Picture or video or you know the rest.... |
peeparty:The way you posed the question is wrong anyway. She will have to change the name of the property to her new name which includes my name. That's actually the most legally secure option. For example, Linda Ikeji will change the name of the property at Banana island to Linda ikeji Chinom. That is the way it's done. |
peeparty:If I jam and marry Linda Ikeji, she go change am without force. It will be a natural progression. After all, she changed her surname to mine, or at least added mine to hers. Once she drops the first child, the rest will follow. Even Linda knows that if she marries an Igbo man. |
Where I come from, a woman CAN NOT own land. 'nuff said. And a married woman, totally not. |
A POOR MAN'S CONSOLATION. Since all living things will die anyway, why not strive to die a Dangote or Bill Gates instead of some church rat. That poor, lazy somebody will die too and would probably head to hell first before Bill Gates. Guy, go out and hustle. You will die when you will die. Chikena. |
dominique:He does not have to set foot in Nigeria to be IGBO. His DNA reads IGBO. It's in the gene. Just like Scottish people and Norwegian people all over the world claim to be Celtic and Viking tigers. Mr. Olisa is an Igbo tiger. |
Utter bunkum, Okorocha never said anything like that. This is only in Kogi. Only God knows what will happen if Buhari should die within a year. Tinubu and Osinbajo will have to go on exile ![]() |
Common sense tells me that the APC in Kogi will ever allow Faleke to take over. No body voted for him. People voted for Audu because of Audu and not for the appendage called Faleke. Despite what the legal implications may be, I cannot see the APC in Kogi backing Faleke to take over in case fresh elections are called. This is a whole new scenario for us all. Keyamo is guessing like everyone else. INEC and the courts will decide what to do next. I think that INEC as the umpire here has an upper hand. INEC will first make a decision before anyone decides to go to court or not. My humble suggestion is that INEC should conduct a fresh election with a fresh candidate nominated by the APC. Faleke's joint ticket with Audu, died with Audu. The election was not concluded. Fresh poll is the only sensible option. |
Igbos are not going anywhere. Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are frauds. There are more Igbos in Lagos than Asaba. Why are there no protests in Lagos ?. Or Abuja. |
Jesus Christ !!!. All I can ask is What did she do wrong?. The brothers were obviously insane with rage. Unbelievable. Women, please run, run for your dear lives. Don't always stand in a man's face and dare him. I'm saying this for the love of our women. |
sonnie10:Very useful tip. Would come in handy. |
spyder880:Thanks for posting this. I am keeping a tab on it. Especially, the tangible and fixed materials. It remains the quantity and cost of iron rods. My interest lies more on the quantity used and not necessarily on the prices. |
NL1960:Most elder brothers and uncles are like that. Sometimes a very close and good friend is even better. It's only when you leave it in the hands of younger siblings that one gets ripped off. Living in the hands of women (sisters, mothers and aunts) is worse. The builder will just pull wools over their eyes. All material, workers and supervision charges would be inflated by as much as 60%. |
KolaShangOne:Believe and trust these builders at your own peril. Spyder880 who publishes his prices here is the closest you can get to an honest builder/contractor. Some family members, usually the younger ones step in when they realize that the contractor is trying to rip off their brother in the diaspora. Most of the time it's the builder that offers them a cut in order for them to convince their brother to keep the funds coming. The only remedy for the guy abroad is if he makes out time to come down and buy the materials himself. He can then negotiate on the charges for supervision and workers. |
Last bullet : No self respecting (investment) Banker leaves the bank to become a commissioner in any state government. Can you imagine NOI, Arunma Otte, Jim Ovia, Elumelu, Tunde Ayeni or the guy at GTB, can't remember his name, accepting an appointment as a commissioner in any state. I'm pretty sure President Buhari is looking for a face-saving way out. He goofed, otherwise it's a calculated plan to loot. Tinubu has a hand in this appointment. |
Our very own Escober !. I remember him. |
Below is my post of 11/11 for which I was vilified. Judge for yourself. The bit about Peckham was stated out of mild irritation because some people deem it fit to drop that she was born in London. Nobody gains any experience in Nigeria by being a commissioner. The governor controls everything. How in the world did we go from Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to this woman. Being born and raised in Peckham or Hackney is not enough qualification to be made the minister of Finance. Why can't we be objective for once and remove tribe from all equations. There are many more qualified Yoruba women that could handle the finance ministry. If I recall correctly, a Yoruba woman was once the MD of Ecobank. The only reason I can think of why she was given the minister of Finance, is that somebody, somewhere wants to pull the strings from a distance. It could be Tinubu, it could be Buhari, I don't know. I just don't see how being a commissioner of finance in Ogun state qualifies her to be our minister of finance for the entire nation. Some commissioners in my state cannot spell the word 'commissioner' correctly. I know them. Please let's put tribe aside. This woman should have been made the minister of Tourism. |
“Adeosun’s appointment to head the most important ministry during a time of economic crisis will stir some controversy. She is relatively inexperienced, especially compared to her immediate predecessor Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a political heavyweight,” says Malte Liewerscheidt, senior Africa analyst at Verisk Maplecroft. “Adeosun has a strong background in the UK’s private financial sector but may struggle to navigate federal politics as the only post she previously held in Nigeria was Commissioner of Finance in Ogun State.” - FORBES. I rest my case. Some nitwits here thought I was being tribal. Enlightened and objective thinkers saw what I saw. |
– Kemi Adeosun (finance) –kachu The 48-year-old was born and raised in London, where she studied economics and public financial management, going on to become a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. A trained accountant, she was until recently finance commissioner in the southwest Nigerian state of Ogun, where she was credited with turning around public finances. Marvinspeed:Well, here is your better answer; Mrs Alhassan is not yet a governor. She would have to win the Appeal, maybe all the way to the Supreme court before she can be sworn in as governor. If that happens, she will be withdrawn as a minister. |
Marvinspeed:The answer lies in disgusting and nauseating party politics. The minister of finance was just a commissioner in Ogun state. That ministry is waaaay too big for her. Even Amaechi started as a member of the house of assembly. An Otimkpu for Peter. Ikechukwu Odili. |
One of the few round peg in round holes. Appointment was based solely on merit. He was not a partisan politicians. We should NOT make everything tribal. THE TRUTH MUST STAND ALONE. |
Sex is the great equalizer. Sometimes, that's all the poor man and his wife has to fall back to. Most poor people know no control. That's why ghettoes all over the world are thickly populated. |
The SGF is a Northerner. The minister of state Aviation is Buhari's brother from the same state and you guys think that Amaechi will have any say on Aviation matters? !!. You people should wake up and see the reality. PMB has a hidden agenda. |
We need another minister of finance please. Nothing personal. Buhari fall my hand, big time. Maybe, he was just looking for stooges. I smell a rat somewhere. |
NgeneUkwenu:I am just seeing the rubbish you posted here. Since when did you become the Secretary to government of the Federation. Wait till things start to play out for real. Amaechi's post will just be a rubber stamp. He will be made so redundant. I don't have anything against him in person, but I am sure that President Buhari wil strip 80% of those agencies from his ministry. Some of the ones you mentioned are not even under the ministry of transport as of today. |
Demdem:How on earth did you come to the conclusion that there is no ministry of Aviation ?. Are you sure you are applying your mushy brain. Amaechi has no junior minister. Period. If he had, he would be named minister of state for Transportation. |
OBAGADAFFI:Yes, but then we have a minister of power. there is also a minister of state for foreign affairs, Labour, Education etc. alongside the ministers in these ministries. But, we do not have a minister of state for transportation. We only have Amaechi as minister. Aviation has always been separated from the transportation ministry. Just watch how things unfold. Besides, the new minister of state, Aviation is a qualified and experienced pilot from Buhari's home state. Do you think he will report to Amaechi ? |
abu12:President Buhari - Minister of Petroleum Ibe Kachikwu - Minister of state Petroleum Rotimi Amaech - Minister of Transportation Sen Hadi Sirika - Minister of state Aviation. We do not have a minister of Aviation. What we have for the aviation ministry is a minister of state. He will report only to the President. Does this make it clear for you?. |
I understand that Buhari has to reward those that got him to power, but this list of ministers is the most politically motivated I've seen in Nigeria's history. OBJ's en GEJ's administration was not like this. They at least made some efforts to get seasoned technocrats from within and outside Nigeria. With ministers like Lai Mohammed, Amaechi and that Allhassan lady, I don't see how we will progress. Unless PMB is just window-dressing. He might sidetrack them totally. |
