The National Assembly had recently questioned employment of 6,000 new employees by the Civil Defence Corps without advertisement but the matter was not pursued further. Calls to affected agencies for clarifications were not returned and in one agency, an official declined comment due to the sensitivity of the matter.

It is very important you cultivate this habit as an aspiring entrepreneur. We would go through this during the business plan module. So @k lala, I would get back to you soonest.
My good brothers at the webmaster category helped me over the weekend on how to make the report available to you. Expect it within the next 48 hours.
Today, we will look at why we must have a working knowledge of marketing and sales. My people, no matter how good your product or service is - if you can't generate cash from it; then their is nothing good about it.
Marketing is all about identifying who your customers are; where they are; how to meet them; how to let them know what you have for them; taking notice of your competitors; how to outperform them and how to persuade people to buy from you. It is a tough task abi! However, the beauty of it is that the more you do it the better you get at it.
What subject matter do we require to read? Let us know tomorrow. Thanks. Pls send a copy of the report to chima336@gmail.com |

It is amazing the way Nigerians hype other peoples investments and ensure capital flight.I thought Nigeria had ports at Lagos,Warri,Port Harcourt, Calabar,Koko. How come most of us troop to Cotonou to go buy cars. Why cant these vehicles land at our own ports?Do you know how many dollars we pour into the Beninois economy everyday?I may be wrong that I have this sinking feeling that if Nigeria begins to impory its cars yhrough its own ports, the Beninois Economy will catch a very bad cold. |
Car Talk › Re: Ever Had Your Car Stolen Before? Advice Others. by CHIMSKY(m): 6:07pm On Aug 11, 2012 |
jp philips: i dont want to undermine the guy above who is advertising his tracker but lack of knowledge sells every jargorn in the market. The present day robbers operating in abuja, lagos and portharort are no longer those ogogoro kinda petit thieves, they are real professionals and graduates who have waiting clients in cotonou for those vehicles, for every car they wish to steal, the car is placed under surveillance for a long time before the hit is done. In a place like port harcourt due to poor road network, snatching at gun point is not usually the norm but picking it from where u parked it in nite clubs, joints, supermarkets etc.
The tracker today is equally no threat to this set of sophisticated robbers because most trackers are wired to the BB (brain box) of the vehicle. By default, all the wires coming out from the BB are usually similar with a cellophane strap round it, firmly secured. Because our tracker installers lack ingenuity, they run a new wire different from the ones used in the BB by default thereby making it easy to identify. This is the bane of car trackers in Nigeria, the thieves call themselves professionals because each is able to identify the position of the BB of the car in his specialty.
Once the car is snatched, they drive a reasonable distance and pull over, the specialist id's the brain box, hand held battery powered drills and screw drivers are their favorite tools, in less than 2 mins, the tracker is useless and the car is gone.
Insurance on the other hand is the most legal fraud in Nigeria, if you are in doubt, visit any high court in ur jurisdiction and ask for their case files, the second highest on the list is insurance claims after land dispute. The big questions any insurance agent need to answer are these;
1 why do we need to go to court to settle our insurance claims even when our premiums are paid regularly? 2 why do we need insurance brokers to mediate between the client and the insurance company if the insurance guys re not unscrupulous? Or do we need brokers to withdraw money from the bank? 3 when you are signing an insurance agreement in Nigeria, do you see the caveat where they say "Natural disasters" are not covered by comprehensive insurance premiums? Did you see the interpretation of Natural disasters? Well, i don't think so till you have an insurance case, if your insured car is parked close to a building that eventually catches fire and it affects your vehicle, most insurance companies classify it as natural disaster, no claim.
4, no insurance company in Nigeria insures ''mob-action'' and in their agreement, there was no interpretation for that in other words, they can call it anything, eg 4 kids playing football on the street is a mob to the insurance guys cos if they burst your wind shield, you are on ur own with ur comprehensive insurance.
5 If boko haram attacks close to ur residence and the shock wave of the explosion affects your car and it is established that the attackers are more than one, insurance calls it "mob action", therefore no claim.
6 thieves without guns are "Mobs" in the Nigerian insurance books so no claim. When you use a good broker, the insurance will pay not because of you but to maintain the good will and customer base of the broker, even at that, the criteria is still terrible, for a venture that charges between 8 to 10% of your car's worth annually.
From my experience so far, insurance against theft, devaluation of assets to pay lower claims has never been as reassuring as the most sought reprieve.
I will advise every car owner, even with ur tracker, use steel pedal locks and anti theft alarms, there is a hand held battery powered metal cutter that can cut the locks no doubt but it takes time and very noisy, will easily attract attention and difficult to procure in Nigeria.
The other option is engrave, yea people believe that they can pull out the reg. Number of their vehicle, show case it again and sell after using it for a while, well, the bad news is that the new reg process will give you a kick so engraving is an option now.
Engrave not just the replaceable parts but equally on the chassis boldly, that will deter thieves alot who want to pass it on as "direct Belgium" to the dealers. This is a 365o comprehensive report. |

pamelaB: @$$osisi
R u from this century? Or even from this planet? I am just as PROUD of my kids whether they were born in or out of wedlock. A birth of a child IS something to celebrate. My first two kids were born be4 my husband and I got married. We got married when our 2nd was born, so our 3rd child is the only "legitimate" one. It is complitely normal in where I come from. People dont pay any attention to such things here. All our kids were well planned, much wanted and long expected and have been very welcomed with both our families. They have loving and dedicated grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. who would do just about anything for them. U want me to be ashamed of that? Shame on u.
But the question still is, why wouldnt the poster marry a white man if she wants children with him? It is not easy to bring up a child alone, and with mixed kids it is even more difficult. All kinds of things can happen in a marriage and u can end up being alone with ur child anyway, but why intentionally create such a situation? Children are meant to be brought up in a family and by two parents. That is the ideal. Why do it the hard way if it is not necessary? I dont care how you paint it.Having a child out of wedlock is wrong! It has become very fashionble for celebrities to go sleeping around and having children. The preposterousness of it all is that society condones and actually applauds these perverts. The unfortunate kids are called 'love children'.It is as if,once you are a celebrity or a socialite you a new set of rules applies to you.You have men and women these days with 4 kids from 4 partners and everybody applauds the circus. In those days what they are doing would be called plain fornicaton now we all accept it and everyone looks the other way! |
