investnow2013:Good Job! I hope Sir Emeka Offor will extend his largess to parts of Oraifite,Oba, Ichi,Nnewi, Amichi, Utuh and all those adjacent communities. No more half current abeg. ![]() It is also great that they build an iron cage around the facility to guard against vandals that walk around vandalizing transformer parts. |
MalcoImX:You must be silly if you didn't know Nigeria gained its independence and started existing as a country on 1st October,1960. before, then all constituent nations of the territory were governed as a British protectorate or colony. What every name you prefer. If you don't know that much, please go back to elementary school. I don't have time for kids. |
MalcoImX:Which yoruba ever admits he is yoruba anymore? I expect you to claim Ijaw,Benin, Tiv or Ibibio. As if that will deceive anyone. Yeye pipul ![]() |
MalcoImX:The simple answer to a senseless question is YES. Oil was discovered in 1956 and Nigeria was founded in 1960. If the oil was not there, the north had already proclaimed they were not interested in independence nor being in the same country with the south. The discovery of oil in the south changed all that. |
MalcoImX:Another crap trying to evade the issue talking about SS/SE. A Nlander wrote this and not a single yoruba person has been able to put forward any credible reason to disprove it. So i have adopted the message because i see you guys are uncomfortable with the truth being said. OREMI22:so the bitter truth is that OIL is the ONLY REASON Yorubas and Hausas want Nigeria so desperately while hating the peoples of Nigeria viciously. I can tell you many Igbos are fine to be in their own country right now with or without SS. Can you say that about Yorubas? ![]() yeye dey smell..... |
denko:3 of them are Igbo people. Don't know how many are christians among them |
"When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.. They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country! But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria. Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT! I know just like me, many of our people are not 100% convinced Biafra is the answer, while many others already are. Therefore, we should agitate for a UN sponsored referendum on the Biafra issue . Northern Ireland fought the British for 30 years for the independence of Northern Ireland, but the referendum proved that majority of the people wanted to stay in the UK. Likewise, the South Sudan's referendum proved majority of South Sudanese wanted to be in their own country. Therefore, a United Nations sponsored referendum should be the demand to see if majority of our people support independence or to stay in Nigeria."- Oremi22 NLander |

Yes o! The Boko haram killings are barbaric, brutal, unnecessary, callous etc etc etc.... The dulllard continues issuing empty statements, no action! ![]() https://ketekete.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/lol_idi_amin.gif |
[s] MalcoImX:[/s] Another yeye yoruba goon. I suppose Igbos trust Yoruba with their lives ![]() If oil were in the north or SW in commercial quantities, your greedy folks would have since divided Nigeria. Not to talk about the fact they would not tolerate the sharing of their oil resources and giving their Igbo enemies the lion share citing a bogus census figure. Yet this is precisely what the north and the Yorubas have connived to be doing in Nigeria..... and they get so angry if the people dare protest the robbery. |
okay, how is this useful in the political section? Should it not be in the celebrity or jokes section? |
Everything boils down to good planning. Chime has already demonstrated that even the poorest revenue allocated state like Enugu, can plan well and still perform better than the highest revenue allocated states. Enugu can continue to develop as well as Nsukka. They should start with major roads in Nsukka. You don't have to do everything immediately, but use good quality contractors such as Arab contractors to ensure every project completed is of the highest world class quality. Ugwuanyi in his inaugural speech spoke about developing Emene - 9th mile area as Enugu's free trade and industrial zone. Of course he can lay the ground work for this by planning the area to the highest international standard. Demarcating areas for new residential estates, industrial zone and recreational parks within this huge expanse of land. Then begin to attract industrialists to buy plots in the industrial zone and property developers as Spyder to develop new housing estates in the residential part. Once people know the whole place is planned like Obodo oyibo standard and government opens up the first feeder roads and electricity lines even if the roads are not tarred, those industrialists and property developers will come. Especially in this day and age when Igbos are looking for great industrial layouts to relocate or set up a new investment in the east. So, the first step is to make a solid modern plan and then follow the plan a little each year based on availability of funds. In the picture below, several areas were earmarked for "future development". Which means, the government can acquire the area and then develop small portions of it in phases.

winniz:If he did, he should be called out publicly. My own is that our people should continue to protest until Boko haram is removed from the state. If peaceful protest does not do it, we will storm the prison and kill those animals ourselves by burning them down with the buildings. |
Please, Yoruba people should stop calling other people f00ls. When they are getting their way, they know they are YORUBA, NOT SOUTHERNER, but when they get burnt in their treacherous plot, they are suddenly "southerners" Abeg, there are NO "SOUTHERNERS" IN NIGERIA. We have Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw, Efik Urhobo etc. Stop your stale lies, we ain't f00ls! |
asha80:The youth conference is organized by first lady's office and they invited the governor. Abi you want anoda woman to act as first lady for Gov. Obiano while his wife is still alive? ![]() My hand no dey that plan o ![]() |
ZeroTolerance:Going by your mentality, then anyone that showed any paved road in Nigeria or well built house is wrong for that because more streets in Nigeria are untarred than the tarred ones, just as many more Nigerians don't live in mansions showed in Nairaland. I can categorically state that your reasoning is flawed. There is no absolute in life. A little of everything. Even in the most advanced or wealthiest countries, there still some untarred roads as there are poor people. You should show the untarred roads as what has not been done well, just as showing the tarred ones as example of what was done well. That is called having a balanced view. |

Op stop your deceit, there are NO southerners in Nigeria. We have Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw Efik ibibio etc in the south of Nigeria. Stop the lie, there are no southerners in Nigeria. |
The dictator bares his fangs again. Nigeria is in for a long nightmare. |
AnamCity:Unnecessary lies. Dangote doesn't care about Igboland and it is okay. He should invest his money in his area. The tragedy is when our people thoughtlessly follow Dangote to neglect Igboland in their own investment decision. That is the painful part of the tragedy. |

BuddahMonk:I am from Ika area of Delta state and i do understand the point being made. Although my family and I are irrevocably Igbo, it is a fact that many of my people have other preferences to identify themselves. Sometime due to the political expediency of the zone we belong rather than what we know as the undiluted truth. Therefore the cry of "i am not Igbo" is bound to arise if the SE "demands" for Anioma inclusion into the zone. Those in the western part of our land will strongly encourage the anti-Igbo rhetorics, while those on the eastern border will embrace Igbo. The result will be a fracture of the Anioma people. Therefore, It is indeed better for our Obis to debate the issue and decide on it amicably. |
Royal155:Daura President is getting his satisfaction. Time to kill abooki again is here. It looks like 2000-2002 has faded from their memory. |
redcap:Not just that Dangote bluntly refused and rejected the south east where he enjoys huge patronage of his cement, flour and noodles sales in his investment list. Dangote in collusion with Obasanjo tried everything in their power to kill IBETO cement in order to have no rivals whatsoever in the SE market . Don't be surprised if any of these men have a hand in the Martin Elechi obstacle to resuscitation of Nkalagu cement by IBETO cement. Thank Jesus that God has brought all their evil plot to naught. IBETO cement has higher quality than Dangote cement in term of durability and the number of blocks you can mould from one 50 kg bag. |
asha80:Sometimes, the education component helps our business people think globally and strategically. When education is lacking, it is difficult to convince someone about a strategic business move when the BAN has not come yet. That is my fear with Ifeanyi Ubah. I suspect he will cajole or even deride anyone trying to tell him diversification from fuel importation is the right thing to do now that the business hasn't been banned yet. The same way our big time importers such as Ekulo group of companies by Emma Bishop will deride anyone convincing him to set us the luxury wines and biscuit companies in Nigeria. But any economist will tell you that once a country begins to lack foreign exchange and its currency begins to devalue, they look for imported goods which the country can live without and ban them to save foreign exchange. With the fall in oil revenue, Nigeria is undergoing that economic fact now. |
