Wrong, wrong, and wrong. The Ewe are not yoruba in any way. Shymexx, its good that you want to know more about your people but claiming people to be yoruba who are not is not the way to go about it. Yes, the Ewe are originally from Nigeria, it is a known fact, but, they are not yoruba and never have been. They were put under oyo rule then eventually pushed out. They fled towards ghana, which was their very last stop. You should read and learn about the group before you go claiming them. It's like Igbos claiming Ibibios to be Igbos because the Aros pushed them out of their land and possessed it. |
Bravo! |
frikuenci: You are a fool. A r*etar*ded idio*t for that matter. I doubt if u are a true Yoruba man as u claim. The group u r fighting with words and clicks see no need for the rancour.and yet u r still talking. What's ur "P".Am a yoruba and I can't watch u escalate this if at all u r posting these as a joke. ![]() |
oduasolja: ahhhahaha. so igbos are impervious to bullets.Dude, its like you're replying to the wrong post. Get it together. Ain't nobody trying to fight nobody or take anybody's land, a least we Igbos aren't. |
Chest-beating by the commenters. I would get tribalistic but I'll hold my tongue. But for the yorubas, now do you really think your OPC wont lose have its members if they try to attack Igbos in lagos not to talk of if they go in alliance with hausas? If you think yes, obviously you don't live in lagos or have been there. I laugh at your chest-beating. You are a joke. Should I reposed a story that was removed by the Mod of what happened when 1 of your OPC agberos killed an Igbo guy? The outcome wasn't too nice for them . Una got too much mouth. The Igbos are not your enemies and do not hate you people no need to start something that will consume you for nothing. To my Igbo brothers, those of you people living in lagos or anywhere in the yoruba-speaking parts of the sw should shut your damn mouths. The OPC is a source of security for you when it comes to the bokos, even though i have no idea how attacking hausas,is going to stop invisible bombs lol. Are you going to go back to east and ask MASSOB for security, lol? Get real. All they can do is shout their Biafra nonsense, get fried by the army and police, then another group comes out and do the same thing. To sum it up, yorubas, get off Igbo nuts and Igbos, mind your damn business this is between the bokos and yorubas. |
Naijagunner83: From the traffic on Naira land, you should understand that the lines are jammed because a lot of people are trying. This happens everywhereIt definitely does not happen at all,not with phones. They either pick your call or not. It has nothing to do with a "jam". |
So im guessing that they are purposely not allowing d calls go through so that Jonathan wont have to answer REAL questions, lol. First he runs from a presidential debate now this. smh |
shymmex: Where did I label Idoma as Yoruboid?Igala is not classified as Yoruboid the language is classified as Yoruboid but by only some authors. About the video, was just a question. |
@shymmex, This video is Idoma people. Would you label this language yoruboid as well? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpICtQw6fks&feature=relmfu You got a lot to learn and also to learn which groups came from which. |
@shymexx, you see what you've gotten yourself into with making false claims? Now an Igala has come to tell you off. I told you and the rest of your brothers that Igala are not yoruba and have a totally different culture. Next time you all will listen. The Igala language was classified as yoruboid, the people were not. There are only 300 similar or exact words Igala share with yorubas. Believe, me if they talk you will not be able to understand them,at all. It is not even a dialect to yoruba. In fact are the yoruba even neighbors to the Igala?lol. . .I'll let you figure that out or do some research. |
alj harem: My brother, I have told you the truth. It is upto you to accept it or run away from it as usual as I stated earlier. Real life I can say 90 % of Yoruba tribalist here would not even be tribalistic but Nairaland turn them to what they are.You don't get it. We DO NOT CARE about how you carry your lives along as long as it doesn't concern us it is fine. You yorubas seem to not think the same way and its a damn shame! Every time you people worry yourselves about Igbo and whats sad is that its your parents that are the causes of it. We have no problems with yorubas and it is evident. This is why we are described as egalitarian. It is in our nature. What beats me is the amount of envy and jealousy you people have for Igbo lol. Its so ridiculous dude that if others(non-nigerians) were to see it they'd they you people were the most insecure people on earth. I seriously think it is a problem that you all have to deal with as a people. We don't have to see you all as an ally just do your own thing and we do ours. |
T9ksy: Probably 'cause you guys are just plain irritants! At bolded. Can't wait. |
alj harem: *Yawn*You are wrong. Igbos go about their business. We don't bother or care about yorubas or what you do with yourselves. That's just the truth. We all know that. It's just when you people stick your noses into our business or do some coward stff to us then thats when we jump at you. It is not the same for yoruba. Even here in the diaspora, you people can not live without letting Igbo come out of your mouths. It's pathetic really because you all do it,lol. The average Igbo family don't every worry about you all that's why it amazes me how yoruba families ALWAYS got something to say about Ndi Igbo. I'm like man-up and let the insecurities go and mind your own businesses.smh. |
Have they ever thought of editing before publishing? |
That was not written by the Niger Delta Congress. |
Funny dude, so your people occupied others land before now "your" land is being occupied and your complaining. Go sit down.lol |
shymmex: Take your anger to the linguistic professors who classified them Yoruboid - and the Igala association..They never classified them as yoruboid but the language because, like i said, liguistics in which only about 300 similar or exact words are shared between the two. About the quote in which it says igala have a common origin with the yoruba, that is no lie about that, but, that same common origin extends to the Idoma,Igbo, edo, egbira as well. the area is the melting pot at which those ethnic groups came from then separated. Also, abt the link you posted, it is also stated that it is believed that the Igbo came from the igbo and yorubas are the Igala that kept going west but you know what that means then? YOU ARE IGBO lol.... Don't pick and choose. Igala are not yoruba. You should study them and their culture and language. No need to claim them. |
dayokanu: Where were the men of Arochukwu when Adekunle came to town?Haba, as usual hopping on adekule's sack. Even Obasanjo himself said adekule was replaced because he could lead his division to a successful fight against the Biafrans. Does Adaka Boro ring a bell? Yea, he was the guy who belittle adekule because he was unsuccessful against the Biafrans. Apart from his talk of "shooting any igbo in sight" what did he do? Nurrin . That's right, he was all talk like the rest of his yoruba brothers.lol |
shymmex: Bwhahahaha!!You got a lot to learn man. Igala is completely different from yoruba. The highest Igala share is 300 similar or exact words with yoruba. You should do your research before you come out talking like you know something you don't. Blood, and history-wise, lets not talk about the words we share, Igala are closer to the Igbo that's a fact that you can read in a book and google. But with that being said, they are not Igbo by any means. Those who are seen by the Igala to be close in brotherhood are the Idoma. You have a lot of reading to do. |
"but wounded". . . ROTFLMAO! IT's always something |
Beaf: You are a retar'ded, low self-esteemed fool. You can buy them freely in both the UK, the US and across Europe.Like I said before, you may see your cassava "biscuit" at an international store, if you are LUCKY, but, they're definitely VERY RARE in the U.S. You don't live in the U.S., Omokri, speak what you know. I'm here speaking about the U.S. and this little lady post something that is sold in the U.K.. Come see a dumbass calling someone id!ot, Lol ![]() |
Jonathan has 10 days left to end boko haram like he said he would do, Jonathan has 10 days left to end boko haram like he said he would do, |
Bomb a village? i think not! |
The man can't even properly rule in his own country. Onyiberibe. ![]() |
Beaf: I pity you, bro. What Presidents are inventing things?By cassava biscuits on the streets in U.S. lol. Now I know u are a damn liar. Look, you can possibily buy cassava "biscuit" in an international market, if you are lucky. It is definitely rare for such thing here. The problem with the whole cassava bread thingy is that he tried to require(force) every bread manufacturer in Nigeria to add cassava as an ingredient. That was such an retarded move. Like, who does that? Lol |
Beaf: We are now used to the usual id!ots manufacturing "delegates" each time GEJ travels.Maybe dumbasses like yourself can provide the actual numbers to counter the so-called "manufactured delegates" claimed by the "id!ots". |
arole_odua: Okoro, warri is yorubaland, lay claim to it and see if asaba won't be wiped off the map. Ask Ijaws and urhobo what happened to them the last time. stay in your asaba omo nna.Yoruba, no parts of warri is yoruba land. If you, like go there and call anybody yoruba they will surely break bottle on your head, mumu. Like i said before, NO PARTS OF WARRI BELONG TO YORUBA AND IT NEVER HAS. Maybe you can tell me and us all what happened to the Urhobo and Ijaw. Also, let us know what yoruba has to do with this who thing. |
SMH. What a dufus. I am not surprise. Hopefull he can get Dana Air treatment on his way flying back. |
arole_odua: Warri is yorubaland and Itsekiri will always be yoruba, get it into your ibo-nian skull. When the country breaks, Warri will answer its real name and Benin know where their yoruba brothers are.Warri is not itsekiri land, dummy. You are not from delta state and know nothing about it. Stay over there in your SW and dont bring your nonsense to my state. Neither is itsekiri yoruba or say they want anything to do with them. |
And Warri, which is majority Urhobo land and has nothing to do with yorubas is being claim by Aokola for what? WOw!!!! Talk about land grabbing! |
If you are going to lie about a story at least make it believable. So my question would simply be how to u come down from North africa, skip over every northsern state, land in the SE just to go back up north to fight in kaduna? How do they know its "ghaddafi fighters"? And did they skip over all of those states in the north to come to the SE because Igboland has the best vehicles in the world? I'm guessing they must have walked there from libya too.lol |
...As fresh crisis hits merger plans Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja Sunday, 17 June 2012 FRESH crisis appears to be brewing within the ranks of the Congress for Progressive Change(CPC) as key allies of its founder and presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari have opposed what they termed unilateral actions being taken by the leader so far. The development is already constituting a huge threat to the planned merger between the CPC and Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) ahead of the 2015 general election. Buhari was said to have personally resolved to take over the negotiation with the ACN recently, following the perception of negative roles said to have been played by his trusted allies ahead of the 2011 election. Some of those who considered themselves as core Buhari loyalists were said to have, through their conducts, worked for the defeat of the party by unilaterally changing lists of candidates close to the election proper. Buhari was said to have felt disappointed by the conduct of some of those close to him as insinuations were also out there that he was being controlled by his key aides. The General had, as part of his resolve to personally negotiate the merger with ACN, visited the party’s leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu about two months ago. Tinubu also recently visited Buhari in Kaduna alongside his party chiefs. Sources close to the party however confirmed that many of the top party leaders have expressed frustration at Buhari’s decision to sideline the party machinery in the merger plans and some of them were of the view that Buhari might, one day, defect to the ACN without telling them. At a meeting held last week by chieftains of the party at the Abuja Sheraton Hotels, the frustrations of CPC chiefs became pronounced with a source confirming that the National Chairman, Prince Tony Momoh told the meeting that if Buhari’s disregard for the party continues, he might be forced to resign. Seven top members were said to have attended the meeting. While some of them agreed with the expression of frustration by Momoh, others however calmed the chairman, saying that Buhari will never join ACN. Sources at the meeting told the Sunday Tribune that most of those at the meeting however expressed disappointment with the way Buhari was said to be running the affairs of the CPC by taking unilateral decisions. According to sources, one of the instance of the perceived unilateral decision by Buhari was the decision to host Tinubu and others in Kaduna without intimating the party. A source said that the National Chairman was shocked to meet Tinubu and others at Buhari’s house in Kaduna as he (Momoh) was only there to keep a scheduled appointment. “The National Chairman only went to Kaduna to keep a date with Buhari over some outstanding discussions and he was shocked that the date coincided with the same date he (Buhari) was to host Ahmed Bola Tinubu over the merger talks. The meeting was never known to Momoh until he went to honour the date with the General,” a source said. “The CPC as a party is being sidelined in most of the activities that happened during the meeting between the CPC and the ACN representatives. Even though the chairman participated in the meeting in Kaduna, he was not really informed that the CPC/ACN merger talks was going to hold,” another source stated. There are fears that the way things are going, Buhari might just one day decide to join the ACN and abandon some of them in the CPC as an empty shell. Another member of the party’s top hierarchy who spoke at the meeting in Sheraton, Abuja said that they have warned Buhari about Tinubu and that the General does not know Tinubu very well. “We believe that Tinubu is only fraternising with Buhari for his own personal political interests, adding that once Tinubu is aware that he cannot get anything out of the planned political alliance/merger between the CPC and the A CN, he (Tinubu ) will abandon Buhari,” a party leader was also quoted as saying, adding that he has been getting details of interactions between Buhari and Tinubu in recent times. It was however gathered that the CPC leaders had resolved at the meeting to call a show down meeting with Buhari where they would get across to him some prevailing circumstances and why the planned merger with the ACN may not be in the interest of the CPC. http://tribune.com.ng/sun/news/7613-as-fresh-crisis-hits-merger-plans |
