abeolas: Hello everyone, i want to confirm how much it will cost and the duration (how many months) to process
express entry.
Thank you From about 1.5 months to 9-10 months. Depends. Some people have gotten it in about a month, while some have had to wait several months (more than 7-8 ). Check here for the cost of undertaking this Trudeauesque project. 40manlappy compiled it already. |

Wura27: @yooku Yes, it is a job with a different company. Same job function as the one in Naija but a completely different company.
Like working as an IS Consultant with KPMG Naija and getting a job as an IS Consultant with PWC Canada. This is just an example. Do you think the fact that she has a PR already before applying played a role? Or did they just hire her right off the bat? |

The guys in PH will end up doing it at Alagbon for you, only at a higher cost to your pocket. They have their means. Nope, I got mine in Lagos. But I have also gotten a number of PCCs for other purposes at Moscow Road in the past. |

Wura27: There are different people in this group. There are the pessimists, the supposed realists and the optimists.
A friend of mine who got PR form express entry just got a really good job in Ontario and she hasn't even landed! She doesn't have any foreign experience and no foreign education. She works with a "multinational" in Naija.
I would soon post my story too! With God all things are possible.
I choose to be among the optimists. Which one are you? Nice. I'm an optimist. Just curious. Why is multinational in quote? |

Kontagious: I wondered, but then you even put date join like say thing was a sure bet. The more closer the draws to each other, the more likely points are to drop. So I was already getting happy for us in the waiting. Na 13, we know it's gonna be a Wednesday. Most likely. All na guess work. Anyways, I hope it happens next week so many more people can get ITA. The sooner, the better. Meanwhile, congrats to all PPR recipients. I can only imagine how people's stories will evolve looking 600 pages ahead on this thread. |

Raconteur14: Bros, I no gree o. It has to be next week Wednesday, September 13. A befitting birthday gift for me the next day. I went through the trend of ITAs issued and it supports this. For the months that have had three draws(Jan, April and August) with May being the exception, the second draw is usually one week after the first draw.
So I am hopeful for next week.
cc @Kontagious Yes you are right. It kinda fits the pattern. Let's see. Next week or next two weeks. But if they do next week, then it looks very certain that you'll get ITA, cos the score could go below 430. |

Can one do medicals in another country that is not your resident country? I should believe this is possible and shouldn't complicate one's application. Am I correct to think this? |

I don't mind having to split the bill once in a while or even contribute but i'm a lady that's used to certain tastes. My family isn't Dangote rich but we're doing quite well, and i'd like to continue living that life or at least not drop too far below. What do you guys think? Do I keep looking for these 'almost/made guys'(can anyone tell me where to find them? lol) or do I settle for a struggler. "Once in a while or even contribute"? Nah! When you are ready to split the bill equally with me, then I'm game. I'm actually looking for a woman like you. |

A medical doctor , 30yrs old with 4yrs plus experience, no siblings in canada. i have done ECA awaiting ielts result (but hoping for at least 8777). husband hasnt done ECA nor ielts . pls can i be eligible. help pls Yes, you can be eligible. Pretty much anyone can be eligible. If you get your husband to evaluate his Bsc(?) and to ace IELTS (8777), you can get a high enough score to get ITA. You just need to make sure to ace IELTS (not 8777, but 8.5,7.5,8,7.5 in L,S,R,W) |

Nice. Not a bad idea to try. If they don't give you express entry, they'll refund you anyways. |

jideflows: thanks... please i have a little Problem.. I want to apply for transcript and the age on my transcript is different from the one on my International passport please what do i do? thanks.. Very tricky. You have three options: 1. This is not a very honest option, but I'll say it anyways for the sake of the Canada dream. Try get in touch with someone in your school and convince the person to help "adjust" your age on the transcript before sending it out for evaluation. You may have to offer a very good bargain in order to achieve this. There must be at least one official in there who can help with this. This is your best option. 2. In case the above does not work, wait for WES to conclude its evaluation. Then send WES a DoB certificate with your new age and impress upon them that your school made a mistake which they are not willing to correct. Affirm that this is your new DoB and you would like it corrected on your ECA. It may not work though. This is your other option. 3. In case it doesn't work, your final option is to submit your application like that. Then include a LOE explaining the discrepancy in your DoB and stating which of the DoB is valid. Back this up with an affidavit and your DoB certificate. Back it up with other documents that may confirm your story. And then cross your fingers. This is your final option. It's my personal opinion that CIC is more likely interested in the DoB on your international passport, cos that's where they pull your biodata. I don't think they'll necessarily obsess with the DoB on your ECA. Not sure about this though. I may be wrong. |
