Awka larger than that. New York City is 469 sq miles, that means Awka is larger than New York. The GDP of New York State is more than twice the whole of Africa.

Now Lagos alone is thirty times wealthier than Oyo state alone and 5 times more populated. If Awka is just a street in Ibadan, Lagos may be just an avenue to Ibadan. You must learn that it is not by land size but by population and infrastructure. After Lagos, Anambra is the most urbanized state in Nigeria. I challenge you to compare the population of Anambra and oyo and see the difference. I used to tell people that Nigeria may be more than 80 times the size of Israel but Israel GDP is bigger than Nigeria, and also the gross manufacturing output of Israel which may be the size of Ibadan, is bigger than the whole of Africa put together. Anambra has more banks than the big for nothing Oyo. From the statistics from Jamb both in Medicine, Law, Engineering, Computer etc, Oyo is no where near the Anambra you are talking about. Is not in land size but in wealth.

Oyo state IGR at N62.2b is greater than Ebonyi at N12.4b+ Abia at N20.1b+ Enugu at N28.7b combined!

Oyo State IGR = N62.2b

One implication of the above is that,on the basis of economic viability and self-sufficiency, the South East should not have more than two states because, as seen above, almost all the states in the South East perform poorly in revenue generation. Anambra = 4,844 square kilometers.

I had the same mentality some years back, but I was taught a very good lesson by the Most High God. I was made to understand that all I had wasn't mine or for me alone in the true sense of it. I was just chosen as a custodian! I was acquiring choice properties, buying cars, spending huge money on vacations, and I had arrays of "clean and sophisticated girls" at my beck and call!

I was on top of the world, but right there before me were a whole lot of people who couldn't afford three square meals a day! Some needed just a fraction of the amount I used to buy air tickets to overcome serious medical challenges, but I was quite oblivious to it all! Then the lesson came; I lost it all except my life! I thank God today, and I know better!

People like Burna Boy and others who are today having this "on top of the world" feeling should be careful. If anyone thinks this is a "beef" or something, you have no idea what I'm talking about. I love Burna Boy's music a lot, but that won't stop me from saying it or sounding a note of warning when I see stuff like this. My experience won't let me keep quiet, knowing full well the grave repercussions of displaying wealth in the midst of poverty.

There are lots of people out there who need just a token of all this money to get out of their difficult situations - medical challenges, extreme poverty, etc. Let's be careful; we are nothing but mere custodians of whatever wealth God has bestowed upon us.
