Hello Guys,

I opened this thread for those that want to travel to The Gambia, do business (including import and export), or just travel for vacation/tour.

The Gambia is a small West African Country with roughly around 2million people in population. With virtually no natural resources, The country depends 'almost' on Tourists, Tasks, and Foreign intervention to survive.

Gambia enjoys almost 24 hours electricity in most of the towns, clean steady/healthy tap running water, with lots of Foreigners in the Country.

I happened to tour many sites in the country, they have beautiful hotels. Most of their hotels are beach hotels like... Kairaba Beach Hotel, Senegambia beach Hotel, Kalimba Beach hotel etc.

There are many Nigerians there, and Nigerians export items like bitter kola, alcohols, bitter drinks, food items, etc... On return, they import Fish from there. The Gambia has fish, and they're cheap there

Many Nigerian students are there as well schooling and working.

Let me stop here. In case anyone want to go for vacation or want to learn something from The Gambia, drop your questions and I'll answer here. Please, all questions and answers will be here on this thread, not PM.

I think it will be better to convert to CFA, because naira is higher than cefa, and thus, I figured that I will even make more money converting to cefa. With my calculations. I'm going to Cotonou tomorrow.

No. They can operate.

They are legally established in Nigeria as they are registered with CAC, have offices/branches here, and are regulated by the CBN.

The financial institutions CBN is stopping from offering services to Nigerias are those offering 'online' financial/banking services from abroad. They have no office here and are not registered with the CAC.

It is a perfectly sensible policy from the CBN.

Stick to your audit job, allow jobless and under employed people who are able to escape Nigeria earn. It is only a starting point and so much income growth can be made from there.

People who are earning 120k a month for jobs that give them time for nothing else can quickly move to earning over 3m monthly. How much is tax? Let's say 50% and split income to 1.5m. It might not make sense to you but it does to a lot of people.

I have had this experience twice,
When we were packing to ur own house, the drive of the truck told us to put a coin in the mortar.
I ones bought a mortar and pestle in Kano one time, on transporting it to Benin, the drive of the bus said I should look for a coin & put in side but I had no coin on me so, he told me to find a nail to put into the mortar, I nailed it inside in such a way it will not fall off & I remember putting money inside the mortar as well.
I asked why ?
