pansophist: Blame the government.Blaming the government is escapist. People who do not want to take responsibilty for their actions. I can write 10 pages on why you should not blame the govt for the fact that Nigerians ruined the image of the country. But i don't have te time for that. I just have a few questions for you. How many people from Zimbabwe, Botwsana, Papua new guinea have you come across in US, Uk or Europe. Those are not particuarly rich countries. Coming closer to home; how many young Hausa men do you see in US, Uk or Europe. The mentality of the people of Southern Nigeria killed our Nigerian passport. Desparation and greed was the reason most of them abused their visa conditions. If every Nigerian that travelled abroad respected their visas, we will still have access to many countries visa free. You will be shocked to know what most Edo, Yoruba, Igbo and Warri people had to go through inorder to obtain that US or UK passport. The young man from Zamfara or Yobe is not that desparate or greedy. They are content with their life. Do not put the blame on the govt. The honest truth is that most us in the south were desparate to move to the west because of pressures from our immidiate sorroundings Besides, embassys DO NOT give visas to poor people. Those Nigerians that stayed 6 years on a visitor's visa presented themslves as rich people at the various embassys. So the arguement that Nigeria is a poor country, hence the devalued passport does not hold water. |
My main man !! Lovely family. Coal-city brought up. E dey show for their body. Where is the next Jay Jay ?. We need one in the present Eagles. |
The move to capture Lagos has started. I'm just wondering who PDP will field to capture Lagos state. Lagos needs to be freed from the clutch of Tinubu. Fresh air comming to Lagos 2015 |
They surely read my post on this matter on another thread. Haha... it's good to be right. That is the most sensible decision. GEJ is the best we have for now. I'm not playing politics here, because i belong to neither PDP nor APC. I am responding as a concerned and proud Nigerian. I just DO NOT want any body to turn the little progress we have booked upside down. GEJ needs another 4 years to consildate. It's not even about Johathan as a person, but about the qualified and dedicated people he sorrounded himself with. I will vote for him, no matter who APC nominates. The Power roadmap is the clincher for me. We need regular electricity like we need Oxygen. Did i hear somebody say : Atiku....Jeeezus ! mere mention of that name turns my stomach. |
okotv: what....Nigerian passport really needs a better image if not we are on a long thingThere is nothing wrong with the Nigerian Passport. Na una spoil am. Some of una go collect visiting visa for 3 months, but come back after 3 years. Some people still dey Yankee 6 years after they were giving a visitor's visa. We are even lucky to get Barbados, Seychelles and Cape Verde visa free. The people of Nigeria devalued the Nigerian Passport. |
That's why the whole property market is a bubble. The prices of houses in Abuja and Lagos as well as other major cities like Enugu are so bloated and inflated. It has no relation whatsover to the cost of actually building the house. The thieving politicians have ruined the property market for most Nigerians. Personally, i do not have any business with Abuja. I remain a Lagos boy. I like to live where there are lots of water. |
No need to waste money on primaries. GEJ is the candidate ! Chikena. In Nigeria, we're always trying to be more catholic than the Pope. We copied American style democracy, but no American challenges a sitting president who still has a second term to run. Only in Naija. GEJ till 2019. |
I have never visited Linda ikeji blog. This controversy might make me pay a quick visit. However, i really do not think any forum or blog can compare with Nairaland in Africa. It's the biggest and the best. It will also outlive all other fora. Linda Ikeja has a need for a Range Rover sport, Seun does not. What's the big deal here ?. |
Keneking: Nkiruka ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhYou also have Azuka... the opposite. There is also Echezona, which is a short form of Echezonachukwu. |
Breaking news or not, it is very important that we maintain the level of progress we have in the country now. GEJ has built confidence in both local and international investors. The Fresh air MUST continue. Besides, i DO NOT see any credible alternative in both the PDP and APC. Everybody should chill out till 2019. |
Before you finish saying ' Hello' the N50 is gone. They should concentrate on reducing the rate per minute. |
They got it cheap. N56b is rather on the cheap side. I smell mago-mago somewhere. |
That picture is gross !!. He's going to jail. People should learn to think twice and hold back. |
Ojukwu is my hero, but that name makes ESUT sound like Havard. It's a tongue twister. |
NO ! they have not. PDP has bigger plans for Ribadu. Wait, watch, and see how things play out post 2015. |
That guy is as gulity as sin. But i'm afraid he might get away with a manslaughter conviction. |
That "Chicano" in yellow rain boots looks like he's doing all the farming. Anyway, good move by Sullivan. Enugu adigo mma x 2 |
pheesayor: I used to look forward to your posts until you went underground for a long time and returned as an anti-APC agent. My friend, cut that crap about cement. " he did'nt get cement cheap, so the houses can't be cheap". Are you serious. We all know the price of a bag of cement. Besides, he must have bought cheaper because he bought in bulk. There is no justification for selling "low cost" houses for N25m. Have you seen the price of an ordinary shop at Tejuosho market ?. These people are thieves. We are flushing them out come 2015. APC CANNOT come back. |
It's about time. Anammco has been left to rot for a long time. I thought Innoson was interested in acquiring it. Anyway, Frank Nneji is very much welcome. I'm guessing it's the same Nneji that owns ABC transport. |
I will have to come back later to read the article in full. It's loooong. Mr. Ukwuano ( Equiano ) was a great Igboman |
Op's problem boils down to lack of experience. He also knows very little about cars. It must be his first time of travelling that route. It's a very old trick that most travellers know. But to pay N113,000 is sheer ignorance. I sympathize with him and i hope he has learnt his lessons. For N35k he could have towed the car to Lagos assuming the damage was real. |
UjSizzle: When I try it, I'll let you know.Ok, keep us updated when you make up your mind. |
musicwriter: This type of thread may encourage racism and ignorance.I very much agree with the bolded. But i do not agree that the term " African American" should be questioned. It would have been ideal if every American is simply called ' American'. You know that is not the case. The reality is totally different. I have seen and heard the so-called "lost tribes of Europe" refer to themselves as Italian, Irish, jew, German etc without even adding American to it. They are not quite as 'Lost' as you think. So, i ask you, what should Americans with African roots call themselves? . Do not tell me 'American' because that is not realistic. |
UjSizzle: Contemplating a lesbian relationshipGood. Now i can ask you a question i've always wanted to ask lesbians; Why do lesbians use strap on d*icks ?. It's confusing to me. |
Ok, more money is pouring in now. Can we then buy a bag of cement for N1000. Nigerian consumers are the real 'mugu' to all these foreign investors. The shove all their products down our throat at exhorbitant prices. Heineken reaps it's highest profit from the Nigerian market. |
Edusouls: Enugu is a place where poverty rate is too high, so many cult groups, gangs, numerous aimless students and unemployement is the highest in the whole south east, possibly the whole nigeria, so hiring cheap assasins re so easy in such a place where there is so much potential individuals, for such work, may the souls of the deceased R.I.P, is so so sad and heartbreaking news...Because of your innate jealousy, insecurity and obsession with Enugu state and it's people, you made it a call of duty to castigate and paint Enugu and it's people in a negative way at the slightest opportunity. I chose to ignore your comments on the thread about building roads in Enugu. From now on i will be on your a.rse. I don't know if you lost your plot of land in Enugu or not, but whatever is the cause of your jealousy and hate of Enugu state should be resolved by you in the quietness of the cave you live in. Besides if you don't like the Coal city State, get the f*ck out. Enugu is a major urban center. Such shooting incident happens in most urban centers in the world. it's not perculiar to Enugu. It certainly has nothing to do with the Poverty rate. Poor people cannot afford to buy automatic guns. These boys are just criminals. period. I was born and bred at Enugu and very proud of it. Spit any other vernom from your dirty, twisted mouth and you're mine. |
I don't see how that will solve anything. EVD hits one when you least expect it. I don't go to the bank to hug and shake strangers. |
I think that people were dumping their refuse there before the school was set up. That's why they continued to dump regardless. You will not believe how people claim public spaces and roads in Lagos. You can't even park your car along the road anymore because some shop owner or school have put some kind of obstacle there. Claiming a public road to himself. It's only in Lagos that someone will block an entire street or road just to throw a personal party. There is too much impunity in Lagos. The residents are prolly pissed off with the school. You can tell from the strong wording of the sign. Still love Lagos though... |
More cement factories springing up everywhere, yet they cannot bring the price to N1000 and under. A bag of cement should not sell for more than N1000 . Anyway, the railway line Lagos - Calabar is a good idea. Hope it passes through Enugu and Abakiliki. |
I'm guessing these are his daughters not wives . The man is 76 years old !! |
It's a stoopid law and a complete waste of public fund. It does not change anything. The " No means No" law was hard enough to implement. Girls generally respond with their body and eyes. No Naija babe will tell you "Yes, you can fu*k me now" . No akata babe either. They will show you that they are ready. Some girls will even grab your d*ck without saying a word. |
