I don't see anything wrong with the advert, instead I see a whole lot wrong with Nigerians here and elsewhere condemning the advert, is the advert bad because it told the truth about a nation that cant control crime because it's leaders and law enforcement agents are criminals? Shouldn't we be rather worried that we (our leaders and all) have lost reputation to the point that sony went ahead to publish the advert?

It has become necessary to ask such a question as this. If the colonial masters had stayed well into the eighties as pointed out by someone here, may be things would have been much better.
Honestly I loath those Nigerians and there are many of them in this forum, who would want to make others look bad and unpatriotic for pointing out that something is really wrong with Nigeria and that the center seems not to be holding, I often wonder if they are being sincere, making faith confessions or being outright foolish. There is something wrong with Nigeria and it is not getting any better, period.
The Nigerian political system as it is presently constituted cannot also, produce the crop of leaders that can bring the necessary changes that are needed.
WE NEED HELP AND FAST. There must be a climax to all these but I wonder when it will occur and what direction it might take.
Recently we had Dora Akunyili telling us not to 'badmouth' Nigeria when she too is at a loss and obviously part of the problem (I know I am alone on this one about Dora) but there is a fine line between saying something is wrong with our country which obviously is the truth, and which this topic points to, and 'badmouthing' Nigeria.

Is Adeboye or the Church of Christ the problem of Nigeria? Is the church running Aso Rock? or the Nigerian police, navy and army? I am not RCCG member and though as a Christian I see a lot of ‘Men of God’ that are questionable but I refrain from assaulting them as God exists whom they profess and He will adequately take care of the real and fake. There are many who have built enclaves in Nigeria where they literally control some Nigerians, keep them from associating with those outside they fold and restrict they movement in the name of being some prophet, we ignore them and of course they are feared. But men like Adeboye whose works are open for all to see are maligned by people like obamawo who are a great nuisance to Nigeria or whichever nation poverty and cowardice have driven them to.

He challenged the Government to send proven cases of HIV to him. Does he not know where he could get thousands to experiment on?

The truth is Abalaka never had the cure. It defies logic that someone would hold the holy grail of medicine and be complaining of lack of Government support. Some people just thrive on the attention, like those guys in the US that claimed they had found a corpse of Bigfoot. Shame some people here on Nairaland are easily misled.

c. The Admiral. I really empathize with my Admiral. This is a man widely known in social and official circles as a gentleman of honour and integrity. This incidence has no doubt tainted his name. I am however convinced that he would be able to defend himself and his men as is expected of any gentleman officer. I urge you all not to judge him by this singular incident. The Admiral is a man you would love to meet and associate with.
