Yes my I-20 was uploaded and admission letter, but sevis receipt wasn’t uploaded.

I don’t think that’s the issue anyways, what I suspect was wrong with my application for emergency appointment is that I noticed I just took and screenshot of my I-20 the way it was sent to me and uploaded it, I didn’t upload the printed screenshot I had signed. So today when giving a feedback on my dashboard I uploaded the one I signed on the column I am supposed to sign and sent to them. They said they will reply within one or two working days.

Fingers crossed. By Gods Grace it will happen.
Sevis receipt is a most important part of the emergency appointment request and you can be denied based on that ALONE

Visa Approved

First I stood for 4 hours, my legs still hurt till now. But I guess it doesn't matter now. So when I got in there, I noticed that the guy at window 7 was just distributing rejection like kilode. I began praying that I skip him but for this kin thing luck no dey favor me. I kept faith sha. But I sha still landed on his table.

When I got there he asked me to place my left hand on the scanner. I did and he couldn't get my finger print. We tried for a bit so I asked him, did you mean my left or right because you told me left. Then he apologized and said that he meant the right hand.

VO: Where are you going to in the US

Me: I am currently a graduate student of the communications program in the University

VO: Why did you choose this school

Me: The department has a concentration in organizational communication that align with my research interests. The profile of faculty members like and impressed me and consolidated my interest in the department. My graduate assistantship award that covers tuition and living expenses was the icing on the cake.

VO: Where do you work

Me: I work as a customer service supervisor in my organisation.

VO: Have you ever traveled outside the country before

Me: No, I have not had any reason to

VO: Are you married

Me: No

VO: Do you have any kids

Me: No

VO: I intend issuing you your visa

If I start to thank people, I'll run out of space. Fairheart, I have nothing but love for you.

i must commend everyone for their tremendous efforts in bringing in these updates.
please i have an urgent question...between Abuja and Lagos embassy which is easier to get an f1 visa accepted?!!!!!!!!
As you can see, no one can outrightly answer that question as experiences are individualized and dependent on the position of the attending VO. Your work is to ensure your credibility such that no matter who you stand before, you can make your point.

The amazing part is that he sold the car that he is still paying for. I get that times are hard and stuff, but if you sold the car and what was left for repayment is 900k, why not repay with your full chest?

Thanks for your response. It's very much appreciated.
Considering your points, do you suggest I get another SOA with a high available balance and have my school update my I-20 or is there a better option on how to go about it??
And yes, my uncle is my sponsor.
Thanks once again
Your school does not need to reupdate your I20. If you can print out a sufficient balance from your sponsor and you have confidence in convincing the VO, then you can go ahead

Goodmorning all, pls I have some important questions to ask
1. I heard some schools in the US have waived GRE due to COVID 19...is it true bc I haven't written one and I intend to apply for admission

2 I have a bachelor in pharmacy and I intend to go for a masters degree..my CGPA is 4.41/5 and 3.64 with WES. What ae my chances of getting a scholarship or an assistantship?

3. Hope age 32 isn't bad for a masters degree?
1. Yes, many schools waived the GRE while some still insist on it

2. Yes you have a good GPA, but I think there is a separate procedure for applying to pharmaceutical courses for a masters degree. I am not quite certain. Do more research.

3. Your age is okay

Good day house! I've been follower of this thread and I must say that it has been educating, all thanks to everyone of you contributing his/her little idea. I'm awaiting my interview appointment at Lagos consulate. In the meantime, I'm kinda confused about the amount of money available in my sponsor's SOA although it was approved by my school.

The total estimated average cost is $25,219
While the available balance on my sponsor's SOA is $27,880.
I don't have any scholarship.
Please what are my chances at the interview with this funding?? Or do I have to print an updated SOA showing a higher available balance even if it's not going to reflect on my i-20 since I've received it already??

Suggestions please. Thanks and God bless
I think the fund is too small. You dont have any funding from the school and you can only show just a teeny little over one year's estimate. Do you think its enough to convince a consular? Secondly, who is your sponspor? If it is uncle or other relation, how do you justify an uncle giving you all the money in his account for studying? Please mull over these

Hello, I have an emergency appointment for Monday and due to the ongoing pandemonium, I'm scared the consulate might remain shut. There has also been difficulty in my sponsor getting his statement of account from the bank, as a result of the protest also. My question is can I book an appointment as the first week of December is available just in case my emergency appointment is not possible or if I don't get my financial documents ready by then and will this affect me in any way? Please I need you guys input. Thanks
Na who dey alive dey go US.

I'm just tired.
The US Embassy Abuja just denied my emergency VISA appointment request for failure to upload my SEVIS FEE receipt. I don't understand why SEVIS FEE RECEIPT should be important to get emergency appointment. SEVIS FEE is not a requirement for emergency appointment on their site. The only requirement is Form I-20 which I uploaded.

I called the VISA Appointment centre and the officer that picked said that nothing can be done to my case because emergency appointment is only granted once, that I should be checking on their site regularly for earlier appointment that I'm not the only one whose emergency appointment is denied, that the embassy is aware of our case.

Why is SEVIS FEE important now, won't I submit it on the interview day?

Now, I'm afraid if Lagos would grant me emergency appointment because I have already filled the form.

I'm just tired.
Actually sevis receipt is part of the requirements for requesting an emergency appointment.
If you read through the requirements you would see. So sorry about that

I asked if I can pay for the css profile using a Nigerian Bank, den drDoom3 answered yes. I asked how will I do that? I didn't get further answers.

I also recall asking if there's anyone who gained admission for UG studies, if yes, did come with full funding and the name of the school, finish... no answer again.
. Your second question is pointless. Your circumstances are unique to yourself. Even if someone has finding in one school it doesn't apply to you.

First narrow down your school search based on the course you want to do. Read the school and department website, if they have funding, it will be stated there. Further questions should be directed to the admissions coordinator.

If you now have a specific request, state here

Ok so application deadline should be a month before I start asking abi? undecided
See, this application knowledge is not gotten in a day. It takes hours of research. Nairaland is just to see if anyone has any alternative idea or if you have a unique situation, but the bulk of the work has to be done by you.

The questions you are asking seem easily gotten from Google. I don't know the answers but I know that if I want to get it, I'll find it.

Put in research first okay

I have just been given an interview date for October 19....which is next Monday .....I just don’t know where to start from because I received the mail this morning
..Please help ooo
Calm down okay, you can do this. First you need to pay your sevis and visa fees. Next print out your I-20 and all your other documents. Fill in your ds form, start reviewing interview questions and come up with a game plan.

Hi Everyone,

So i had to defer my admission from Fall 2020 to spring 2021 having paid the SERVIS FEE already.I am on the process of getting the new I-20

I have 3 questions

1) How can I transfer my servis fee to new I-20
2)Will a softcpoy I-20 suffice for the visa interview
3)How do I go about getting an emergency visa appointment

thanks
I think your sevis ID should be the same if you are just deferring same program and same school. Please confirm from the new and former 1-20
Yes, a softcopy will suffice

The question is an indication that your plan to study in the U.S wasn't absolute!

Jesus is advising you here: For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ (Luke 14:28-30 ESV).

Your education is a monumental part of your existence. If you prefer other countries to the U.S, follow that and follow through.
If you have started and you are still asking yourself that question, they you started without a resolve.
Personally, I don't start a fight I cannot win! This is how every warrior attain that badge. grin
You just dey cruise this night, is there any special reason?
