However, the grandma lives in Nigeria. That is the likely place the child will be. From what i read here, the son Izu has finished his studies in Uk and moved back to Nigeria. Temmy should join them.

I have read most of the comments. I really think that Temmy has not given us all the valid info in this case. The Grandma cannot simply walk in and take the child out of UK. However, grandma should'nt have done that. I'm sure she has her reasons.

Methinks that the best solution right now for Temmy is for her to pack her bags and move to PH to be with both her Daughter and Grandma. From what i've read so far, it appears that grandma is capable of taking care of both Temmy and her grandchild. Things could even work out for the best for everybody involved. It's not complulsory for the child to be raised in the UK.

Temmy should relocate to PH. Who knows, she may form a family unit with the father, her daughter and the grandma.

How come none of you commentators thought of this. You all are busy dishing out blames. My suggestion could be a constructive solution to the problem. Grandma and son obviously love the girl. Temmy should join them in PH, Nigeria. Chikena..

That wasn't the career I chose. Army recruits in the UK earn very close to the minimum wage. A policeman should actually earn significantly more than a soldier considering the work they do.

The same is applicable in the rest of Europe. Recruits in most EU countries earn slightly above minimum wage. A salary of between N50k and N80k for a Nigerian soldier recruit is a fantastic salary within the Nigerian context.

The soldier's family situation and lifestyle will determine whether the salary is enough for him or not. Some of them even have more than one wife.

95% of our soldiers were actually idle before the Boko haram terror broke out. In peace time, they are well paid. Nigeria has no major war to prosecute right now. Fighting BH is not a major war. Many soldiers in the South of Nigeria are still not doing much.

The Soldier works, lives and will spend his salary in Nigeria. Not in the US or UK.

I never knew they earn so much. They are really well paid. The problem is that they will blow their salary at the mammy market before they get home.

Rent in Nigeria for a young family of 3 could be N15,000 a month for a nice 2 bedroom flat. That's about $93 a month. Trying finding that in the US.

Gbam, especially in the olden days. The parents of today should break that mentality. We know better now.

The only schooling that is neccessary is basic schooling. This means primary and secondary schooling. After that,you should pursue your own education.

Like Albert Einstein once said " Schooling is interfering with my education" . I urge young Nigerian men to always remember this mantra. I would rather have my son be an Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson, than a proffessor at ESUT, UNN or UNILAG.

4. Your Residential area: Is your residential area safe or is the ‘waylayability’ very high? Carrying a high budget phone in an area prone to mugging isn’t economic. An acquaintance recently got a nice 5.0 display android phone and was “feeling” the phone on his street one evening. The next thing he saw were bright stars and “plenty plenty” shadows running away. Right now in Lagos, there are a sizeable chunk of second generation Nigerian Americans and British living and working in Nigeria. Tune into some radio stations in Lagos and listen to the accents of some of the presenters.
I no know why this issue dey pain some guys so much. I have spoken to many Nigerians in Europe who admitted to me that they will relocate as soon as the can gather enough money to start a decent life in Nigeria. There was no issue of light no dey, or roads are not good.
