My Nigerian Uni seems to be delaying the sending of my transcript to the US, and of course without it, they will not release the I-20. US school intends to email the I-20 so I'm sure to get it with 48 hours of transcript getting there. I need that I-20 like yesterday...
I can already see interview dates in Lagos showing January 2022 (too late), and Abuja showing July, still too late. I don't want emergency.
Please anyone with useful info here should help a brother- connect, advice, etc. Still pressing exams and records to do the needful though. I feel like I should travel down there and gatecrash them till they send it. I want it to leave this week.

Don't be thinking. Enter the next flight to your school and chase down that transcript. You would be amazed at the speed it will be processed if you are physically there.

I have a sister who is a US citizen and she resides in the same city as my school. Here's my question, is it better I fill her address as where I'll be staying or should I say I'll be staying on campus. Bearing in mind that her house is abt 20mins drive from the school.

Also, is it better I use her as my contact information or should I use my uncle who resides in another state?.

Ps: I fully disclosed that I have a sibling in US when filling my ds-160.

You should try as much as you can to distance your educational purpose from your sister. That way it can help establish your non-immigrant stance

All schools have different timelines for processing application. If you really want to know, you can call the department admin and find out the status of your application.

And you know what's funny? I can tell you that no girl will ever frown at you here! I have never seen an oyibo guy or girl frown at me or anyone else EVER since I came here. I was disconcerted by the smiling culture here. I was shopping last week and my cart mistakenly fell on a white girl. I rushed to the front in a flurry of apologies and felt so bad at my clumsiness. This lady was downright smiling at me. I was just apologizing and she kept on saying, it's okay it's not your fault. But I looked into her eyes and saw that she was pissed too (as should be) but the smile was still on her face. Obviously she was torn between choosing to be angry or maintaining her cultural upbringing. Her eyes gave her anger away but she was still smiling.
