This is the more reason why one needs to be sure, because the thing is quite confusing. Honestly

Waiting anxiously for the gurus, 40manlappy, Mummyjaygirls, Cochtrane and the likes to shed more light
I didn't get this option during my evaluation. But I think it should be IRCC application, cos WES keep referring to IRCC application on their website. Others can put mouth.

The latest info we got on this thread is that the issue has been resolved. Some guys here from uniport have completed their evaluation with WES. If you want me to pull up the details for you, I could.

MY QUESTION >> I plan to only evaluate my wife's OND for ECA (although she has a B.Sc.), but she will not be writing the IELTS exam. Is it compulsory for her to do both, that is ECA and IELTS or can she do only the ECA?

My reason for the OND ECA is to get more points in the CRS.
Yes you can evaluate only the OND. But why don't you evaluate both so you can get more points? Except of course it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for you to get those BSc transcripts for her university. With the OND and BSc, you get more points.

IELTS is not compulsory for spouse. Some persons here have completed their applications without spouse IELTS. I could pull that out for you if you want.

Anyone out there. Kindly assist if you did.

Why do you need it? Many didn't even consider it. There are many highways to IELTS criss-crossing the internet. You can take any of these to an incredible IELTS score. Perhaps you should explore them. Check here

Hi All, Please how does one send her Certificate to WES? Is it absolutely necessary after your school has sent off your transcript?
Yes, it is necessary. That's what they've asked for.
Guys have been faxing a copy of their certificate to WES lately. You could do that. Use hellofax.com
If you have money to burn, send a copy with courier to their address.

Hey koonlay5, don't you think 4423 is more suited? 0431 specifically refers to police officers. I think FRSC is quite a distance from a police force. Under the titles for 4423, road transport officer is listed. Unfortunately 4423 is a C

Hello guys, Please kindly Clarify.
My spouse worked on a full time job with an international conglomerate between Feb 9 2015 and May 31 2017 (2years 3months) 45 hours a week (ALL STATED ON HER WORK EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE) against the 30 hours a week recognized by IRCC.
30hr X 52 weeks/yr = 1560hours/yr
45hr X 52 weeks/yr = 2340hours/yr
2years 3months = 5720hours
5720hours/ 1560hours= 3.67years
Relative to 1560hours by IRCC,Will this count as 3 years?
Quit the mental gymnastics!
It says "at least 30 hours over a period of one week", so "more hours" don't pass.

okay, will explore this option, although only one of them has a registered company.

i would have loved to wait at my current employment to accumulate this outstanding 8 months afresh, but i could have PPR by then,if i go in now
Do the 8 months have appreciable impact on your CRS score? Perhaps you could get ITA without those 8 months.

thanks for your response, i think i wasnt clear enough, of the 37 months, i did freelance for 8 months as i have since moved on to get fully documented contracts. the 3 consultants employed me for one project spanning over the 8 months period and paid me accordinggly from their personal accounts
Okay. So do they have registered companies? Can they "employ" you for those 8 months? Perhaps at different times within those 8 months? And then provide you with some employment reference as an "employee", not as a freelancer.

After creating your express entry profile, can you still ask for a remark for your ielts?
Not advisable. You could probably do it, but should you get ITA you can't use the score. Requesting a remark on your IELTS means your scores are frozen and cannot be used for immigration or study purposes.

anybody please
This is a very tricky one. Though you might have been self-employed during this period, you can't claim points for it since you didn't have a company as at then. To IRCC, this is just your personal history, not employment history. Given the info you've shared, I don't think you can claim points with this.

However, you might have an out. Why don't you speak to these three consultants and suggest that one of them consider you an employee during a good part of that 37-month period, during which you worked with them. Of the three, one of them should at least be able to offer you something as a means of assistance. She could offer you a back-dated job letter and then a reference letter which you can present to CIC. Of course, you also have to let her know your plans so that if they tried to contact her, she'll confirm your "employment".

Besides this, I don't think you have a lot of options. Of course, make sure you identify the proper NOC before requesting a letter from any of the consultants.

I have searched my NOC based on my profession here in Nigeria. I am an optometrist, meaning I will have
to write the board exam in Canada before I can practice over
there. so I think it is unlikely I will get an optometry job offer from Canada. Can I get a job offer outside my profession?
and will it be used to calculate my score?
If you mean getting a job to boost your CRS score, I'd say to hold off on that as your last resort. It's not an easy thing nicking a job in sunshine Canada from faraway Nigeria, except of course your employer here is transferring you.

Focus on other factors like IELTS or PNP to improve your score.

I know. I am studying and practicing . But are there specific study materials for reading ?
The best advice I'll give you concerning reading is that the questions are almost always paraphrases in the original comprehension. If you understand this concept, you'll get a 9 in reading. Use that concept to practice. The reading is the easiest to get a 9 in, cos all the answers are staring you right in the face.

Don't mind all these people on NL who do not know the difference between a rook and a pawn. Femi cannot even draw against Carlsen
They think it's basketball against Mali or football against Cameroon. This is chess, a fairly predictable game, so predictable computers have mastered all the art and dynamics. He won't even see Carlsen's moves coming if he stands at the top of the Empire State building.

There's still even a debate out about who's better between Carlsen and young Kasparov at Carlsen's present age. And na that one some IM elect Nigerian guy wants to win? Not now, not yet.

He can't win. He simply can't win. Not against Carlsen. Carlsen is not world champion undefeated for no reason. An IM elect does not win a champion who has eclipsed Kasparov's rating.

Please I have a question of i applied for express entry as a single only to get married after my ITA comes out does it affect anything. And what do I need to back things up. Do my spouse have to start getting an ECA and IELTS at that point.
Yes it affects your application. You need to use the CRS tool and recalculate your points. If it falls below ITA score, then you can't apply. If you do, your application will be rejected.
Your spouse needs to get ECA and IELTS sorted.

Guys, do we have anyone that claimed point for self employed work history? What were the documents you submitted? I have contract documents, bank statements, invoices, receipts, tax documents and article of memorandum of the company. I own it. Is there any other thing I am to include? I have work history that covers 6 years for paid employment 2008-2013..i believe this would suffice, but I already filled self employment for 2013-present.
Why don't you just go with only your work experience and put the self-employment under personal history, so you can avoid submitting all these detailed documents for it?

Guys, I am asking on behalf of a friend, can a certificate like this be evaluated by WES? The person has about 3 of them
I don't think so. That's a course certificate, not a diploma or degree. If he has done many of such towards a diploma, he may be able to lay a claim to the Iron Throne of multiple credentials.
