When creating the express entry profile, is it important to add all my work experience or just the experience I am using to claim points?
Thanks If the work experience you have is 6 years and is sufficient for your NOC, then you should leave it at that. It doesn't fetch you any more points providing additional work experience. In other words, enter just enough to give you 6 years that matches your chosen NOC. |

Nevertheless, I think the information is quite explicit on CIC's website. One only need interpret it correctly. Just for the records: Bsc+ATS from ICAN is also evaluated as two or more certificates, with ATS evaluated as one-year college diploma. If anyone has ATS from ICAN, please ensure to include it in your WES application in order to get maximum points for your credentials. Can't say for ICAS or IQAS. |

All about "GIFT DEEDS" What is a gift deed? You don't have enough money for Proof of Funds and you would have a relation or friend post a bulk sum into your account to cover your proof of funds. You then do a gift deed to somehow "legalize" this transaction so that it doesn't raise eyebrows. This is so your application stands in good shape.
Firstly, you should do a gift deed only if you feel comfortable doing it. IRCC has not explicity required that applicants do a gift deed. It's not present on their website. However, there is evidence to believe some have done gift deeds and successfully obtained their PR. My guess is that the Visa Officers evaluated each application on its own merit. Therefore, how you package your gift deed in your overall application is more likely to have an effect on how successfully it is evaluated. As far as I can tell, the gift deed idea evolved from the canadavisa site into Nairaland. Nairalanders embraced it and some have used it successfully.
How does a gift deed work? A friend, family member, etc, sends a bulk amount into your account before you obtain your statement of account. Then you have to draft some sort of "explanation" attributable to this person which effectively assures the VO that the money has been gifted to you for valid reasons.
Can anyone provide you a gift deed or just family members? https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/162#48166112
Check these links, you'll get the mixed feelings about this famous "deed gift" thing.: https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/677#58780700 https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/552#57598715 https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/683#58809082
And for at least one person, a bulk of the money entered into her account without a gift deed. No explanations, lol: https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/736#59214871

Finally, it is unlikely you will find any 100% conviction from anyone to use a gift deed. So, don't start asking the question to death. Use it after you have assessed all these collated opinions above and you become convinced yourself.
Are there alternatives? Yes! You can get the money and put it into some fixed deposit investment, then present the FD. Similarly, you can use it for treasury bills or mutual funds, etc. In summary, there are options. The decision lies with you.
Good luck |

Bimpsy99: Interpreting the ECA result
Kindly refer to the attached for the interpretation of ECA result. Please note the word 'post graduate', 'graduate certificate'. This means that ND+BSC do not qualify for two or more certificates. as the ND would be assessed as a two year diploma. However dual bachelors degree (four years each) qualifies. I have some concerns this information is not correct. Have you found anyone that did not earn points for ND+Bsc? I did my own research and I did find at least two people who earned points for pre-Bsc ND + Bsc. I think the mistake comes from misinterpreting the information posted on CIC's website regarding interpreting ECAs. In this my post, I posted the details surrounding this https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/784#59443268In interpreting the ECA result, the summary given by WES right after "Canadian Equivalency" should give an idea regarding how to interpret your ECA. |

For those who will be applying shortly, these are some of the reasons they could reject your application https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/305#54181386Dear Friends,
According to forum topic I found that we are discussing and sharing a lot of other stuff with each other. Its not bad but we must also keep focusing on possible reasons of rejection before application as well as during the processing time. I start creating a list of reported reasons of rejections you can add more reasons in it or just send me new reasons in inbox to create a useful database.
1. Job not specified as full time and permanent employment 2. Failure to upload ECA (even though it does not ask for it on the upload page) 3. Passport scan missing or incomplete. 4. Missing Proof of Education. 5. Missing original PCC. 6. Incorrect NOC 7. Duties Mismatch 8. Submitting PCCs with specific addresses mentioned 9. Not providing "certified true" transcripts for Canadian degree/diploma 10. POF less than LICO |

Is it possible for me to enter the pool with Ielts result and update my ECA when its ready? will I be accepted into the pool? please my gurus in the house help me out with this question please. It's possible, but not advisable. Are you evaluating with WES? Then you can form your ECA number from your reference number and put it what you expect to be evaluated for. Good job to everyone opening this new thread. PPR to fall on everyone desiring it. |

POST ITA PROCESS
For those who are waiting for ITA, check the following and prepare the necessary documents.
After you receive ITA, once you log in to your Express Entry profile, you will have two buttons - Continue Application - Decline Invitation
Note: You will have 60 days to submit your PR application electronically with all supporting documents. 60 days start from the day you get ITA, if you feel that you will not be able to arrange all the documents in 60 days, you can decline the ITA anytime before the expiry of 60 days and you will be back in the pool. In case you decline your ITA, then you will be eligible to be invited again provided you meet the CRS cut-off requirement.
Once you click Continue Application, you will be taken to pages similar to your Express Entry forms that you filled up. This page would have all the information carried forward from your Express Entry profile and additionally you also need to fill up Address History, Personal History and Travel History for each member listed in the application.
DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
Post completion of each section, the system would generate a personal document checklist based on the information submitted by you in the previous pages. A sample document checklist for a family of two (FSW) without any Canadian relatives would look like something below.
Supporting Documents for Primary Applicant Details Document Name Instructions Options Not Provided Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple) (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Marriage License/Certificate (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Proof of medical exam (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Education (diplomas/degrees) (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Employment Records 1 (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Employment Records 2 (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Employment Records 3 (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Police Certificates (Multiple) (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Proof of Means of Financial Support (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Digital photo (required) instructions Upload file Not Provided Letter of Explanation (optional) instructions Upload file

FEE PAYMENT
Once you have uploaded the documents, you have the option to make payment and submit your eAPR. Post ITA after clicking Continue, you will be asked whether you want to pay RPRF upfront, in case you have mentioned Yes and later want to modify it, you can do so by going to Modify Family Information which you can find in the menu bar.
Permanent Resident Application Fee: CAD 550 per applicant Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF): CAD 490 per applicant
You can make payment using credit card and debit cards provided international transactions are allowed on your card. Contact your bank to check the same. MasterCard, Visa and Amex cards are accepted. Ensure that your bank has not put any transaction limit, contact your bank before using your card for payment. In case you do not have suffcient balance or credit limit, you can use your family member's or friend's card as CIC has no restriction on the same.
You will get Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) immediately after you make the payment.
THINGS TO NOTE
Police Certificate - If you already have nomination do not wait for ITA, apply for police certificate soon. For countries that you have already left, in case you do not have the police certificate, initiate the process for the same as well as some countries take time to issue you a police certificate.
Medicals - CIC has a list of empaneled clinics/hospitals where you need to get medical tests done. Check this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx. The following basic tests and checks are carried out (If you have had any or have any medical conditions, you need to let them know and also carry any medical records that you have) 1. Blood 2. Urine 3. Chest X-Ray 4. Eye Sight 5. Blood Pressure 6. Height/Weight 7. Physical examination by physician
You will not be given the results of the tests, the clinic will upload it directly to CIC. You will be given an Acknowledgement Form which you need to upload as proof of medical exam. Please ensure all the information on the Acknowledgment Form is correct as per passport and that the category on your medicals is mentioned as Non-EDE/Worker. If you find any discrepancy, get it corrected then and there itself and get an updated Acknowledgement Form.
Digital Photo - The final frame size of the photo should be at least 35mm x 45mm. The photograph must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders. The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm. The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540. The final size of the image should not be less than 60KB. The file should be submitted in JPEG format.
Reference Letter - For previous employers, the letter obtained after you have left is good enough, unless and until you want to get a fresh letter or want to get the letter updated. For current employer as a rule of the thumb, get a fresh letter if the previous one which you got is older than 6 months. For other questions related to reference letter check this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/nail-the-challenge-of-getting-reference-letter-from-current-employer-t397796.0.html
ECA, IELTS - There is no separate placeholder for IELTS and WES. So you can upload IELTS and WES along with educational documents.
Proof of Funds (POF) - Get latest and updated POF. Ensure you cover as much as information requested by CIC in the Bank Letter/Bank Certificate.
Letter of Explanation(LOE) - Though this is an optional document, please use it to your advantage to explain anything you feel the officer should know or consider while assessing your application.
Provincial Nominees(PNP) - If you are a provincial nominee would suggest you to submit copy of nominaton certificate and Schedule 4 (IMM0008_4E) upfront along with LOE. Though these are not asked for when submitting eAPR, later you will be requested to submit Schedule 4.
Statutory Questions - In case you answer 'Yes' to any Statutory Questions, then explain the reason for the same in LOE and also submit Schedule A (IMM5669E) along with LOE. Though Schedule A is not asked for when submitting eAPR, later you will be requested to submit Schedule A.
Document Size & File Format - All documents should be uploaded as PDF not more than 4MB, except for digital photo which should be in JPEG format and not less than 60KB. For each placeholder, it should be one PDF. If you have multiple pages, merge them into one PDF for each placeholder. If the file size exceeds 4MB, scan the documents with scanner settings at 100 dpi or less but ensure that the files are legible. You can also use online tools like Small PDF to compress, merge and split PDFs etc (https://smallpdf.com/).
Help/Instructions - If you have any doubt about the documents that needs to be uploaded, check the help, blue button (Instructions) next to the Upload File button

Abeg I have one question concerning my application.
I dropped my middle name sometime after university and have not used it since then. That means my middle name is on my transcript, certificate and of course ECA. All docs appearing after uni, like coy docs, bank acc docs after uni, newest passport & ielts etc, don't have this middle name. Is this an issue or non-issue for this Canadian PR thing?
Advise pls. |

My examiner also asked if i've filled it,so also during the screening on the test day.
I wrote my last test 25/05/2017 and i had a low score.I got just 6 in listening.I mustered courage and prepared very well for this one,was very optimistic.Malpractice? ??Never!!! I was even sitting in the front row, right infront of the guy dishing out instructions strictly.August 03 candidate can relate.
I don't know why IELTS can't just trust that people can turn around their scores by studying hard and taking it a second time. IELTS has turned to prayer point now.
I just hope and pray the score will be worth it when they eventually release the results Thanx yemdogg I'm pretty sure your results are good. I found some cases like this reading through this thread. I'll see if I can pull them up. In one particular case, this happened to a couple. |

Kontagious: Considering you can edit any part of your profile post ITA, it is my opinion that answer to your question is Yes. This shouldn't be possible. The results are effectively frozen while you contest them and the British Council specifically says they cannot be used for admissions or immigration. |

Please elders, how do you suggest I resolve this? Option 1: Get a new passport matching the DOB on ECA Option 2: Get in touch with your school, change your DOB on their system and redo your ECA Option 3: fill in the dob on your passport and Write a LOE and explain to the VO why there's such discrepancy.
