Funny enough, your list isn't a bad one. More or less like my list. Only dfference is the "sexiness" cos I don't know exactly what you define as sexiness. Basically for me,averagely endowed front and back, with a good height and just normal weight,is ok. She shouldn't be skinny or fat;just in between. sisisioge: Babe, you went out to look for stutters? Now I know you are weird! Abi you meant those ones that stumble over their words a little? I think those can be sexy... lucky you all the same...you found the one!
@ OP, I haven't been lucky to find the one yet although I have realized over time (going by the people I have dated) that physical attributes can't hold a candle to the innate attributes. One just gets to that point where the list just focuses on: -Fairness in dealings -Fearful of God -Moral uprightness -Intelligence -Family Values -Sexiiiiness(Can't be compromised) -Well put together looks(Yeah...can't deal with shabbiness) -Good education -Respect
Every other good thing that comes with the person is an addendum! In my opinion, if one checks all these on the lists...you are almost there. You have the basic ingredients to start with. Na to begin pray make you get the hots for the person remain and hope its mutual. |

Have you ever tried talking to an unintelligent being? Gosh! It's a painful experience. I can manage that outside but not with someone who I'd be living the rest of my life with. I'll probably almost go gaga. And yes,no one ever marries a perfect person. misspicy: Make that imperfect person perfect for you. We are humans, who can adjust(almost all Nigerians has adjusted to the recession)
Meaning,if the woman you want and have is unintelligent, develop her,if she is not physically appealing,Behind her up,no one is ugly.
No man/woman married the person that actually fits into their idea of a partner. |

Sorry for using the wrong word. Readjusting our expectatons to suit reality,is what I meant to say. Yes,young men and women tend to look for ready made spouses until they get matured and start facing reality. Yes,I missed the opportunities to be serious with my specs way back, but that was cos I was too yyoung to understand certain thngs and the truth is,all youngsters probably have behaved that way. That being said,I don't think my current expectations are too high. Once she's averagely attractive,intelligent,decent/loyal/honest,God fearing, good use of english, and homely,I'm good to go. Joavid: you mean readjusting? I would hate to think am with some who's managing me.
So, I have come to realise that men want ready made women as much as woman want ready made men.
I am very sure you've dated your specs in the past who probably lacked one or two things that could be worked on or managed, but because you felt there-are-many-fishes-in-the-river & time-dey, you let them go.
You don't just wake up one morning on your 35th birthday and start looking for a wife material. Everyone is a work in progress.
Besides women always aim higher and marry up. so I hope you can match the standards you set. |

Family › How Did You Choose Your Partners? by chronique(op): 9:34am On Oct 01, 2016 |
I'm asking the married folks amongst us,this question. It's common knowlege that getting a partner to commit to,isn't the easiest of tasks considering the avalanche of options that usually present themselves. There are several boxes that one has to tick before saying,"this is the man/woman I want". Yes,we usually have a long list of criteria but as we grow older and find that our desires aren't readily available,we tend to start reducing our standards.
Personally,I used to envisage being with an extremely pretty and ggorgeous woman, that super model/beauty queen kind of woman. Reason for this is that to me,the first law of attraction,is what the eyes feed on. And in additin to being extremely pretty,I used to wish the lady in question would be decent,God fearing, loyal,of a good character, christian by religion, and above all, intelligent. I got too used to dating pretty chicks very early in life and I'd thoought it would always contnue like that till I'm ready to settle down. Anyways,as I grew older,I began to come to terms with the reality that finding such a woman, mght just amount to a wild goose chase cos almost every man out there wants the same thing, and of course, finding such a lady might just be impossible. So,I decided to reduce my expectations and focus more on the intellect of the lady, than the looks. But that being said, the looks should also be average(I can't deal with someone not a tad bit attractive). Even at that,it's still not workng. The ones who pick interest in you,do not look attractive enough. The ones you like are either irresponsible, not loyal/honest,too artificial,of a different relgion, not intelligent, not into you, or not serious or sure of what they want. There's also the issue of you guys not being compatible and all of these, affects both sexes(male and female).
I know for sure, that no one gets married to a perfect spouse, and that at the end of the day,we make compromises and as such,I'm not lookng for a perfect being. At some point in life, you do not limit your decisions to your own knowlege and what you think;you open up your mind to learn from others. What I'd love to learn from those who have been able to cross this bridge,is how they did it. Perhaps, some of us can learn a thing or two from it. What are the major attributes you picked out from the lady/man you settled with, and how well are you coping with their weaker parts? If you had to choose all over again, will you guys make same choices? |

I understand how you feel and you're nt the only one who feels such. Personally,I'm beginning to feel some kinda pressure too. Guess the fact that one gets older daily and people always find a way f askng this question, makes us(singles) a lil bit tensed. Sometimes,I do feel like my life is jinxed. seizethaBae: I dont even know where to start or how to explain what my problem is,hopefully i get lucky for the 'problem' to be 'diagnosed'. Im a 27yrs old lady, finished uni very very early and i've been extremely lucky with almost everything in life, but to get a suitor and settle down na palava. Friends/family members keep saying im too choosy or not serious. Honestly,I AM NOT choosy. When the one thing i fast/pray for is for God to link me with the bone of my bone very soon,i even gave up my travelling plans in order to increase my chances of finding a future patner(i know you can meet ur patner anywhere, but na just to shut up pple wey don tink say i no dey serious),a close friend even suggested i pend my 'work-from-home business',look for job so i can be leaving d house, and i got lucky within a month or two of dusting my CV i got a fantastic high paid job with no connection(honestly i've always been so lucky when i ask God for anything but i have no idea why he is delaying this). I just dont know how to explain it,the ones i like doesnt like me and the ones i dont have single feelings for will do anything to wife me. Im not desperate or something,i just want to reach out if im d only one having dis problem. There was even a time i made up my mind to accept an ex proposal even tho i have no single feeling for him,i kept hoping/fasting/praying for a miracle to happen so i can atleast like him(even if its 20%) bcus hes just too PERFECT,but it dint just happen. My type of man doesnt need to be extremely rich, tall, handsome like most ladies dream man.He should just be neat,God fearing and have something upstairs biko (i love intelligent guys).Back to the main reason why i created this post; Married women/mature lady out there, has this ever happen to you? I really envy people that love their patners and they are loved back equally. Married women pls im waiting to hear from you.
And for most people that will think im looking for a rich guy, believe me i once met a guy that was willing to sponsor my M.Sc in UK if i can be his Mrs,but i will never engage in anything that will bring curse on my head.So my problem is not even money.Im so sick and tired |

You actually made sense today. Please try and stay on track by keeping it up. Toks2008: THE SUBMISSIVE WOMAN
Most ladies spend so much time and energy preparing for a wedding ceremony but very unprepared for just one condition responsible for a formidable union called SUBMISSION.
The modern day woman has allowed sophistication as a result of sound education and several other factors to make her see herself as equal to a man hence finds it difficult to be extremely submissive and this is one of the triggering factors for a break up. Being fully submissive to your man is one of the greatest secret to longevity of any romantic affair so Lets see what the Quran and Bible has to say concerning the act of submission from the woman.
Al-Tirmidhi 3272 - "When Allah's Messenger was asked which woman was best he replied, 'The one who pleases (her husband) when he looks at her, obeys him when he gives a command, and does not go against his wishes regarding her person or property by doing anything of which he disapproves'."
Ephesians 5:22-24 :Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
No woman has any business with marriage or any serious romantic affair with a man until she is ready to "submit, honor, respect, reverence her husband to the maximum level just as she will respect the lord.Show me a submissive woman and I will show you a peaceful and lasting union.Being submissive does not mean you should obey your man blindly or go against the commandments of GOD neither does it make you a zombie or a mindless person but it means being meek, humble and serene even when you disagree with your man as many times as possible.Believe it or not,no matter how many relationships you get involved in,you will always have issues if you don't learn how to submit yourself to your man.
And as the man,for whatever reason you choose to marry that lady, if you are not ready to love that woman with her imperfections and without exception with behavior worthy of respect and esteem, always seeking the best for her with an attitude of loving-kindness all the days of your life please don't propose marriage to her.
GOD commands the man to love the wife and the wife to submit to the husband. Refusal to do this is rebellion against GOD himself.By loving your wife you are honoring GOD and not doing your wife a favor and by submitting to your husband, you are demonstrating an act of obedience to GOD and not to your husband.
I hope this makes sense. |

My case isn't as pathetic as your stupid self who wants to put money in hands of people who do not have any resgistered office address anywhere in the world, and who expects to be paid 30% profit for helping somebody, when the scheme doesn't have any proof as to how they earn the profits they make. Car Talk › Re: Share Your First Car Bashing Experience. by chronique(m): 7:34am On Sep 26, 2016 |
I learnt how to drive in 2000 and I haven't had any road accident from then,up till now. The little I've had,was just small bumper kissing on 2 occassions and both were at night, and due to distraction of using my phone. First experience was at night in traffic. I picked up my phone and was reading something funny on social media, and forgot myself completely. Didn't realize I had taken my legs off the break and next thing I heard was "gba"!(I had hit the danfo in front of me). I quickly put the car in park, and came out to see whatever damage I'd done to my M.Benz GL450 4matic. Lo and behold, nothing happend my car or the danfo.
Second experience was still in traffic and at night. I was driving a mazda5 at night and saw "for sale" on an eod that was on the other lane, and I was tryng to get his digits and was typing while driving slowly. I couldn't hear him clearly and got dstracted and kissed the bumper of the mdx in my front(just a mild contact). Came down and saw there was no damage to any of both cars. Those 2 experiences taught me never to use phones while driving so as not to get distracted.
The only time I damaged a car(lightly),was at the office. I was reversing within the lot and the music in the car was very loud. Can't remember how it happened,I just noticed I didn't look at my back, and didn't pay attention to the warning from the parking sensors alerting me on the dashboard. I had hit the chrysler parked behind me. The fender got damaged but nothing happened to the benz. I felt really embarrassed that I could damage a car within that small perimeter.
I have never really had and major bash on the road cos I drive very carefully cos I don't like seeing scratches on my cars. I avoid danfo drivers as much as possible. |

I understand. I used to hunt for very pretty chicks and even my elder sister at that time would be like,"guy,u dey try". Old gee once came back from work and met me with one pretty chck at home and all he could do,was to smile and walk away, and he kept referencing her... I used to yab my friends for dating "local and ugly chicks" and they knew if the girl isn't cute,I won't go near her. I went as far as puncng above my weight but now that I'm a lot more matured and have had experiences,I now know that I musn't chase miss world. Just go with someone with good characters, intellect, fear of God,honest and loyal, and who doesn't look bad facially and bodily. Now I know why some cute men don't have very pretty wives. If you want a peaceful home and near perfect marriage,be ready to compromise certain things. Toks2008: Talking about compromise I really tried to but I just can't compromise some things.
There are some sexual features I just can't imagine my wife not having cos if I marry her then I may cheat on her when I see a lady that has those features.
I am a one lady man and as long as I have a lady who is sexually pleasing to my eyes, an excellent cook and faithful to me then she will beg me to cheat on her. |

Not at all. At least,I earn enough to take care of myself and at least 5 adults monthly. It's not always about money but sometimes, about finding the right person. At a point, most of the girls I ended up liking and falling in love wth, ended up being of a different religion and since I broke up with my fiancee in 2011/12 over religious issues despite loving her dearly,I made a promise not to ever date outside my religion. And of course, the process of finding and falling in love with someone that matches your desire/taste,isn't as simple as abc. You have to search, study, observe and evaluate such a person, before taking the step to date. It doesn't happen overnight. Cutehector: chronique is this applicable in ur situation? |
