Nothing arrogant about Ojukwu. It's pure, unadulterated self confidence. He was truly the finest and most sophisticated " Nigerian" soldier of his generation. He made the Hausa and some Yoruba officers look like riff raffs and chaff. Danjuma is known to be immensely jealous of the great Ikemba. WHAT A MAN !!

That is a ridiculous action and probably fake anyway. I have about 5 old tossed MTN Sim cards. I could break any of them and take a picture.
My friend, carry a placard and move your lazy azz to the MTN head office. We may join you there. Alternatively, organize a looting spree for Shoprite. Especially the one at Ikeja.
That shop could be emptied in 30 minutes given the location.
PoliticsRe: Why My Cabinet Will Be Small – Buhari by Chinom(m): 12:28pm On Apr 19, 2015
barcanista:
oga e be like you and Buhari no understand our constitution.
1. The Constitution makes it MANDATORY for every state to produce at least a Minister. That means the minimum number of Ministers will be 36 at any time.

2. Buhari cannot regulate the income of the NA, they are autonomous, they regulate their own pay by themselves.

3. Buhari is showing us that his party ie his puppetteers will determine his government. That is the beginning of his flop. He should check the antecedent of men like Oyegun, Akande, Tinubu, Atiku, Sam Jaja etc...
I know what the constitution says, but a strong president, which I expect Buhari to be, will and should call the bluff of party and carry out policies for the benefit of the common people of Nigeria. GMB will fail woefully if he toes party lines. He should be prepared for a head on collision with the National assembly in which his party has the majority anyway.
Some of you people always throw up the constitution any time I mention cutting the salaries of members of the NA. That is absurd. The NA assembly gets allocations based on the budget prepared and presented by the minister of finance. Buhari can surely twist their arms if the will is there. Have you forgotten that OBJ withheld Lagos state allocations for months despite it being determined in the constitution.
Even recently GEJ slashed Rivers state's allocations singlehandedly.
This is the time for Buhari to kick azz and do what he has to do to salvage the country. He cannot use the NA assembly as an excuse. Once the people are behind him, he can do it. I don't even want them to paid salaries anymore. They should only be given sitting allowances and should live in their own homes and use their own cars. Buhari can force those changes. You will be surprised how many NA members will be in support. They've all made enough money already. In fact APC should champion that cause. Nigeria can never move forward if a Nigerian senator continues to earn more than Obama. That's outrageous.

PoliticsRe: Why My Cabinet Will Be Small – Buhari by Chinom(m): 11:56am On Apr 19, 2015
GMB should tackle the electricity problem head on. A small cabinet may help to conserve funds, but will only be effective if the salaries and allowances of members of the NA are slashed by 50%. We need to reduce the recurrent expenditure.

Meanwhile give us constant electricity. Continue from GEJ stopped. That small cabinet should be manned by competent and qualified technocrats. Avoid politicians.

Why they didn't give South East Speaker? We will not allow that to happen. I feel I still have the capacity to shake the foundation of this government for good thing to take place.
Of what use is the Speakership of the house for South East ?. It is a useless post as far as I'm concerned. He is just like a Senior prefect in a classroom. SGF is a more useful post for Igbos. All ministers report to him and have to go through him to get their ministerial allocations. We need the Aviation or power ministry too.

Worthless, inconsequential posts. Igbos don't need them. We've had the senate presidency so many times and it brought us nothing. Speakership of the house is even more useless.

I am only interested in knowing the caliber of people that will run the Nigerian economy in GMB's regime. Who are the ministers?, who is the head of the CBN?, who will manage the Energy sector ?. Those are the important positions. They should leave Atiku as the chairman of the BOT of the party for life. We never wish to see him in public life again. Amechi should be given a party post.

SE and SS should hold on tightly to PDP. We should prevent Nigeria from becoming a one party state controlled by the Hausa/Fulani feudal lords. SW have sold their soul.

What roadmap are you talking about. FYI I am in the industry very closest to power. Barth Nnaji did not draw any roadmap, neither are we implementing anything today. 6years of over $500m in power, yet it is sub 4 GW we're rooted in in capacity generation.

Fayemi needs not join the Army to deliver value. I has a unique offering that is hardly available so why not use it.

But that said, there's something you're not considering with all the names you're flying around. All the proposed ministerial nominees would have been agreed 95% in APC and it will consist of those who were involved in APC's battle and victory. So knock out your Nnaji, Ezekweseli and co.....
In other words Amechi and Tinubu will submit the names of ministerial nominees. That's a huge insult to Buhari. Are you aware that Buhari is not interested in a second term in office. He wants to leave his mark now. No party will dictate to him. Tinubu's influence ends in Lagos. Amechi is gone. Buhari has already sent the first signal by appointing Pastor Bakare to head the selection committee.

Hate him for all u care but tinubu delivered fashola, brought a merger with GMB. This is what a leader does.
He is a brilliant man. I do not hate him as a person. It's not his fault. It is solely the fault of the subservient Yoruba immigrants in Lagos. All Tinubu did was bring out somebody. He never forced anybody to vote for Ambode. But Hero worship is in the nature of the Yoruba race. Tinubu is their hero for now.
With GMB it was a marriage of convenience. Tinubu and in fact Buhari had no choice but to merge. Tinubu showed his brilliance by assisting Buhari to win the nomination which he promised Buhari as a condition for joining the APC. Buhari was the only hope APC had to win the presidency. Tinubu needed to hold on to Lagos, because with Buhari in the centre, Tinubu will have little or no influence.

I'm with him on that. He should never run again. PDP should commence the search for a young, well known Lagosian for 2019. I have nothing against Ambode. He might be a good governor, but i just do not like the fact that Tinubu is still in charge.

Fashola should have picked his successor as is done in most of the states in the federation. We can not continue to allow one man decide the fate of 20 million + odd people. Many countries in this world are not even up to 5 million in population. Lagos is a country / nation of it's own. Tinubu is becoming the Chiarman Mao of Lagos. I resent that.

Good luck to Ambode.

Choosing Pastor Bakare is a very good move. Buhari is and remains the only reason APC won massively. I just hope we will not be disappointed. Personally, i DO NOT want to see any politician appointed as minister. Buhari and Bakare should go for knowledgeable technocrats who have little interest in politics.
The only politician that may be considered is Chris Ngige as a form of compensation for losing his senatorial seat. I know he will perform. Please lets have serious minded experts in key ministries like Power, Petroleum, Finance and works. Nigerians need to see and feel this CHANGE within a year.

Nigeria and Nigerians still have a long way to go politically. Almost everyone that won today relocated from the PDP to the APC. It's still the same people. They just swapped a few letters of the party name.

Buhari is really the only hope this nation has. As it stands now, APC will do their own 16 or 20 years in power before we can talk of any reasonable opposition. There are no principles, no scruples in Nigerian politics. It's all very, very selfish.

Lagos did this Lagos did that. Is it for free? The tax i pay will probaby pay you 2months salary at a go. At a tax rate of 24% I pay about N300k tax per month. I do not know where else that figure gets paid in Nigeria at my level. So just shut up. Lagos has done nothing for anybody. Everybody in Lagos is contributing to make Lahos whT is is. We are even feeding your omoniles and motor park touts when we park our cars and pay them between N400 and N500 per hour. Tell me in one sentence what Lagos has done for me. I buy your land at cut throat with my money. I settle multiple families in the name of omoniles. I employ your wretched azz brothers to work on the project. I pay my taxes and use the facilities arising out of my money. I work for annorganized private sector company and report to a non yoruba MD but have 3 yorubas reporting directly to me and quite a few others across the function reporting to me too both igbos, yorubas and other Nigerians. We treat each other with mutual respect. Pray what exactly has yoruba land done for me as a favour?
Excellent point. Yorubas do not realize that Igbos are in Lagos strictly for the money. We are not in Lags for the love of the Yorubas. As a matter of fact we are helping the indigenes in a thousand and one way. I can very much relate to the post above. It has just occurred to me that all the artisans working on my projects are Yorubas and some Hausa labourers. We are actually sustaining many Yoruba and Hausa families in Lagos. All the mechanics I've ever known and used in Lagos are Yorubas. I once got frustrated with their attitude to work that I started looking for an Igbo mechanic. Believe me, I couldn't find one within a radius of 50km.
Lagos is only attractive because of the huge population and market made up of mostly non-Yoruba's . But,the question remains : What has Lagos really done for me ?.

So it is the tradition of You Yoruba people in Lagos to hand over our collective wealth to Tinubu. What kind of moronic respect is that. Are we all retards in Lagos ?. With Ambode in the government house, Tinubu is still in charge, with his hand deep into our collective wealth. What I really don't get is why the Yorubas hated this man so much? Is he not a Yoruba man? Why the hate on him? Somebody just said it is because he seeked the support of Igbos and non indigenes in the election. Well if that is true, then the hatred the yorubas have for the Igbos is beyond this earth. If you take a look at all the comments in this thread, it is littered with yorubas abusing the Igbos for no just cause. When the Igbos respond they will say igbos this, igbos that. All I can see is people filled with hate and rabid gelousy. Just because jimi agbaje is seeking the support of other tribes, they now transfer d hatred they have for other tribes to him. They preferred to be to the apron strings of bola tinubu forever. While d man becomes more richer from "tithes" he receives from his stooges (fashola and maybe now Ambode) you lot continue to persih in poverty and hate. You guys should continue with your hate filled lives and see where it gets u

This can only happen to Yoruba people because they lack balls and are very subservient in nature. Tinubu has been in charge since 1999. Compare that to what happens in Anambra and Enugu state. In Enugu, Jim Nwobodo brought in Chimaroke Nnamani. Nnamani gave Jim the 'middle finger' as soon he became governor. Nnamani brought in Chime who in turn told him to fvck off.
In Anambra Ngige told Andy Uba to go to hell after Uba made him governor. No body, no matter how rich or highly placed puts the Igboman in his pocket.
Tinubu has the Yorubas in the balls. I just do not understand the mentality of this people. Kind of slavish and sheepish !!.

You all seem to have forgotten the Oba's threat. The Igbos will only perish in the lagoon IF Agbaje wins. But if Ambode wins, then we are safe.

Hence, Agbaje = Lagoon life. Ambode = We stay dry. Some Yoruba posters here have forgotten that. They want to see Igbos in the Lagoon no matter who wins. Well, I have my life jacket ready in case Agbaje wins. But if Ambode wins, any Yoruba mofo that comes near me will be thrown into the Lagoon.

'"But INEC had a plan B: the registration of voters and the collection of PVCs. This was bogus and lopsided; skewed most especially against the South-East where only 7.6 million were registered and 5.6 million PVCs collected. Compare this with the war-torn North-East: 9.1 million were registered and 7.4 million collected. But the most outrageous were the figures of the North-West. 17.6 million registrations and 15.1 million collections were recorded in the North-West; much more than the figures in the entire South-East and South-South combined"

This is serious. We trusted Jega all this while, but he had a hidden agenda. Those cards are PERMENENT VOTERS CARD. They will be used for subsequent elections in Nigeria. This is a calculated plan to make sure that no body will govern Nigeria without the consent or if you like permission of the North.
We need a credible census asap. Aribisala made a very valid point. Yorubas should be on the "Watch out". We are being screwed here.

Anyway, I stumbled on this and feel it's worth sharing. COPIED: Dear Lagosian, Yoruba are very decent and reasonable people. No tribe will entertain On their Land what is going on in Lagos. We all condemn the statement of OBA AKIOLU.But let us ask ourselves one important question,WHY IS OBA AKIOLU ANGRY WITH IGBOS? My answers are: (1), I will elevate Eze Ndigbo to the status of OBA AKIOLU of Lagos- jimi Agbaje. (2), igbo will determine who rules Lagos- Ifeanyi Ubah. (3), Lagos is no man's Land- Ifeanyi Ubah during Tan Campaign. (4), Igbo developed and controlled Lagos- Jimi Agbaje. (5), We must produce the next deputy Governor of Lagos- Eze Ndigbo. My Questions to IGBOS. (1) Can Obi of Onitsha accepts all the above mentioned? (2) can Emir if Kano accept...? (3) Do you have any single tribe in your Cabinet in the East? (4) Can any tribe claim Onitsha. or Aba to be No Man's Land? (5) Can Obi of Onitsha accept the elevation of Sarkin Hausa in Onitsha to Obi status? My conclusion: We have been living together as brothers and sisters. For years in peace,You must respect our Tradition and Institutions.Ifeanyi Ubah should stop Jumping around Lagos beating drums of War. God bless Yoruba,Hausa, and Igbo!!!!
Your point is noted. But we are talking about LAGOS, not Ogbomosho, Kano, Aba or Ondo. Yoruba's will do themselves a favour when they accept that Lagos does not have the same status with Ogbomosho or Abeokuta in Yoruba land. 90% of the occupants and residents of Lagos are immigrants and migrants from Ondo, Ogun, Anambra, Enugu, Edo, Kano, Kastina etc. Even Ambode himself and Tinubu are immigrants. You do not own Lagos just by virtue of the fact that you are Yoruba.
We all built Lagos. Lagos is a No man's land because the indigenous people of Lagos (not migrants from Oyo, Ogun, Ondo etc) do not make up to 10% of the population. No other state in the Federation received the amount of investments made in Lagos by the Federal republic of Nigeria. It is our collective wealth. Lagos will sooner be made a Federal protected territory before any tribe can lay claim to it.
So my dear Yoruba people, accept Lagos for what it is. Many of my Yoruba friends in Lagos are building houses in their villages in Ondo, Osun and Ekiti. Some of them are here shouting; We own Lagos. Stop dreaming !!.

Bullcrap !! RMAFC is an commission under the ministry of finance. Buhari appoints the minister of finance who is answerable to him. The Buhari I know can do this easily with the backing of the Nigerian people. He, as the president can refuse to endorse whatever motion or act the NA would pass.
If he sticks to his gun and refuses to pay them what they want, coupled with the backing of the masses, the members of the NA will eventually give in. Do not forget that his party controls the majority. What the past presidents lacked was the will power to push it through. Allocations are actually determined by the executive man. OBJ withheld Lagos state allocation for months despite it being an act of the NA and constitutionally determined.
