Did you just say annihilation? Its simple, y'all women want to eat ya cake and have it. Your post reeks of assumptions. Yes, I know what the word means, and yes, I mean it as it is. Your marriage may be the one where domination is important, it does not have to be like that. Before you speak of other nations, maybe be familiar with their statistics. That you don't hear about them does not mean it is not prevalent. You are obviously a product of search engine and social media algorithms. OchoL: This in itself is a major contradiction.
A man TAKES you abroad, and you call that a partnership?
Gosh I can't with this mentality Do you dear. I am only saying my mind. You have been expressing yourself since as you should. Keep it moving dear! |

OchoL: Gibberish. Deep down, you yourself know the truth about female nature and will not take it lightly if someone does to your Male relatives what some of these women abroad do to our men. I apologize for quoting you in the first place. Your history with online arguments have not been particularly favorable. Please feel free to do you and encourage the people around you in your own line of thinking. Have a nice day. |

I dont get the slavery part. I havent seen one. What I have seen is a man taking decisions as the head of his family. If he takes his wife abroad to give her a better life should she make his life miserable by acting as the head? Why not divorce him and pay him back his financial investments? No,they won't. They would rather lie and call the police and act as victims,so he loses his properties to her and gets deported.
If you are such a man, won't you kill that devilish wife? I know you would and even barbeque his balls too It is possible I used a strong term. Slavery here does not literally mean slavery...a better suited word will be domination, maybe annihilation? It is one thing to make decisions, it is another to be inclusive and considerate in the decision making process. |

Men,
Taking your wives to a civil society means that you should begin to see them as worthy partners. Do not think you can be their master and God abroad, instead, work in a partnership, like marriage was intended to be.
Women, this abroad is for everyone. It is not gender specific. If you want to be in a society that values your contribution as a woman, you can make the move for yourself without waiting for any man that would continue to use that help as a chain on your neck. Do your thing biko. |

juman: The write up is one sided. Painted women as devil.
In reality its not like that. A man that went home and took a wife abroad, when they reached abroad the man believed he is now the wife's God.
That's the basis of many problems. If this isnt the truth! |

OchoL: Empty rants again as usual.
. What you just typed has no relationship with what she said. Let me help you. Once you decide to take your wife abroad, you have to leave behind all traces of domineering attitude as the society there frowns on it. What usually causes friction is that Nigerian men think it is going to be business as sual even abroad. They expect the women to remain as the slaves they were in Nigeria which is not possible in a land of opportunity. It threatens them that their women are now free to hustle and make their own choices. So, maybe begin to see your wife as an equal partner and record less frictions. |

To be honest, I can see a lot of desperate acts leading people to even more compounding problems. If you are looking for appointment dates, instead of moving from one location to another, just chill. Check the platform at night, join groups with people of like mind, keep your ear to the ground, watch and pray. Don't let your perceived urgency cause you to spend unnecessarily without even getting solutions. I know tempers are high and I understand, but just strategize and chill. |

Sugarxx: My interview is on Tuesday. I tried to renew my passport earlier (sometime in August) and I was told that I can’t renew if my passport is not expiring in 6 months... meaning the earliest I can renew is by February 2021 or I claim my passport was stolen. I don’t then know what to do now Are you in Abuja? I renewed mine before 6 months. I can give you the contact of the person |

Sugarxx: Hello guys,
I have a quick question please. My interview is next week and my passport expired July 2020. I am unable to renew the passport as you can’t renew a passport that is valid for up to six months at the time or renewal. Please is this an issue ?
Looking forward to hearing from y’all
Thank you So, you expect your visa to be issued on an expired passport? Yes, you can renew even before that 6 months, and July is such a long time, how come you never renewed it ever since? |

There were December dates available today which meant that if you paid your sevis and appointment fees, you could have gotten a date that would enable you interview and leave in due time. I don't know the earliest appointment date available though. You can still request for emergency appointment.
Go through this thread and study interview transcripts as they are the best simulation of what an interview looks like
Only your department can advise you on the implication of deferring, no one here can tell you that |

No, because your profile is differentiated by passport number. It is kinda locked in. Whatever issues you have, you might want to resolve without opening another account. |
