Marriage is for a purpose. Your purposeful partner will hit your spirit through God when you see him or her. Mind you, we all have our diverse gift in the body of Christ which the Spirit can open or quicken our eyes of understanding to the scripture.
1Cor. 12 will do a lot of help here.

And it is one with the gift of the Spirit that bears fruits. For the gift is like a branch that bears forth fruits.

So beloved, your question is like asking, between mango tree branch(gift) and mango(fruit) which would you Love.

Parable: an earthly story with heavenly meaning.

The verse explains that judgement will be based on the ministry or talent or gift which God has impressed in you before you were born for His kingdom purpose. So in the context of that verse God, the King shall send them to where Satan and the children of disobedience will be. Let me stop here.

THE SCHOOL CALLED MARRIAGE
Marriage is the only school where you get the Certificate before you start.
It's also a school where you will never graduate.
It's a school without a break or a free period.
It's a school where no one is allowed to drop out.
It's a school you will have to attend every day of your life.
It's a school where there is no sick leave or holidays.
It's a school founded by God:
1.On the foundation of love.
2.The walls are made of trust.
3.The door is made of acceptance.
4.The windows are made of understanding.
5.The furniture is made of blessings.
6.The roof ia made of faith.
Be reminded that you are just a student not the principal.
God is the only Principal.
Even in times of storms, don't be unwise and run outside.
Keep in mind that, this school is the safest place to be.
Never go to sleep before completing your assignments for the day.
Never forget the C-word...Communicate.
Communicate to your classmate and to the Principal; moreover communicate regularly and intimately with them.
If you find out something in your classmate (spouse) that you do not appreciate,
remember your classmate is also just a student, not a graduate; God has not finished with him/her yet. So take it as a challenge and work on it together.
Do not forget to study the Holy Book (the main textbook of this school).
Start each day with a sacred assembly and end it the same way. Sometimes you will feel like not attending classes, yet you have to.
When tempted to quit, find courage and continue.
Some tests and exams may be tough but remember the Principal knows how much you can bear and yet it's a school better than any other.
It's one of the best schools on earth; joy, peace and happiness accompany each lesson of the day.
Different subjects are offered in this school, yet love is the major subject.
After all the years of theorising about it, now you have a chance to practise it.
To be loved is a good thing, but to love is the greatest privilege of them all.
Marriage is a place of love, so love your spouse. More grace from God.

I have had to address privately questions bordering on the NIV and the name of Jesus. Some of the inquiries are through my inbox while others are direct.

I didn't consider it worth troubling myself about but since the faith of many is being rattled I'm obligated to talk. FIRST, let me say that I've used NIV all my life and find it very good. I also find it worrisome that those calling it names demand that it be torn or burnt. NEXT, let me say that the Bible does not warn only against removals from but also additions to the Bible. Having said that, the critics have not proven to us that the KJV with which they judge the other versions is not an addition to the word of God.

THIRD, the criticisms assume the KJV is the original bible. That is not so. The KJV like the NIV and other versions, is a translation from the original manuscripts which are in Hebrew, Greek and aramaic. To verify the accuracy of any version therefore will require comparison with the original manuscripts and not other versions. To do this one has to not only be versatile with the original languages but also the science of translation known as TEXTUAL CRITICISM.

I happen to be introduced to elementary knowledge of textual criticism while doing a masters degree in theology at the evangel theological seminary Jos. I can tell you that I've not yet found any reason to rate the NIV anything less than the best scholarly work on translation of the bible.

I know that ZONDERVAN is nothing but a printing press. It is not responsible for the translation of the Bible. It also has published many other sound Christian literature as well as many ungodly ones. NIV was a work done in 1964/65. From the claims of the critics Zondervan was bought over in 1998, 34yrs later. How can that nullify the accuracy of the NIV. AGAIN, I observed that all the "missing" texts are footnoted by the translators.

FINALLY, I have been around for sometime in this race. This is not the first time it's coming. it wont be the last. I think that this is an attack on the Bible. The devil does not want the Bible in the people's language. He fought it at the beginning killing Tyndale and co for translating the bible from the vulgate (the Latin version by Jerome) to English. NIV employed the principle of dynamic equivalent in translation which simplifies the language without losing the force of the truth as in the paraphrases. The KJV is the product of literal translation and is limited to the Masoretic texts of the Bible.

My take is own as versions as you can afford and use the one that best guarantees the understanding of the truths therein.

If really you are spiritually dogged, you will feel the difference in your spiritman when studying KJV & others. Studying KJV has helped to developed my spiritman more than the ten different versions of Bibles in my library.

Hmmmm...beloved Op, sometimes ago i've suffered spiritual injuries & scares from doctrines taught by men..Whereby they hold the truth in unrighteousness & pour out fear...But I bless & thank the Lord for He has opened my eyes by grace through His Word led by the Holy Spirit.

Beloved Op, sorry I have to say that your pastor depicted that which is written in Matt.23:23 if you set your bible without bias..It's good you pay your tithe(best done in secret)..And the act of giving (whether tithe,offering,seed sowing,e.t.c) is done out of love & faith not by anxiety & fear because it will yield nothing if done out of fear.
There are weightier matters to focus on like soul winning not capitalizing on tithe paying.

Lord Jesus Christ never came to abolish the law or the old testament but for fufillment.
If you set your bible without bias you'll know that my Lord Jesus Christ was concealed in the old testament & revealed in the new testament.

HAVE YOU COUNTED THE
COST?
Do you know what it cost God to
send His only Son Jesus Christ to
die a sinner’s death on a cross
for the sin of the world? Do you
know how much the Lord Jesus
really suffered at Calvary? With
confidence I can state that the
suffering of the Lord is not what
you are imagining. In fact, just
last year, when I was coming
from a revival program in Kwara
state, my spiritual eyes were
opened to behold the Lord’s
agony at Cavalry. Words cannot
express the shame, the torment,
the agony, and the pain that the
Lord bore. In fact, the crucifixion
in the film “Passion of the Christ”
is a cakewalk in comparison to
the real thing. Yet, the Lord
counted the costs of Calvary and
willingly bore all of its sufferings
just to offer you a free gift of
salvation. But on the other hand,
have you counted the cost? Have
you thought about how much
the Lord paid for you? In fact, do
you even know why God the
Father paid such a high price? If
you don’t know, I’ll tell you. It is
because God loves you and does
not want you to perish (John
3:16 & 2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, He
sent His Son, Jesus Christ, so that
you can choose Him and not
perish, but have abundant life
(John 10:10).
But, if you have not made Jesus
your Lord, I want you to think
about the following questions.
Who will be able to deliver you
on the Judgment Day when you
will stand to give an account of
your works? Is it the same Jesus
that you have made your enemy
on earth by refusing to correct
your evil ways? So since you have
made the Lord your enemy, who
is able to deliver you on that
great Day of Judgment? Know
that the Lord Jesus will not pity
you on this day, but, as you have
denied Him on earth, so will He
deny you in Heaven (Luke 9:26).
Therefore, I sincerely warn you
not to play games with your
Maker. But, I know some of you
say, “I’m not playing, but I’m
serious about the Lord”. But is
this true? If you are really serious
about the Lord then why do you
rebel against His will? You
continue to curse and fight
people on Facebook. Yet, you say
that you are “serious”? You
continue to wear miniskirts and
make up. Yet, you say that you
are “serious”? You continue to
listen to rap music and watch
pornography. Yet, you say that
you are “serious”? I tell you the
truth, you are not serious, but
are toying with your soul and
playing games with your Maker.
But, God isn’t playing with you.
So do not mistake God’s patience
for His approval, because God
never approves sin. He is not
blind or approving your sinful
lifestyle, but He is being patient
with you in hopes that you will
repent. Do you dare to believe
that God will overlook how you
have trampled upon His Son
sacrifice during your time on
earth? Don’t fool yourself and
damn your soul to an eternity of
fire (Mark 8:36). He will not
overlook your sin.
I tell you, the Day of Judgement
will be more terrible than you
think, and what will your time on
earth amount to if you are not
permitted into the gate of
Heaven, but are cast away? Has
the devil darken your
understanding so bad that you
no longer think of these things
(Eph. 4:18)? Do you not realize
that you will not spend eternity
here on earth? But, you are only
on earth for a little while, and
then you will die and live forever
in eternity in either Heaven or
Hell. An eternity in Heaven or Hell
is the reality of all men, not a
fictional story. In fact, when you
slip into eternity, you may not
even know it, just like when you
sleep you do not remember
laying down to sleep. Likewise,
when men die, some think that
they are dreaming, but from
Heaven a voice shouts, “Know
that this is not a dream. None of
you are dreaming, but what you
are seeing here is real. You have
just passed away from earth, and
now it is time to give an account
for your works on earth. The
Book of Life must be checked for
your name, and whoever’s name
is not written in the Book of Life
shall be cast into the pit of Hell”.
After this announcement,
judgment will start, because after
death, men face judgement
(Hebs. 9:27).
Nevertheless, at this time, some
will begin to seriously doubt the
situation and continue to believe
that they are dreaming in saying,
“No. This can’t be true. This is
just a dream, because I just ate
with my wife. In fact, while
eating we made plans for
tomorrow. How can I be dead? I
wasn’t even sick. So this has to
be a dream”. Then some will
recall, “I ate with my husband
earlier today and we dine
together at the table. Then even
laid down to sleep beside him.
But now, I’m here. This can’t be
real,” or it will be said, “I just
came from the office and
decided to take a little rest before
returning. In fact, I brought
documents from the office to
check on. But now I’m supposed
to believe that I have just died?
This has to be a dream”. Many
souls stand doubting while
awaiting judgment, but when
they are cast into Hell, the reality
sets in. They are not dreaming.
Their time on earth is up. They
have died and went to Hell. Hell
has no exits. They can never go
back to earth.
Now, what will you say on this
day when you have to give an
account of your works? Have you
gone so far in sin that you no
longer think of this day? Are you
just wasting your life building
mansions? Are you living to buy
the latest Jeep? But, have not
thought about the day when you
take your final breath and where
you will spend in eternity?
Although you are spending your
life to acquire earthly things,
know that one day you will cross
the bridge to another world
where none of your possession
will go with you. Not even your
precious money. In fact, none of
your fame, worldly success, or
earthly authority will be able to
help you when it’s your time to
give an account. Instead, you will
see that in your stubbornness
you did not count the costs.
However, Heaven has. The books
will be open which records all
the sins that have damned your
soul. Then God will tell you,
“Depart from Me”!
Refusing to give your life to
Christ is the worst harm that you
can do to your soul. So please do
not think of this message as just
another story or a fear tacit,
because it is not; an eternity in
Heaven or Hell is a reality. So do
not damn your soul for a
moment of joy, do not damn
your soul for a moment of
pleasure and do not allow God’s
patience to expire and meet
death as a sinner. For if you die
in as a sinner, you will surely
shout from the pit of Hell, “If I
had known then what I knew
now, I would have repented and
followed Christ”! Therefore, I
urge you to avoid Hell and
convert your ways by giving your
life to the Lord Jesus Christ (John
3:3).
Converting it means that all of the
alcohol in your house, all of your
charms, all of the stolen property
in your room, all of the malice
and bitterness that is hidden in
your heart, all of the property of
Jezebel that you are fashioning
yourself with, must be thrown
away! These things all belong to
the devil. If you do not throw
them away, you will ultimately be
thrown into a lake of fire with
the devil. So convert by ridding
yourself of the devil’s property.
Likewise, if you are using your
body as an instrument for sin by
committing adultery, prostitution,
fornication, masturbation,
partaking in lesbianism and
homosexuality ( including oral
and anal sex), you must convert
your ways by renouncing this
sexual immorality, and turning
from it to holiness. Understand
that by committing sin, you are
chained to the devil, and because
you are chained to him, your
heart will be harden towards the
Lord Jesus’ invitation for
salvation. When in fact salvation
is what you need, because you
are hanging over the pit of Hell
and can fall at any moment.
So again, I urge you to give your
life to the Lord Jesus Christ by
repenting from your sins. Repent
means to turn away from sin. So
turn away from lying. Turn away
from reality TV shows and
gossip. Turn away from
bitterness. Turn away from
sexual immorality. Turn away
from whatever sin it is that you
are committing. And in turning
away from sin, you will be able to
turn to the Lord Jesus and live
holy. So renounce your sins with
your mouth and confess the Lord
Jesus Christ as your savior, then
as you move forward in life, let
your heart confirm your renewed
mind in choosing to avoid sin.
Choose not to hang out with the
same old friends. Choose to tell
the truth even when it hurts.
Choose to forgive even while still
hurting. Choose to walk away
from fights even though you may
have a thousand reasons to fight.
And in doing so you will have
changed your mind, which
changes your heart, that changes
your character, which alters your
behavior, thus your lifestyle. Then
you will be saved and pleasing to
God the Father.
If you are ready to give your life
to Christ, please pray this prayer
of salvation aloud:
Father, I come to you and ask
You to forgive me of my sins in
the name of Jesus. (Name all of
the sins that you have not
repented from, or confessed
before, even those from
childhood.) I ask that you wash
me in the Blood of Jesus and
make me clean. Right now, I am
ready to become Your child.
Please write my name in the
Book of Life and give me power
to sin no more. I believe and I
receive that I am a child of God in
the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray.

A preacher was driving home
one night with his wife and two
daughters in the car. It was
raining and dark and because of
the intensity of the rain he could
hardly see past his headlights. On
the way he had to drive over a
huge bridge.
There were signs posted all
along the bridge that said "DO
NOT PICK HITCH-HIKERS." There
was an institute for the criminally
insane near the base of the
bridge and sometimes people
would escape from it and try to
hitch a ride.
On this particular night, as he
turned his car on to the bridge,
he had to drive exceptionally
slow because he could hardly see
the road. Somewhere near the
top of the bridge a man suddenly
appeared in the headlights. He
was soaked, standing in the
middle of the road with his shirt
off frantically waving it over his
head and screaming.
This preacher's wife began to
say, "Oh please don't stop, try to
drive around him!" But the man
was unavoidable and there was
nowhere for the car to go to
miss him. So he had to stop the
car and as soon as he did, the
man slapped his hand down on
the hood of the car and was
screaming at the top of his lungs.
The preacher looked over at his
wife and said to lock the door
after him and not to unlock it
until he returned. His family was
now crying and pleading with
him not to get out of the car. He
opened the door and stepped
outside...He was immediately
soaked from the rain. As he
approached the front of the car
to grab the man, all of a sudden
he could make out what the man
was screaming, "THE BRIDGE IS
OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! A BUS
LOAD OF KIDS JUST WENT OVER!"
As these words registered in the
pastor's mind, he looked back in
the car at his wife and two
daughters. He wrapped his arm
around the man and wept in
gratitude.
The preacher stood there with
the man for the next half-hour in
the middle of the road, waving
his jacket above his head
screaming."THE BRIDGE IS OUT!
THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"
For a lost and a dying world, "THE
BRIDGE IS OUT!"
For a people heading to a Christless Eternity,"THE BRIDGE IS OUT!"
where are the men and the
women who will stand in the
middle of the road and forbid
people to perish ?

A young man working in the
army was constantly humiliated
because he believed in God. One
