mmrius: How true is it that one's application can be denied if he or she does not have travel experience?
How many countries does one need to travel to, before they can be considered to have travel experience? Story. Millions of people hadn't even stepped into a plane before they got PPR |

geebaby10: When you raise a CSE do they always send an ADR? So I know whether to raise another CSE or just wait for the ADR and attach both.
Please help answer this ohhhh.
Thanksssss Sometimes yes. Sometimes not. Just wait patiently. You may receive an email that it's been added already and there will be no need for ADR. |

lovetree: Hello house. How is everyone doing. May our dreams come true. Please I need your experienced input on this. My husband and I are planning to apply for FSW but we don't know who the principal applicant should be. We both plan to write IELTS and have our WES evaluation .We both have a B.Sc as our highest qualification, He studied Electrical Engineering and works in that line with over 5 years working experience. I studied Microbiology but work as a customer service rep with 3 years working experience in one of the telecom companies. I'll be 30 next year and my husband will be 37. I'm thinking of applying since I can get more points with my age but I'm worried my NOC will affect our points. His own line of work is in NOC B while my own is not even considered for FSW as I cant find it under NOC A,B or O for FSW. Thank you for your anticipated responses. Have you checked out this NOC: 2282 User support technicians. It's a B. Does that apply to you? |

geebaby10: Hi. I just saw this No.2 for the first time. I did not upload my ECA. I am currently on NA2. Please how do I send the ECA to CIC to avoid rejection? Frankly, it shouldn't be a problem. IRCC says on its website that it's not required to upload a scan copy of ECA. But some people have also been rejected for not uploading ECA. Talk about confusion! If they need it, the usual thing is to request it. What can do you do? Use the web form to submit additional docs, if you wanna ease your worry. |

Justiyke4u: the duties are substantially the same with the primary NOC except going to court and the reference letter titles it as a counsel As your reference letter now carries a different role. It makes it a bit tricky. Does it affect your eligibility or score if you take out these 5 months? I would wanna be careful using it. Perhaps those who have experience in this regard can contribute. NOC misrepresentation has a high chance of knocking off your application. |

contra: Good morning guys,
Thanks to all the people making valuable contributions on this thread and past threads. God bless you all.
I am new and would like to know how to commence my application. In respect to academic conversion, I have ND(Auchi poly), ICAN-ATS, BSC (Uniben), ICAN-ACA & CISA, I would like to know what credentials I need to send for conversion. Secondly, I don't know what institution to use - WES or IQAS. I have read some thing about these bodies but I've not been able to agree on the best.
A prompt assistance will be highly appreciated.
Thank you. If you use WES, your ND+ATS+BSC will be evaluated as "Two or more certificates", earning you more points than a bachelor's. For the same WES, your ICAN will be evaluated, recognised, but will not add your scores and will not be evaluated as a professional degree. CISA will also not earn you any points, if evaluated by WES. For IQAS, I can't say. But I guess could be same thing. |

Justiyke4u: you can actually do some chamber works before being called to the bar like legal research, legal opinions, interviewing clients, drafting etc But only afterwards (bar) do you become a lawyer? right? If that's the case, I don't think you can use those 5 months. You need the claimed number of years of experience in your primary NOC. |

yimiton: No, you'll be required to provide the date of the ECA result as well as a reference number. You can come up with the reference number but definitely not the date of the result, so, the best thing is to wait for the result before you enter the pool. Yes you are correct. But I said "it was possible, but not advisable". It is indeed possible, and someone has done it before only to find himself in a fix. Because of cos they have to estimate the date. https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/556#57637623 |

Ehrnie: I think it's worth sharing this info on this new thread. I've had a lot of people ask about the stages -
Stages in Canadian PR journey
1st the profile 2nd is ITA 3rd is AOR 4th medicals 5th background 6th ppr 7th COPR 8th landing 9th pr card =======================
These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants in EE will see against Background check in My CIC.
IP1 -------- IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office)
NA --------- This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.
IP2 -------- This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office.
It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status |

atigro: Am confused! Whats the difference between EE and FSW? EE is the route through which you get FSW. I'm guessing you are applying to go to Canada as a skilled worker. People also go for skilled trade and experience class. Everyone goes through express entry where they are all pooled together. By getting a CRS score above the specified cut-off you then apply as a skilled worker under FSW where you must meet the requisite 67 |

Hephgirl: Oh really... How many points for 5 and how many points for 6.. Was thinking of discarding one year from a previous work place... For hubby... Always thought it's 3 You know, FSW is not ranked. So you only need enough selection factors to give you 67. Once you get 67 you are fine. If you have 67 already, with only 3 years experience, then you are good. It's express entry that is ranked. But experience maxes out at 3, which means if you have 2 years it's not good enough. You get? |

Bimpsy99: Thanks for this. I have modified the post. I just needed a practical experience and not just grammar interpretation. Thanks for the note on ATS. So why won't ICAN qualify if ATS which is it's baby would Just wondering.
interpreting wordings like laywer Well, it made me wonder too. But I have seen at least two cases where ATS was evaluated as one-year college level diploma. My guess is that they do not want to evaluate ICAN as a professional certificate since that could automatically guarantee that ICAN graduates would be able to practice in Canada. Maybe. But I have also talked to some ICAN guys who wrote ATS and they confirmed it's some sort of technician diploma. They don't appear surprised it's evaluated as such. I think someone else needs to come confirm this. |

behati: 3 years actually for maximum crs score in respect of work experience. Yes, 3 years for max CRS score. But since you are applying under the FSW scheme. If you have 6 years, you get more points to get up to the required 67. So, 3 years is good. But 6 years is better.
