askofemma: Lovely evening people! Thanks for the great work Still on the POF matter, please I have few clarification 1: is it compulsory to attached the bank reference letter with your SOA or just the letter for the period under review 2: for T-Bills, do I need to liquidate it into the account or just the certificate is enough for same period under review
Thanks I don't get your first question. For your second question, your Tbills certificate is usually enough. |

I got a lump sum of money from some1 to be used as POF.. Now I am thinking to just fix it in t-bills and use the t-bills certificate as proof. Now my questions are: 1. If I use t-bills certificate. do I still need to get a letter from the bank?.. considering the fact that the money is invested with CBN You don't need to. However, the idea of the letter is to reveal your financial situation including debts, loans and all. So it's not just about proving that you have the required funds. You get? If you could, you might just wanna get the letter and add it. 2. My believe is that t-bills certificate will not show if the money has been with me 6 months b4 now.... so do I still need to write LOE to explain how I got the money? You don't have to write LOE. But it helps to be truthful, so you might wanna add a gift deed from the person who gave the money to you. 3. What other documents am I required to provide in addition to the t-bill certificate 6 or 3mnths Statement of Account. Gift deed, perhaps. Check here |

vickyehi: I have been following this thread for a while now and so far i haven't seen any refusals for express entry. Please elders in the house that have been following the thread before part 3 have there been any case of refusal in previous parts? A collection of rejection cases on NairalandThough we don't get many of this (for good reason!), there have been a few cases of rejection here on nairaland. I managed to collect a few. If you are aware of more cases, point them my way and I'll include them here.
At least one person was rejected because CIC erroneously ignored his POF details. The major funds were in his domiciliary account which CIC did not pay attention to. This made them issue him a rejection. He wrote them an email and this was eventually corrected. They issued him PPR shortly after. Suggestion: Ensure to put together a cover page listing your POF details or breakdown, if you are using more than one sources for POF.
Another person was rejected because he/she "murked up the PCC." The UK Police Report was outdated. "The police report I sent for my time in the UK was dated before I stopped living there and as such my application was thrown out." Suggestion: Get your POF right.
Someone shared a story of two guys whose applications were rejected for POF-related reasons. Even though these guys met the POF requirement, their lump sum deposits were perhaps frowned at. Note that there is no proof to this story; someone merely shared it. Suggestion: Perhaps avoid lump sums
Someone also related the story of a couple rejected for FBI PCC even though LOEs were attached. Further investigation revealed LOEs were attached in additional documents placeholder and not under PCC placeholder.
A Nairalander was once rejected because CIC did not see the valid biodata page. Both the expired and valid biodata pages were uploaded. The valid one was probably not spotted by the case officer and this led to outright rejection. Suggestion: Upload only valid biodata page.
Another person threatened with rejection for POF-related issues. POF incomplete
Someone relates story of a rejection due to wrongly stated family composition. Person "added a child and also the post ITA marriage certificate. the refusal was because from the date of the certificate, the only dependent should have been the spouse, meaning she lied pre ITA about her dependents"
At least one person was rejected for NOC mismatch. "The NOC I based my application on did not have a good match with the employment letter I submitted hence the refusal."
Another was initially refused based on "insufficient funds". |

Dunno if I should go back to request for another one..its a seal stamped that was used.. Not the ink pad type,...thanks As long as you haven't violated any of CIC specs, I don't think you should be worried. Double stamping doesn't violate their specs. In fact, double stamping = double authentication, right? |

Zutlin: Hello house,
Please does anyone know the process involved in getting the bank reference letter stating account closing (as per IRCC standard) from GTBANK? I was told to get in touch with my account officer because they don't usually issue such.
Thanks. I got in touch with my account officer in order to get this done. He finished it at his end and had it scanned to me. He did mention that I needed to have a current account before they could process it successfully. |

I would believe, yes. As long as WES states it under "Canadian Equivalency", you should be able to. My brother has his application in process now and is claiming "two or more certificates" with an additional college-level 1-yr certificate. I'll share the outcome here when he gets his PPR |

Please just a quick question.
- Where you specifically asked to fill a SCHEDULE A form? This is because I was not asked to.
- Do you advice I fill a SCHEDULE A form in the light of the fact that I was asked to give details about residency, occupation/studies, travel, e.t.c? -Yes, I was specifically requested to fill a Schedule A form. -Since you are not asked to, I don't see why you should. Perhaps you could do what they asked first and then as an addition fill a Schedule A form. |

jm13: Hello Everyone,
I am a website developer and have my own business (The Managing Director) over 5 years, I wanted to know which NOC do I fall under:
1. NOC code: 2175 Web designers and developers OR NOC code: 0114 for managing directors.
2. Also in my EE profile do I select "Self Employed" OR "Employer"
Thanks. I'd guess it's better you go for 0114, if you have all the docs you'd need. |

JESUSisable: URGENT PLSS Hi my efam, congrats to all ITA recepients. Pls my people I need urgent responses. I woke up this morning to this ADR mail below from CIC asking for info about my spouse. I filled all this info when I was filling his personal history because I am the principal applicant, but am being requested to provide these details again; My questions are-
1) Am I meant to fill these details in an LOE? This is because an LOE placeholder titled 'Replacement Needed' appeared in my Optional Documents section. I'm not sure there's any specific way for you to do this, as long as they haven't referreda specific form (like IMM5669, e.g.). So, you could use the placeholder. Type out a LOE and make a table that looks like that under personal history in the form here ( https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669e.pdf). Then make sure to sign at the end of it. 2)The portion of the mail I highlighted red says "IF YOU WERE NOT WORKING"! Does this refer to me or my spouse and am i required to provide this info for my self also? They were most likely referring to your spouse still, it's just the language. 3)My spouse has been working in his current job from AUG 2010- till date, while he was unemployed from 2009 July-2010 July. This was what I filled in my application. My question is, is there other way CIC wants me to breakdown this information? He has no travel history. Fill in exactly the things he was doing at that time period. If you had done so earlier and you were detailed, just repeat the same thing. I was also requested to resupply some of the info I had supplied. All I did was fill in the exact same things. |

stonecoldcafe: A while back, i asked if different NOC'S (gained within the past 10 years and falling under 0, A or B) could be combined to get maximum points for FSW application. No one responded to me at that point. I read the FAQ online but i was skeptical and unsure of the interpretation of what i read. You see, i always believed that it had to be work experience gained in the same profession and not different NOC. So i kept calculating my points using my current 2 years of work experience.
I decided to tweet at CIC to clear any doubt and the answer was positive for me. After i got the all clear tweet from CIC that this was acceptable to use different NOCS, i was excited. I quickly added another experience (just a year) i had which fell under NOC A and voila my score increased from 420 something to the mid 440. Based on this, i was invited yesterday. ITA abi?
Well this NOC A work experience makes me worried a bit. It has no fixed job title that fits into the NOC list but i have tried my hardest to go through the entire NOC list and choose one based on the work i did at that time. I spoke to one or two people here to get their thoughts on it as well. My former employers (in the UK) are somewhat funny people and i cant count much on their cooperation to send the reference letter as specified by CIC. Sha I have my bank accounts showing payments made for the period, pay slips (thank God for this) et al. Yet i just keep thinking about the NOC I've gone for. Keep thinking its not perfect enough, not as crystal clear enough as my NOC with my current job. Phewwwwwwwwwwwww... Who has ever felt this worried about a job description and matching it with an NOC?
Let me shut down and just go home. I'm tired! Check this out. It may help you get a clearer picture. |
