Go unto the street today and find out, too many Nigerian kids lack self confidence due to these things we think are normal.

I try as much as possible to communicate with my children and show what is right or wrong by my actions as well. Kids will always be kids but there are various punishments corrective measures that I dole out depending the severity of what they have done. BRUTALITY? NEVER!!. Even after the punishment I take my time to talk to them and explain why what they did is wrong and why they had to be corrected.

....... and guess what? their general behaviour is brilliant and they are super confident!

rufychuks: This is the best explanation anyone can ever give. Most places that were utterly diabolic in the east were converted by showing that God is greater than their idols. Most churches are built on evil forests. Does this make that church evil? Definitely not! Instead, it resets the heart of the villagers to turn to the true God. emmasege: This is why I am not 100% a fan of any of these prominent ministers of the gospel in Nigeria. They seem to make so many contradictory statements often times either in words or in actions, such that any dogmatic follower of theirs would have fallen into error b4 he/she ever realised that. Are we talking about the same Pastor Kumuyi that was a guest preacher at the National (CAN-organised) Christmas carol held at the National Ecumenical center some 2/3 years ago, with the Deeper Life choir fully participating at the event.
As a protestant Christian, I am fully in support of any tradition that proclaims and reminds people that Jesus was born into this world so that the world could be reconciled to God.
A better way of challenging the celebration of Christmas especially in the western world should have been: "There is no point celebrating Christmas without Christ". This should be the message of Deeper Life and other opponents of Christmas to the world and not by outrightly condemning a tradition that still in a way reminds some nations (e.g. USA, UK etc) of their Christian heritage.

ajasa4link: Did u see d nominees list? I guess u didn't. most of these artists u mentioned were not nominated at all, so they couldn't have won without being nominated. It's not in my responsibility to explain their absence from the nominees list,but according to the official account given by d award organisers,those nominated were those songs that rocked between mid 2012 to June 2013.

And for u to even consider ice prince as what rap represents says a whole lot about what u know about hiphop.
For God's sake,stop asking the dumb question why this or that artist did not win the award,the answer is simple; BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE U DID NOT VOTE FOR UR CHOICE,BUT WILL RATHER COMPLAIN WHEN UR ARTIST OF CHOICE DID NOT WIN ANYTHING.
Saying some artists won the award because they were mtn ambassadors is just a baseless conspiracy theory because there u have waje to negate ur claim.

Princewell2012: Actualy the bible did not give us the specific date when Jesus was born. We are only guesing about about the date, nobody is 100 percent sure of, when Jesus was born, therefore i may choose a particular date, and name it chrismas , and i begin to celebrate on that day, each year, it is not an offence nor do i comited any sin .nowwhat matter most is the motive behind it.

Darhmee: hey guys.. just a little update.. we we called from the embassy to come drop a copy of our marriage cert.. so I went 2 do d drop off and the pickup of our originals and we were told to com for d visa nxt thursday.. I met some other people who were doing drop offs too and also, people who were being interviewed.

plenty visas were approved to my face and just 1 was denied by that beautiful black american chic.. d guy won a dv lotery.. when he got to the window, he had issues with his place of birth, d one in his initial application is diff from the one he filled in d form, so he explaind that it was a mistake and the lady overlooked, then d lady decided to ask him about his edu qualification, he said he just gained admission to a uni so d lady decided to ask him what econs, commerce, opportunity cost is but he didnt answer well, so she asked what he was doing befor gaining admission and he he has searchin for a job and playing football.. his visa wasnt approved anyway..

pls if applying as single, read ur books well, they believe ur still young and so, ur brain shld be sharp like that..

G2Glory: Most DV interviews conducted were scheduled for 7am. I do believe it's not a matter of whether 7am or 10am - It's all about God's favour.

If your is schedule for 10am, you have equal chance as those schedule for 7am, just get prepare & trust in GOD. Not of he that willeth or he that runneth but of the Lord God that showeth mercy.

toye88: @chiwuike20 the process I went thru is similar to other success stories earlier posted by others...and i want to avoid repeating what has been said thats why I pointed out the exception I noted (attitude). However, as a concession please ensure you have photocopies of ur docs, its better to have the 330 dollars cash because rates are increasing by the day and you may not be sure of the exact naira...some small papers will be handed to you before you enter ( a blue paper-square in shape; a paper for your contact details -to be filled when you enter the hall; and the payment paper) please keep those docs properly to avoid embarrasment!...hope this satisfies your observation?

toye88: Went to the embassy on wed. After some security checks I finally got in, some of the staff were a bit rude ( Sec. Guards & Junior staff) however, the CO was nice. Got the visa eventually... ...Learning Point: Just chill guys when its ur turn things will work out fine once you have ur docs and requirements...we should start focussing on the new life in USA...

adeadebayor: congratulation to those that have collected there visa and those awaiting interview, including me, will find favor IJN. I m a beneficiary my spouse is d principal applicant. I want to find out if my credential wil b required among d documents requested by d embassy. the reason being dat on my waec my third name is Jimoh but other documents including my GCE carries Adebayo as third name. The jimoh i hv dropped. Will dis not pose any problem @ d interview. i await immediate response on this.
