bukatyne2: A single guy is better off migrating alone than a single lady.
Most people I know migrated married or started processing when they had a partner in mind and relocated shortly after (some did as quickly as a month) while others just settled and came back home to marry and pick their spouses. And I am telling you that you cannot be sure about that. Times are fast changing. Many ladies no longer want to wait for their men to shine first before they do ( not like it is a bad thing) but to each his own. If you have the resources and it is your desire as a woman, why the hell not? And the marriage thing is subtly overrated. What are the chances that if you stay back and get married that you would be living your best life? Marriages in Nigeria are not even the model. So please, allow ladies to make whatever decisions they want to biko. |

bukatyne2: Do single girls migrate?
Why would a single mature girl migrate alone?
She is not going to college or university where she can meet people and integrate into their society. Yes they do all the time. Nothing is cast in stone. Why won't single girls migrate? Abi na only men dey find greener pastures? Suffer dey tire everybody please |

This is very funny. So as a Nigerian woman looking to immigrate to Canada I should think twice because of men? Men? Hahahahah... You people won't really allow women to make their choices in peace. Ha! |

AyeBos1: The community college is way cheaper and offers the course I want to study (Fashion Design) as a certificate course and not degree. From recent trends, I do not think it is advisable to apply to those type of schools and get a visa. Instead, there are masters degree courses in design related fields. I remember reading an approved visa transcript of that course in part 14 of this thread. It is a much better alternative. |

They don't want anyone to come between them and their line. They know other road users will try to either enter or take advantage of the space. What they don't know is that you can avoid unncessry accident and costs and life just by giving a decent distance. Personally I give the next car plenty of space. If you want to slide in, please do so, if you horn for me na you go tire. I don't joke with my life and I don't have money. |

Vwendy: I think people should stop patronizing them, simple. Some times we are lazy to do things by ourselves. Everything about this journey requires some amount of sacrifice. Getting involved and knowing how things are done is an advantage than just giving someone money to do everything for you. ETS made it in a way that you can even register the exam by yourself. All you need to do is get a Master card or any other type of card that can allow you make the online payment. Again, some Exam centers do registration too. So you can go to your intended center and pay them to register you. By that you can be sure you are dealing with a genuine body. Finally, it baffles me when I see their adverts for these exams at unimaginable cheap prices. The official price by ETS is about $195 USD for TOEFL, which is about N70,200 (@360). But they will place advert for TOEFL at 45K and you see people asking to be registered. Even if you trade the 45K for as low as N300 per dollar, it's still not enough. Who do you think would pay the deficit?? And that is why you see those money in your Ets account! Of course ETS is an international body that you can't get away with anyhow. I totally get your point. However, you should know that the deals that makes it this juicy is legit. I think some bodies have access to coupons that enable discounts to be possible. I have taken two GREs and two TOEFLs in my lifetime and for the first registrations were done at a subsidized rate by a popular registration outfit (I cant call their names because it triggers antibot). My point is that it is not illegal. Some unscrupulous elements have decided to hijack the process and it is sad. My advise to future test takers: we have one or two reputable organizations that run same deal. Go with them even though the prices are higher than norm. |

fairheart: FIVE POINTS TO CONSIDER WHEN PICKING A SCHOOL TO STUDY.
1. PICK A SCHOOL THAT YOU CAN AFFORD. First thing first na money. Pick a school your sponsor can readily afford. I always recommend the ones within the range of $16K to $35K as COA (However, there are exemptions especially costly schools with potential for funding). So, look out for opportunity for scholarship, and other form of funding. But make sure the school is affordable. And yes, there are thousands of them to consider.
5. PICK A SCHOOL IN A LOCATION THAT WILL EXCITES YOU AND ENRICH YOUR ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE. What excites you? No comment! Thank you for this. Super helpful. |

Chibzee2: Guys, I'm in a bit of a dilemma now, I initially thought I would be considered for admission with a student copy of my transcript, but SD mines said they need an official copy sent to them which will cost me about 40k. Now pvamu would need a copy to but after being evaluated which will cost me about $170 plus whatever the cost uniport will charge to send to spantran the evaluating company. I'm yet to hear from csu long beach, but I fear they might need an official copy sent to them as well.. Another 40k!
Am I doing this right? Or is there a way I can send my transcript once to three institutions or bodies?
I need advices guys please The deed has already been done in my opinion. You should have filtered for schools that would use unofficial transcripts for evaluation. I would advice you to start seeking other schools with that allowance and apply. Some schools have a deadline of March and some in July. You can still make it. |

1) Import: A commodity, article, or service brought in from abroad for sale.
2) Export: a product or service sold abroad. |
