The border communities in Anambra state are the new killing grounds for the Fulani herdsmen.

Now the tie up women in their farm, rape them before butchering them like animals.

This is exactly why the IGP wanted to disarm Anambra people because he knew their plot to invade the state was close. it has finally started. The youths in all these villages should simply defend themselves.

The is a war of elimination going on secretly by those piloting these wars against us from Abuja.

I have always advocated for our people to stop or reduce the consumption of beef and instead eat more chicken and fish.
Personally, i eat chicken and turkey even in soups and stew and its much better and healthier.

Culture of eating beef in our environment is partly what is driving all the cows in northern Nigeria into our farms because there is market for it.

people performing ceremonies in Igboland should learn to stop buying cows for the celebrant. Instead, give him the equivalent N300,000 - 500,000 naira in an envelop and still carry the rope to show you bought a cow. Buying 20 cows for people and then they have to sell them at discount of more than N200, 000 back to herdsmen means you actually gave them about N50,000 even though your cow cost N250,000 naira. I just hope we change the bad aspects of our culture that is encouraging the current slaughter of our people.

Ofuzo:
Another very very good point. I'm especially responding to you because you brought up Mitsubishi and Hyundai, which will allow me to talk about the travails of INNOSON, the first indegenious car manufacturing company in subsaharan africa. Before I do that, I want to talk about something that have had me scratching my head every time I think about it. How is it that a company called ARAB contractors are building our roads, while some Turkish and Asian companies are building our high-rise buildings. If I'm not mistaken, I think Arab contractors also built the brand new enugu Secretariat. FOLKS, this is an abomination, something we should all be ashamed of. By now, in the year 2018, igbo contractors should be able to build all it's highways and bridges. Currently, all the top contractors in the nigerian oil and gas sector are igbo companies. Three of the biggest oil pipeline construction companies in nigeria, nestoil, oilserv and Baywood continental are all igbo. These companies have mastered the art of laying pipelines in all manners of terrain, including swamp areas and even on shallow water. They have even mastered the engineering feat of laying pipelines through rivers without disturbing the river bed. They simply accomplished this by drilling under the water bed!! And yet, we have arab contractors building common road for us
Now, back to car manufacturing: the very simple question that must be asked here is; why are the igbo states, and by extension, the southsouth states not patronizing INNOSON? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHYhuhhuh?.
Why are all the igbo governors riding around in Toyota SUV's instead of INNOSON G5huhhuhhuh. Why are their commissioners and the departmental heads of state agencies riding around in Toyota SUV'shuhhuh?.
During the last anambra gubernatorial election, I vehemently attacked obiano for abandoning patronizing INNOSON after the huge patronage that was lavished on them by the Peter Obi administration. Of course, I also didn't like the fact that anambra, like imo state, have not adopted the FREE EDUCATION SYSTEM. By now, since 2010 when he opened his manufacturing plant, INNOSON cars should be seen in all nooks and crannies of the state. But this is not the case. Every time I visit home, I always take it upon myself, as an assignment to locate his car products on the road. But alas, I never see any!!. This is very very shocking. All blame should be laid on the feat of the clueless obiano and his anambra government because like we say, CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. The rest of the igbo states, can also not be blameless. The INNOSON's saga goes a long way to reveal that the igbos states, and by extension their southsouth cousins, do not know how to martial out their resources to achieve maximum objectives. Any people who does not remotely understand how to maximize the potential of INNOSON, like the Koreans did with Hyundai etc will never realize their maximum potential.
I agree with all you have said.

I remember in the early 1980s and 1990s, every government parastatal was mandated to drive Peugeot make of vehicles because it was assembled in Kaduna. Now all that patriotism has been thrown out of the window because this vehicle manufacturing plant is in Nnewi?

I agree that the SE governors who have abandoned their own are the worst in this case. Even if other Nigerians refuse to drive INNOSON simply out of tribalism, the SE and SS governors have a responsibility to support our own.

How can you say Idemilli River have no access to the River Niger?
The bridge that connects Harbor and Iyiowa which river flows beneath it directly from Oba similar pattern it flows beneath the bridge along Onitsha - Owerri Road after Obosi bypass.

Even before Iyiowa not Odekpe started seeing development Atani Ozubulu axis have been a wetland.

How can Odekpe and Atani block Idemilli River when Odekpe is on the bank of the river Niger with Atani separated from the wetland by Atani Road.

Building of dam to divert water is different from these claim of yours.

May be the way i said it offended you. But suffice to say that this is something that i studied waaay back in school. Other people have similarly researched on this topic. The worst part is that Buhari's administration has sold out Nigeria for pennies to America.

Now we give trade concessions that were deemed impossible in the past. We report all our sensitive national data from key institutions to the Americans who pass it off to CIA for strategic planning and containment of Nigeria.

What did Buhari get for selling off Nigeria? 12 Tuscano planes that will be delivered in 2020. grin grin grin grin

This is a place I ply almost all the time going to village, from Atani you get Udoji Building at Ozubulu. The entire place is swampy, it will be good for rice farming and palm wine tapping. From Atani to Ozubulu is more than 40KM of swampy wetland.

Idemili river flows into river Niger through Oba down to Harbor Industrial Area, there is bridge connecting Harbour and Iyiowa from there Idemilli River emptied into River Niger.

Atani and Odekpe are far from Idemilli, Odekpe is not even obstructing any river because it's situated beside River Niger while Atani as well have similar topography with Odekpe, Ohita is the town in between both.
Oga, grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin. You got me laughing so hard. I just have to say something lol...
The fact you passed there a few times does not mean you know the charted and documented course of Idemili river. Please do your self a favor and go into some of the universities such as UNIZIK or UNN and look for Dissertation work of Geology doctoral or even Masters students and you will learn better about tributaries of that river forming marshlands, meandering of Rivers, Flood plains, Deltas and estuaries. I am sure if you read well, you will understand that everything in the world isn't just a straight line path. You will also learn a lot about Anambra topography and why we are so prone to erosion. People have done these research and they are available if you have time to read them.

What you have written exposes a lot about your understanding River tributaries, marshland formation and deltas. Just to put it in perspective if i can. It is like if a huge dam is built in Niamey, Niger Republic and diverts 100% of River Niger elsewhere into the Sahara desert, somebody in Onitsha then explain the phenomenon of suddenly dry River Niger at Onitsha by saying Niamey is more that 1000 KM away from Onitsha, so no matter what happens to the River at Niamey, the water in Onitsha will remain the same lolz... Well, he forgot that the same River Niger that is in Niamey is the same River he sees in Onitsha lol.... grin
You need to read about Mungo Park men! grin

This is the Atani - Ozubulu 5.6km road project with two phases, 1 and 2 being executed by Tamad Construction Ltd and IDC Ltd respectively. This road has been completed and is ready to be handed over officially to the Anambra State government.
The land accessed by this road will open the way for adequate land for industrialization and even commercial farming. Most of the land is swampy but it is because the Idemili river does not have any access into the River Niger because the town of Atani and Odekpe have been built directly over the River course. So the river deposits all its water in the land just behind the town of Odekpe and that is why the whole area is swampy.

If somebody can create a small canal to make sure the Idemili river water continues in its path and gets into the River Niger, this area will be drained of the swampy water and good for any type of activity.

Our own South-East Computer and GSM Village is here right now in the city of Onitsha @ the new GSM & Computer Mega Center along Onitsha-Asaba Highway, Onitsha- Nigeria.
They should build more of these types of market along the Nkpor - Awka axis of the expressway.
Those street traders should be given opportunity to own shops in these markets. The state should help make the place accessible by building a big bus stop right inside the area to facilitate bringing goods into and out of the area.

I wish the government will seriously begin to think about creating big modern markets in Nkpor, Ogidi, Umuoji and Oba even up to Uli. These will help decongest Onitsha main market and help new areas grow economically. The problem with Africa is that once something is built in the 1960s to cater for 50,000 persons, the subsequent generations will not even have the sense to build a bigger one now that the population had multiplied to 5,000,000 persons. I will a conscious effort is made to decongest Onitsha and create modern main markets around the city.

There should be a total ban on cutting trees in Enugu, Nsukka and indeed all other urban centers of the state.

More interventions in Agriculture expected, as Governor Obiano visits Giant Irrigation Pumping Facility at Ifite Ogwari.

Kenechukwu Ofomah

Governor Willie Obiano today paid a working visit to a Giant Irrigation Pump at Ifite Ogwari in Ayamelum Council Area.
The facility which was completed in 1987 by the then General Ibrahim Babangida regime, was designed to provide irrigation services to the Lower Anambra Irrigation Rice fields at Omor but has abandoned for over 15 years.
Governor Obiano's visit was to see first hand, what was the challenge and how the State Government working with the Federal Government and other relevant programmes, can reactivate the pumping system.
It baffles me how projects are built and Nigeria and just abandoned to rust away without helping the country in anyway!
I'm happy Obiano is willing to spend and revive this project.

You are right to an extent, but there are some parts of Nigeria that were well planned, the problem is that infrastructure development was at a complete stop in the last 50 years. Enugu planners has done some appreciable work. There were no uncontrolled urbanization in most parts, except for inner towns like Amechi village and inner parts of Nike.
Gbam!
Apart from a few distortions, Enugu more or less retained its original master plan. Many cities in Nigeria neither had a master nor responsible government to regulate urban development.

Enugu might have a problem in Independence Layout Phase 2. Unlike Phase 1 independence layout where dual carriage roads were well mapped out in the plan, in the Phase 2 independence layout, there are no provisions for a major dual carriage way to gain access into the entire area hosting many, many housing estates. There needs to be a dual carriage that enters from Enugu-PH expressway and exits on Enugu-Abakaliki express road. Goshen estate built their main gate across the center of the main entrance road leading into Independence Layout Phase 2. Based on that structural anomaly, there needs to be an alternative entrance and exit to build the dual carriage into that area. Else eventually, it will not be anything close to Independence layout Phase 1.

That is why i applaud Willie Obiano of Anambra for taking the bold steps to remove illegal structures and street markets in his state. I also like that he uses the Housing estates protocol to develop which often allows well planned housing areas to emerge in cities.

Rochas Okorocha did very well in executing the New Owerri housing initiative. He built several dual carriage access roads into new Owerri over the Nworie River. That showed me Rochas can do great things if he wanted. Many Nigerian governors would have simply built one bridge over Nworie river and thus, there will be massive traffic on that single crossing point. What Rochas did in Owerri is quite commendable no matter the political party one belongs.
