Hi guys, Who has the scoop on the evoque. That car looks like a work of art to me, although my friends say the 2.0 litre engine should make me think again. I am now leaning towards the x6, but I see that the car is becoming popular, oh and they say it's a ladies car as well. |
Here I was thinking I was the only one who seeing this madness going on TV. Ronaldo is a great footballer then suddenly he should be angel gabe. Any parent who thinks their kids should get more than a wasn't that an awesome goal from a sports man ought to be locked up. Shiiiiiiiiiiiii ![]() |

dabossman: You're the joker here bro. I have not once tried to impose any belief on you. You are the one who is seemingly intolerant of others views and belief systems. How are you different from the Christians you are so want to attack? You think just because you don't believe in God makes you better than those who do? Does the fact that you don't believe in God somehow increase your IQ or your bank account? Does it confer a status upon you that is greater than every other living being?Lol you are still frothing. 25.....that's the number of questions you have asked ever since you started your feeble response. For all I care you could jump into this thread dressed as a banshee screaming that the Flying Spaghetti Monster did the healing.........it would not stop me from saying that belief aligns with the doctrine of yaba left disciples. As you can see this is not working, go look for minds like yours and do mud pit dance with them. It won't stop people from saying you are dirty..... ![]() |
dabossman: Clap for yourself. Can Steve Jobs prevent your Ipad from having a cracked screen simply because he created it? Can the Wright Brothers prevent planes from crashing to the ground simply because they created it. Can your parents preventing you from harm 100% simply because they provided the sperm and egg that made you?Lmao Zmapp is not another book of the bible, neither was the ambulance jet a chariot of fire. Ok I see the real problem here is comprehension. Stop crying I am not going to take your fantasy away Biko direct your God to Liberia and Sierra Leone his heroics are needed there |
AdeniyiA:And how does this quite help the thousands stricken from this disease in Liberia? Gaaaan rest jor. |
dabossman: Yeah, why allow computer viruses in the first place. Why allow it to infect our systems. Why allow some computers to crash and others survive. Oh, sorry I thought you were talking about computer viruses. What are you on about, there are many points for God to show his power, First he/she/it is directly responsible for the existence of this virus if you attribute creation of the world to God. If he loved man that much and intended for no suffering at least design the viruses to be harmless to humans. 1. You make man and make virus that can kill man. ----dumbarse design 2. The virus then infects man and starts to kill man ----- you refuse to show power 3. Everyone infected with virus prays --- you save some and let the others die just to show you have power to save them from a virus you made to kill them in the first place. Where is the praise for science for 1. Finding out what this virus which God created is 2. Telling us that this is how it is transmitted 3. Telling us how to manage it......the list is endless Bible quotes flying everywhere, nonsense. You have the freedom to believe what does not make sense, it does not stop anyone from saying what you believe does not add up. |
You guys saying awesome God, why is there a virus in the first place? Why allow it infect his children? Why allow some people die and save the others ? Nonsense Create a virus that kills more than 2500 people till date just so that you can save a few of them and show your mighty power........that is the definition of warped thinking. There is no God in all this abeg, when the virus hit it was hand sanitizer that went scarce not bibles. ![]() |

purplesummer: She was isolated in PH before she was transferred to Lagos for treatment where she eventually died. I hope it's clearer now? Then the news should have said died in Lagos. Not port harcourt. |
The wife of the Port Harcourt doctor who died was being treated at an isolation unit in Lagos, while another case was in a quarantine facility in the oil industry hub.;first it says the person who dies was at the ph isolation center. Then it says the wife - of the doctor that died - was being treated at Lagos. Something is not right with the comprehension. |

onatisi: fashola will only win in your lagos and osun. When it comes to presidential elections nigerians always think thrice . So fashola will win in the north or south east ,abi?the point is ppl living in lagos and some south west think that apc is widely accepted nationwide as it is in their yoruuba states and region which is not the caseBros I ain't a pdp or Apc fan. Fielding disgruntled pdp members against established pdp members is not smart strategy. Gej would THOROUGHLY BEAT atiku even in the north, as for the South south west or even south east just FORGERABOURIT. If na atiku no need to waste campaign millions. And this is fashola only chance I would reckon. In four years no one will remember his midas touch not to talk of 8 years. |
I know it, you know it, we all know the only way to defeat GEJ is to field fashola. The Apc lacks the candidates that would garner votes from all corners of the country. |
As Health Workers Down Tools: Hope Dips For Ebola Patients’ Recovery GEORGE OKOJIE and ARONKE OLAYOWOLA — Aug 16, 2014 | 2 Comments The hope of recovery by patients currently being treated for the deadly Ebola virus disease (EVD) appears dim, as the doctors and nurses attending to victims at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, yesterday downed tools. Our correspondent learnt that their action was spurred by allegations of negligence levelled against them by the relatives and associates of the nurse who died and other Ebola patients in the hospital. The relatives and associates of the female doctor and other health workers who contracted the EVD from the late Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, had at a media briefing on Thursday in Lagos accused the federal and state governments of neglecting patients. Reacting to the development, Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola said he had appealed to the health workers on the need to go back to work, describing the reports as “disheartening”. The governor, who also cautioned the media against sensationalising reports on Ebola, noted that it could cause serious panic amongst residents. “The report reaching me about two hours ago was that some of the health workers at the centre felt unappreciated and they decided to stop work because of the media reports that they were not working effectively to save the lives of the victims. “We do not need that at the moment. While we sympathise with the victims, the health workers are doing their best to care for the victims. “My appeal to the people is that more health workers should sign up, and from what I was told by experts even if one is the best physician in the world, the person cannot enter the isolation ward. He or she has to be trained in how to kit up and how to get out of the centre, and the training takes between five and seven days to achieve,” the governor said. He added that he appreciates what the media has been doing to help the government sensitise the public about the risks of and the precautions against the Ebola virus and the necessary developments against the outbreak of the virus in the country. He said that because the virus is new in the country, the media must be very circumspect in how it publishes and publicises comments on the matter. The governor explained: “At the moment, I am only able to speak about this because I receive a daily briefing from our team and, at the beginning of each day, I act on what they tell me. “We sympathise with the victims who were affected by the virus. We understand the trauma and concern the family members are going through. But when all of that is taken into account, it is not true that that we are not taking care of the patients. “The reality is that this is a difficult time; we are gaining capacity daily. This is not what we expected and it is not what we planned for, and getting people who are sufficiently knowledgeable and skilful to go into the isolation centre is quite challenging. It is a matter of monumental courage for those people who have signed up and we commend them for that. “There is personnel capacity issue of those who can go into the centre and care for the patients, in a way that they will not be infected by the virus. The personally protective equipment (PPE) they use is real so that they are protected. “The issue we have now is that teams are working flat-out and therefore there will be no opportunity to segregate any patients. There will be no such opportunity. “The issue that the patients were not treated and there was no water at the isolation centre — it is not helpful but puts more pressure on the health workers.” On the N1.9 billion intervention funds approved by the federal government to fight Ebola in Nigeria, Fashola said: “I believe that the president has approved some money. At the moment, we are yet to receive any money. What we have done is to work with our resources — the isolation centre and other facilities were done by our personnel working with officials of the federal health agencies in Lagos. “This is not a money issue; at the moment it is a personnel, control, knowledge and system issue. It is only when we have put all these into place that we can now begin to say how much it costs.” We’ve not neglected them – LASG Amid an outcry by relatives and associates of Ebola patients being treated in Lagos that they have been neglected in the face of poor facilities, Lagos State government yesterday said the patients being treated in isolated facilities in Mainland Hospital, Yaba are being given adequate medical attention. The Lagos State commissioner for Health Dr Jide Idris who disclosed this at a press briefing on Friday in Lagos, said the state government has not received a penny from N1.9 billion intervention fund approved by the federal government to fight Ebola in Nigeria. According to him, “This is a collaborative effort between the federal, state government and other foreign partners. As at now, we are yet to receive a penny from the central government. “All the money spent on the health of the Ebola victims were funds released by the state governor, Babatunde Fashola. He released the money immediately the first case was reported and that is the money we have been spending. “Perhaps maybe the federal government will release later. But we are grateful for all the federal government has done-giving us technical support in the fight against the virus, releasing their staffs for contact tracing, case management, operation of the emergency operation centre and the rapid response team.” Idris, who was flanked by the state commissioner for Special Duties, Dr Wale Ahmed, his Information and Strategy counterpart Aderemi Ibirogba and special adviser to Lagos State governor on Media, Hakeem Bello, argued that treatment of Ebola patients is different from that of other ailments. He said,” To give the confirmed Ebola cases a chance to live, they have to be properly managed. Our major challenge in this regard is personnel with requisite expertise, hence our call for volunteers. “We require experts in different medical fields, including critical care and infectious diseases and these still need to be trained using the World Health Organisation (WHO) protocol which may require up to five days of committed training before such experts can apply their skills safely without risk to themselves. Our international experts are currently providing this training on site.” Debunking claims that the federal and state governments were not serious about the fight against Ebola Virus Disease, he said,” Contrary to the rumour currently in circulation that facility at the infection control centre has no basic amenities, it has a 40 bed- complex with male and female wards for confirmed cases; eight bed isolation wards upgraded to suspected cases, backed up by two emergency tents to hold additional 24 suspected cases. “Dedicated borehole; dedicated 60 KVA generator backed –up by a 250 KVA unit for the entire; involvement of Lagos State Waste Management Authority(LAWMA); two 5000 litre septic tanks one each for urine and faeces, decontaminated prior to evacuation,” he added. http://leadership.ng/news/381180/health-workers-tools-hope-dips-ebola-patients-recovery |
MOBBDEEP: Hmm, I didn't want to comment before until I saw these posts.Nice one, leave the hypocrites. People just hate to face up to the truth sometimes and I have learned that not all who shout in Jesus name really mean it. A huge percentage of the people in our university relationships Co habit. You already sleep over weekends public hols and every free day between. You already have sex together. Wetin remain to cohabit? Life is not black or white most just areas with shades of grey |
There's really no guarantee on what will give a good marriage. It takes two willing people to tango. That being said I think it depends on the maturity of the couple involved. Living together can be a reminder of what will be when you tie the knot. I think one might lose the excitement of being a newly wedded couple but in its place you would have gone through the teething problems that some early marriages go through. There's no more surprise, you learn quickly that sex life in marriage for instance is far from the occasional hormone filled hook ups you have. If two mature people feel like they are mentally strong enough to handle it or they already almost spend a lot of time together then why not? |
Now am not going to say we know exactly how they are being cared for but here are some facts 1. Treating ebola patients is not all about money. Nigerian health care professionals are afraid, this disease does not need advanced medical set up. What is lacking the most is compassion, as for those complaining they should don their biohazard suit and go to work. 2. How many Nigerian organizations and all the individuals complaining on this thread have donated even hand glove to help fight the cause if we think the money has not been getting to the patients. There is a problem in this country with sharing money and we all have the herd mentality that money has to be shared for anything to be effective damn you Nigerians.3. For all those whining how about you do something for once ! I. Buy a protection suit take it there yourself and donate it that's a sample below http://www.amazon.com/Kimberly-Clark-KleenGuard-Microporous-Bloodborne-Protection/dp/B0085XU8MO/ref=as_sl_pc_ss_til?tag=uf099-20&linkCode=w01&linkId=JBRG6DKWFKMKTHM7&creativeASIN=B0085XU8MO I I. Buy rain boots hand gloves and go there to give them yourself. Iii. Just do something! ![]() |

Twenty-one persons are suspected to have contracted the Ebola Virus Disease and are under surveillance in Enugu State, South east Nigeria. After a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, told reporters that one of the nurses, who had contact with the index patient, late Patrick Sawyer, had traveled to Enugu State contrary to instructions and had had contact with the 21 persons. According to Mr Maku, 198 Nigerians have been traced to have contacted the virus. While 177 are in Lagos, 21 persons in Enugu are being watched. The FEC devoted this week’s meeting to the efforts being made to combat the Ebola Virus which entered Nigeria some 23 days ago and had been declared a National Emergency. At the meeting, the Minister of Health, Dr Onyebuchi Chukwu, told the council that Nigerians had been on the alert even before late Sawyer entered Lagos with the virus. He told reporters that he was in touch with all the Commissioners for Health and that the Governors of the 36 states and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory had been called for a meeting with the President, an indication that the government was taking the case serious. He said a committee had been set up to handle the claims by many Nigerians that they have a cure for the ailment and called on Nigerians not to panic, as the government was in touch with the rest of the world on the possible cure for the disease. The Nigerian government had requested for an untested drug, Zmapp, believed to be efficient in the treatment of Ebola virus from the United States but had not gotten any concrete response. On Tuesday, the World Health Organization supported the use of untested drugs for the treatment of the disease, which the Nigerian government said its outbreak was a National Emergency. As part of efforts to contain the disease, which had claimed three lives in Lagos State, President Goodluck Jonathan had set up an intervention plan with 1.9 billion Naira approved for the control of the disease. The Federal Government had urged those who had primary contact with the index patient to report themselves so that they could be quarantined. http://www.channelstv.com/2014/08/13/fg-says-21-suspected-cases-of-ebola-reported-in-enugu/ |
