vascey: Thanks Cochtrane. Had to check the meaning of AOR . Well, I have not even received ITA. The UCI number came up after the glitch of last week. I guess you can withdraw it then. |

vascey: Thank you. I need to mention that I have already been assigned UCI number and identification numbers for my wife and I. If that application is under processing already, then they've logged it in, I'd say. Of course, as you'll find in this link, you can still withdraw it. But, even if you open another application (which you can), you'd have to answer "yes" to the question whether "You have applied for Express Entry before", since you got AOR already, right? What's the error then? Why don't you send several follow-up mail to have them fix the technical issues so you can proceed with this application? |

nnysmuse: Thank you so much cochtrane. Please do you think it matters since I wasn't the PA in the previous one? Okay, this is my own opinion I formed from looking up a lot of details on the net. Didn't read carefully the first time. You needn't answer "yes". It was not your application as you weren't the PA. So, technically you have never applied before. If it applied to your husband as well, I feel the question would have come this way, "Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada...." You'd observe they use this question type as often as they wanted whenever they intend to be specific. In this case they did not. So, I'd say you are good. |

vascey: Cochtrane please assist. I initially submitted an EE profile but with an error which lowered the CRS score.
I have been trying to update my profile but the submit button is not coming up.
I have raised technical issues but the response I was given did not resolve the issue.
Can I just delete or withdraw the submitted profile and fill a fresh one. Is there any downside to this? Sure you can delete or withdraw your profile and submit a new one. Many have done this without consequence. |

nnysmuse: Pls when filling the EE profile, there is a question where one is asked if they have applied to IRCC before?
My hubs was the PA in the defunct FSWP and the application was refused due to an unfortunate error.
Now for EE, I am the PA so I picked NO as my answer. Is it correct? Look at this help item on CIC's website. It should answer your question.

Nazor83: Thanks Cochtrane. I will apply for the remark. Am confident I did a good job. My problem is that BC doesn't have enough information on how to apply for the remark and their contact numbers are not reachable. They don't have an office where I am. I just need to know how I can apply for the remark without going to their office. I can wait for the 12 weeks. I will retake later if I feel I need to do that. You can have someone located in the same place as a British Council do it for you. I think a few people here did that. |

A collection of success cases on NairalandAfter doing the rejection cases, felt I should do the success cases. So, I went through the "PPR declarations" on this Part 3 thread. GlitteringStar has done a good job of compiling this already, so it was just a matter of clicking. Some of these "declarations" shared important details and some were downright inspirational. Thought to share some important summaries from these you might find useful. Details concern self-employment, contesting refusals, following up with CIC after much delay, gift deeds and other POF issues, NOC, etc. Note that these guys all got PPR already, so they must have done something right. At the same time, what works for A doesn't necessarily work for B, so just use this as cautiously as you can. You can go through the main posts themselves to get a clearer picture. Adiahabasi: A part of my work history was self-employed. For this, I included CAC registration, 6 months bank statement, a reference letter written by the company administrator, and a similar reference letter written by a client (regular payments from the client showed on the account statement). Got no ADR on employment. eaglemaniac: My application clocked 6months on the 27th of November but my application status was still Na2. This got me worried so I sent a mail to London but did not get any reply. I then sent another mail but this time around they replied stating that my application was awaiting final review by an officer. Before long, on the 30th of November I check my application status and discovered that I was in ip2 (we are processing your background check) dtaminator: My ECA took 1 year to process all because I wanted to have my Unilag Diploma 1 certificate accessed to meet the then very high cut offs. The program was defunct and there was no trace of any records. Finally, records office generated the result from my statement and sent in December 2016, only for WES to totally ignore it.......
We used a gift deed and only a small part of my bank statement as the six month printout was too large to upload. threadstone: POF: A little high for a single applicant (Gift deed, Personal Income and Pension, about 94% came in the week before AOR sha) EngrKen8: Guys it’s been God all the way because my application wasn’t perfect in any way. I had to wait almost 3 months for POF after ITA. Ended up using a gift deed (100% of the funds). boldinc: ...POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA. I added my daughter from another woman and I got an ADR for a consent letter which her mum did willingly without issues..... kissoflife: • I used two accounts (savings and domicilliary). • Two Gift deeds covering 85% of the funds Deebay: ... *used 25%pension of spouse to complete pof. dfanz: .....My work experience spanned 4 NOCs and over 10years. The NOC I based my application on did not have a good match with the employment letter I submitted hence the refusal. I raised a CSE appealing for reconsideration and my application was reopened. However, I believe that my work experience in it's entirety was considered in reopening my application (not just the nominated NOC)....... Lordnath: .... * I submitted my application on deadline day * 100% POF was gifted and it was transferred by my brother a day before submission * I submitted 5 LOEs to explain everything that wasn't straight * I was interviewed in London and moved to IP2 afterwards.... KayVann: .....I used a fixed deposit and I applied as a business owner (partnership to be precise). I had to show proof of business with proof of work done, receipts, pictures and written notes from clients, I turned in our company account bank statement as well. The Adr was for me to provide tax clearance certificates for the companies. This is just to say, self employed have no issues with express entry as long as you can prove the legitimacy of your business..... Euanb: ....POF- Submitted reference letter in CIC format, FD certificate and gift deed for 25% of the POF. POF was really high for single applicant. The gift was from a friend and I was really worried because all the gift deeds I had seen on different forums were from family members but as the gift was genuine, my friend simply wrote a letter explaining why he gave it which I attached to my application. For those interested, GTBank does reference in CIC format for savings account but could take a week or so depending on your account officer and if the people at the branch know what they are doing..... Sezbaby: .....We changed our passports during the process, i.e. different passports for EE and PR application. Wifey even changed her name from maiden to married. We explained in LOE and no issues. I changed NOCS between EE and PR application (after ITA). Again, no issues, just explain with LOE and you should be fine.... bigfido: ...For the ADR I got, I was asked for additional proof of employment for myself employed work. The requested for contract documents, photos, tax returns etc. I was also asked to provide detailed explanation why a certain company was always depositing money into my account.... ladyAy: ....I'm a self employed pharmacist and am the primary applicant so it wasn't a smooth sail at all as there were many grey areas regarding proof of employment and funds. For proof of employment We submitted CAC documents, all my annual licenses( both personal and for my pharmacy for the last 4years) PAYE tax receipts for my employees and myself, no letter of explanation (wasn't a good idea at all)..........The officer that reviewed my application in the CIO stated that I had not met eligibility requirements because of my NOC..., that i didnt give evidence of documentation from 3rd party individuals indicating nature of work done ..blah blah blah.
Honestly I don't know where and how I got the strength cos at this point was tired. Anyways we put all we could together I.e receipts from some suppliers, snap shots of emails, snapshots of our social media pages and websites, the contract from my security company etc. Then I wrote a comprehensive LOE...... Lucious477: ...1. My POF = T-Bills(3months) + Generic Bank Ref Letter + 6months SOA + Gift of deed (100% amount from direct family). My total POF is in the T-Bills, explained this in my LOE....... 5. My spouse hasn't officially changed her name so I submitted our application with her maiden name. Our marriage certificate was enough proof I guess..... Ambidextrause: ...At first, my application was refused.... after 134 days of agonizing wait!...Meanwhile, a spike in FOREX rates around early August 2017 had relegated my POF below the LICO by 330CAD....That night, I drafted another email - this time stating my utter displeasure and showing the unfairness in the refusal decision - and I sent it directly to the minister!.....The next day, I saw a notification, my application had been reopened. I was asked to pay the 490CAD RPRF..... ...3 days later, I got PPR! GlitteringStar: ....I used my one-year NYSC work experience only... I submitted the work experience letter in CIC’s format and attached the bank statement of my salary account (when I was serving) to show the amount I was paid..... Nozzle: ...Dec 6 got a letter of refusal for pof issue (shared my story on page 66) Dec 7 wrote to cpc and raised a CSE Dec 8 started new app Dec 9 submitted new app CRS 459, waiting for ITA Dec 10 sent another mail to CPC & raised another CSE on old app issue Dec 14 got update on old app...refusal was reversed Dec 15 rprf request Dec 15 NA2 Dec 17 paid rprf Dec 18 IP2 Dec 19 withdrew the new app. Dec 22 PPR.... |

Nazor83: @ gistwivkome: I want to request for a remark only for now. I can afford to retake but I strongly believe I deserve something better because I finished the writing (letter & Essay), counted my words and made sure they were up to 150 & 250 for WT1 & WT2. I applied all needed techniques so am just curious why a 6. If you are confident you did a good job, you definitely should request a remark. From my experience, I wouldn't really trust their examiners to deliver a good assessment. |

JustinTrudeau: Hi Compatriots.
Glad to write on this platform again.
Just checked the draws for today i must say i really need an MFM church to attend with my 435 score as Canadianfly advised. In view of this,i'm no longer experimenting,i'm ready to boost my scores with my ICAN ATS. There was a fellow that got positive evaluation recently from WES for ICAN ATS and shared his testimony here.I-ve searched to no avail, can someone please help me with the post.I need to start this process immediately and claim my 468 score. It's long overdue.
Your PM PM, I don't think you need to see the post for confirmation. Just get your ATS transcripts to WES. It'll be evaluated as a one-year college level certificate and that should earn you additional points under "Two or more certificates". |

I need advice please. Is it allowed for a family to have two applications in the EE pool, one with husband as primary applicant (PA) and the other with wife as PA? Both with each other as accompanying party.
Thanks. Yes. There are peeps who have done that in here. You cancel the other if one goes through. But why not just put the one with the max score in there instead? |

Kemolin44: I want to sincerely appreciate every one for their various comment on this trend. Please I really dont know if this question have been asked before.
Question:.I would want to know if my COREN cert. as a certified Engineer can be sent to WES along side with my M.ENG for evaluation ? If yes will it earn me points? I read from this trend that ICAN ACA can evaluated and I also confirm that MDCN can also be done. Except you have a PhD, your Masters should earn you enough points. I don't think WES positively evaluates COREN cert. |

Inception12: Good morning good people. So WES completed my ECA but they didnt include my ACCA advanced diploma. They sent me email saying the evaluation was already ongoing and they couldnt modify it at the time i sent my request. So i've already entered the pool at 438.
I want to modify the ECA by adding the ACCA advanced diploma(for finishing F1 to F9) which would take my score to 478. But before i pay the $100 for the new evaluation, i need someone to help me confirm whether they have ever received a positive evaluation based on the ACCA diploma, instead of the full ACCA. I sent them an email and tweet inquiring about the same but they keep sending me automated replies. I'm pretty sure you'd get a positive evaluation for any completed stage of ACCA (ranges from one-year college diploma to Bachelor's degree). There are a few people on this thread who got positive evaluation. |

kaypompee: Hello House,
Sorry if this is a question already asked, but i would like to know, how does IRCC go about verifying stated work experience? Do they mostly call the company or do they make on site visits. And are there instances where they dont bother to do any.
Eagerly awaiting replies. Thanks !! If they do go about verifying stated work experience, usually they do a couple of "investigative" things like: sending an email to your HR to confirm your employment status with the mentioned company or they look you up on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. I think they may also call your company to find out; that's one reason they want you to put contact details in the work experience letter. I don't think they ever make on-site visits. Can't be sure tho. Other times, I'm pretty sure they check for consistency in your work details by comparing it with info in their extensive database. For instance, if someone claims that he works in A&B coy and provides a letter to back this up, they may check with another letter they already have from another applicant (and have probably confirmed already) from A&B coy. Obviously, if the latter differs significantly from the former, then they know they have something weird going on. You get? Basically, it's a couple of "investigative" things they do. |

amdman: People that adding spouse as accompanying is severely affecting their points can actually consider going alone and sponsoring their spouse subsequently. They would then have the following options
OPTION A 1. PA lands in Canada 2. Files for spouse sponsorship (no specified time restrictions) 3. Application is granted within 1yr.
OPTION B 1. PA lands in Canada 2. Files for spouse sponsorship 3. Spouse goes over to Canada on a visit visa 4. Spouse applies for extension of visit visa and open work permit pending when sponsor application is granted. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1163&top=17
The above is sweetened by the fact that for sponsoring spouse, it is not required for the sponsor to show that he is earning a robust income in Canada.
Contributions and critique of the above options required please. A friend who has lived in Canad for years told me Option B is often the preferred one for informed individuals. |
