Kobojunkie:i reckon that the average Nigerians is not pragmatic even with the benefit of western education, and tend to be self centered while covering up with spirituality. Parents who truly care will be laser focused on providing the best for their kid(s) with the minimal Resources available to them. Majority of these parents are thinking of having many kids , so those many kids can take care of them at old age. It is a shame that people breed poverty in folds for silly reasons. Only a mad fellow will carry a heavy load on the head and almost falling down and then decide to add more. |
Kobojunkie:The reality is that it is almost impossible in Nigeria for many to have 1.6 million naira. However, most government hospitals with a budget of 300,000 will cater for most emergencies including operation. Your benchmark will exclude 95% of Nigerian couples from giving birth. The worst carelessness is the one done where a couple with about 8 months of time to plan fail to save or borrow for emergency that child birth complications can bring. Saving 40k every month for 8 months, means they have 300k at birth period. That budget in most government hospital is a safe zone, some wont even spend up to 100k. Registering for antenatal and going regularly also reduces risk of childbirth complications. These painful story does not suggest there was any antenatal done. |
autoez:2 was enough though, considering the family's financial capacity. We are not in the farming labour era. Nigerians throw common sense and planning away and replace with spirituality and stupidity. God is even angry with us when we do that. Jesus reference to Luke 14 vs 28-30 should be your guiding principle. Enough with the emotional blackmail, stupidity, entitlement mentality and "anyhowness" that is a trademark of an average Nigerian. Even in the best of planning, failure can still arise, but to not plan for something serious as child birth is painful and annoying. As poor couples, you can have sex all day long in the midst of excruciating poverty , but use protection, or if you prefer it raw , get the female on iud or male to tie up and enjoy your raw sex while languishing and relishing poverty with hope of better life. Sex is good, but don't bring too many kids than necessary in to poverty. 1 or 2 kids should be okay till things improve. |
Hussein035:The reality is that in todays world, parents need to be proactive. Child birth in a place like Nigeria is between life and death. A sizeable amount of money must be prepared for possible emergencies during birth, especially if registered in a private hospital. IN AT LEAST 7 MONTHS OF PREGNANCY KNOWLEDGE, start borrowing if you have to before date of delivery, if you dont need it, refund it back. It somehow appear like wickedness to let women go in to the labour room that can easily switch to life and death situation more expecially in Nigeria and not have money for operation. We are supposedly smarter than our parents or grandparents and should begin evolve sensibly. I am a man and somehow feel if men were the ones delivering babies, they would make better arrangement for the risk of child birth. |

The gullible "believe" anything stated against their perceived enemies. Any sane person can see through this fool. I listened to the interview, he even started lieing about the adult toy shop assault incident and that his sister was the one molested and laying on the floor when he went to the shop to defend her. What a criminal and loser. Believe any lapdog against the current government at your own peril. They are worse than the folks they accused. |
Most Nigerians dont realise that he took the 2 hardest decisions with fuel subsidy removal and floating of Naira. A decision many politicians are quite afraid to take , so as not to bite the bullet. I suspect one of the reasons he could take it was because he won with less than 40% of the vote of the electorates. The 2 decisions are a hard reset for Nigeria and if well managed will provide great results. |
Agbaka1997:i bet those people were Ibadan people They are not short of shitty talk. Anyone who past the 70 mark is fortunate in Nigeria. Only the daughter died young. |
2 of the 3 were over 70 years and not young. May their soul rest in peace and wishing the former first lady of Oyo state the fortitude to bear the loss. It is a difficult thing to lose a child. |
If you understand how Kigali achieved that through dictatorship, you will not bring any comparism with Lagos. People were chased away from Kigali anything with a semblance of slums, shanties were brought down. The population dropped drastically. |
APOPTOSIS:Where was all that energy when the Governor sacked elected house of assembly members? Oh that does not matter because i hate those APC guys ? Yeah right. Hypocritical folks. A smart person can see the governor was on apoptosis before the president gave him a 6 months hiatus and a hard reset to save his life as he was on a programmed death via impeachment in matter of days. |
I said it ! weak mentality !!! Almost conceding immediately after scoring and finally conceding within 15 minutes is diabolical. It is a weak mentality problem and the coach is the one that can fix it, not necessarily new set of players. As the coach, telling them not to celebrate after scoring and feel some shame struggling to win Zimbabwe in front of their home fans may have helped. |
joshjc:It is a mentality problem. Nigerian players and the coaching crew have a weak mentality and it shows in victory , draw and losses. We have no reason celebrating so hard a win against Rwanda in a group where we are placed 4 out of 6 and had to play another match in 3 days. A strong minded coach will go hard on his players who goes over the moon after that victory. The reason is not far fetched, "human beings are wired to release their legs off an accelerating pedal after a perceived big victory". I wont be surprised if we lose or draw this game. South Africa is currently leading Benin and has 13 points. If i was a coach of that team, i will mandate little or no celebration even during play everytime they score until after matchday 10 for finding themselves in such terrible position. It is a psychological maneuver to pump the players. |
jaxxy:The party removed them from the party they allegedly left What brand of weed are you on? |
123guys:you think it is 72hours ? I should simply take your thought and you have no backing or reference to thatMy first question to the fellow is what rule states it is too late? I need to identify that. Otherwise i suspect self hate. |
jaxxy:so the president can remove the governor who decamps from Apc to PDP because the Apc party told him they are no longer a member of Apc? |
stagger:Abdullahi case was for 2018 world cup qualifiers and not Afcon 2023 qualifier. |
frisky2good:what rule determined that it is too late ? Wasn't. Lesotho game just 4 days ago? It seems an average Nigerian suffers from self hate. |
mikeapollo:In life, you take your chances while playing by the rules. Get off your high horse with that BS of be prepared to play and win on the field of play. If found to be true, the NFF should exploit it while treading cautiously and giving its best support to the Nigerian coaching crew and players Nigeria lost 3 points in the 2018 world cup qualifier for something similar but still qualified though. It was the match against Algeria. All the times Nigeria failed to qualify for world cup in the last 30 years, it is to some flimsy rules like away goals , but equal points. In 2006 world cup qualifier, we had way superior goal difference than Angola. in 2022 world cup qualifier, we lost on away goal to Ghana, even though it was 1-1 aggregate. Go figure. |
jaxxy:Read what you wrote loudly to yourself, If it makes sense to you, i can not help you. |
jaxxy:who gave the governor the power to simply declare the seats of elected representatives vacant? he arrogated power he did not have to himself. When you support nonsense you shut your eyes to illegality and scream blue murder when paid back in your own coin. Judging by that failed logic, a president can declare an APC governor seat vacant if he decides to decamp to PDP. |
jaxxy:A sitting governor can be involved in violence. Those 2 reasons are not mutually exclusive. They and others justify the SOE, things were surely going to get really bloody in the coming days as the impeachment plot finalise, anyone with a workable brain can see that. A sitting governor demolished the house of assembly chambers in 2023 and was taking forever to rebuild it. I will throw your weak ass hypocritical question type back to you. How can a sitting governor demolish the house of assembly chamber? I know you have justified hypocritical answer to spew. How can a sitting governor arrogate power to himself to sack elected house of assembly members? How can a sitting governor be working with 4 house of assembly members? The president intervened countless times even as of this month, but pride and foolishness took centre stage. The Fubara guy is a dunce and should know when to strike a godfather, imagine fighting your godfather less than 100 days in to seat knowing fully well the same Godfather still had attachment and power at the centre. What many of you probably failed to realise is Tinubu is even magnanimous, and had to call the IGP to order else the fubara fellow would have be dealt with a long time ago. There is no saint between Wike and Fubara and i have no problem when a smart move is made to cut off appendage from a godfather, but not foolishly as he did. He could not even buy support of half of the HOA members but was fighting a premature war. Who does that if not a dunce? |
SeriouslySense:Ok, go to the market and ask to buy apple and be presented orange., if that is your level of cognition. |
For those screaming Government should declare state of emergency, it is not far fetched , however if it is discovered that the sitting governor is directly involved in the violence and terrorism, then SOE can be declared. Stop comparing apples and oranges. |
muyico:My apologies |
muyico:okay, i see where you are coming from. Nevertheless, it is a gift to acknowledge mistake. |
muyico:Everything alright with you bro?? It ended 3-2 in 2014. Musa scored twice and Messi also scored twice. Rojo with the winning goal. Take it easy with the stimulants. Ok? |
muyico:I am not sure why you posted the video. The honorable thing to do is to acknowledge the mix up. you are confirming my statement. That was not 2010 world cup and we never lost 3-0 to Argentina. |
Politicians and lies are simply a reflection of Nigerians. See this man claiming to have won 2023 national assembly election in Plateau state under SDP if not for INEC? Every failed politician blames INEC even with less than 10 votes at their polling unit and 2000 votes in their constituency. This man was almost left for dead by his driver My advise to gen Z easily carried away with rhetorics; believe any politician at your own risk. Choose only based on past performance with political life or career life. |
muyico:At no time did Argentina beat Nigeria 3-0 in a FIFA world cup. I watched the 2010 worldcup match, we lost 1-0 and Messi did not score. Are you sure you are not hallucinating because you gave very vivid descriptions that are entirely false. Nigeria has played Argentina 5 times in FIFA worldcup and always lost with a goal interval. 2-1 in 1994, 1-0 in 2002, 1-0 in 2010, 3-2 in 2014 and 2-1 in 2018. I watched all 5 matches live by the way. |
The failure took over in a coup claiming failure of then democratically elected government to combat terrorism but have failed in multiple fold less than 2 years down the line. |
SmartPolician:Stop this nonsense ! How many stadia does Rwanda have? Always denigrating your country like you are competing with who can denigrate it the most. What have you done with your life? Most likely nothing ! Get your ass up and get something done. |
