funshobabs: Was thinking at a point during ur application one will have to provide a form of ID i.e international passport. But got to the payment page with nothing like that. I guess that means it's not required. I can't remember submitting one. |

Losami: please what delivery option do i choose? the standard (no tracking) or the tracking standard is normal post (NIPOST?), while tracking is via courier (DHL & co). Of course, the latter is faster than the former. |

Canadianfly: Wait oh. What do you mean they don't advise doing doc by doc for university? My profile says doc by doc evaluation for ECA. Please oh I'm confused....explain further. Thanks doc by doc is for immigration. Course by course is typically for universities. If you have done doc by doc for IRCC, then you are fine o, my sister |

t405: hello house.
I just recieved my ITA.
CAN I CHOOSE NOT TO UPLOAD MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE?
Also, my BA certificate has my middle name as Aminatu while all other docs state same middle name as Aminat. Do i need to validate this with something legal? I don't think you need to upload your Birth certificate. It's only required for dependants. But if you must, I don't think you need to validate anything as long as this is the only difference. It's too insignificant to worry about. Just put it under other names. |

Losami: good evening guys, please i have a lot of questions, please just bear with me...how does wes and eca works? i just created a wes account, do i start idcc application or canada application? also about the mailing address, should it be my residential address? then what address do i give my school to send the transcript to? also how do i pay? and when? i mean for wes? lastly how will they send the report to me WES is an institution located in Canada and the US. They help other institutions evaluate educational credentials. After the evaluate the credentials, they produce something called an ECA. The first thing you need to do is create an account on www.wes.org/ca/ that's the Canada offshoot of WES. Then fill everything and input your own mailing address. That's the address WES will send the ECA report to when they are done with the assessment. You will pay on WES website, whether via credit card, your GTB card or Western Union. They will usually send the final report to you by post or courier. Depends on the option you choose. Now, you need to give WES address to your university after you create your account on WES and you have a reference number. You need to include this reference number in a form with your transcript that will go to them. This is the address you'll give to your university to send your transcript. You'll put your reference number in that space provided: WES Reference No. _ _ _ _ _ _ World Education Services Attention: Documentation Center 2 Carlton Street, Suite 1400 Toronto, Ontario M5B 1J3 Canada |

elfmann: If u didn't do it for ECA, it is not ECA. IRCC may reject ur app. Haba. It's still ECA na. He just needs to confirm with an email to WES. |

kissoflife: I tried to apply for conversion and after answering some questions, I read that the Report is valid for IRCC and would only need to order for duplicates for IRCC. I will still send them a mail though to confirm. You should send them an email. They typically don't advise that you do course by course for immigration purposes. Same way they don't advise doing doc by doc for universities. |

Folar2: Pls does any one know if IQAS evaluate OND and BSC as two or more certificate?
I know WES does NOT, please i need clarification so that i can cancel my application with IQAS and check with ICES. this wait with IQAS is killing after one month of sending transcript and no confirmation. WES evaluates OND and BSc as two or more certificates. This has been explained to death here. |

superdoll: 1 month (4 weeks +2days) after transcript deliver to IQAS and yet no acknowledgment. To tink that I still have another 9 to 10 weeks to wait after der confirmation makes me want to start this ECA process afresh with ICES or WES. CRS score will be 446 wen ECA is recieved but after my birthday in sept it will drop to 441. Now I can't afford to have these guys (CIC) draw at higher scores. Seriously praying that the scores temaim low through the rest of the year. Can I really wait till November to get my ECA from IQAS. I am really worried........... I don't think you should be worried. Indications are that, given the current rules and trend, the CRS cut-off will remain as low into the new year. And if there's gonna be rule change, IRCC will provide notice. If I had or I'm gonna have 441 by September I wouldn't be worried at all. Even down to December. |

AnonyNymous: Stop this clickbait nonsense, its really irritating. Is Nairaland a blog? Or a FORUM? Is the main aim of Nairaland just traffic, or do they care about interactive discussion?? They just reminded Nigerians the new process they've set to enter their country through France (which means, its not something that just happened) instead of issuing visa directly and you guys are here with your sensational headline. Its annoying, really. I saw this sh*t on Naij.com yesterday thanks to UC browser but I wasn't surprised because ghats the trash I'm used to from them. But Nairaland, c'mon, you cab dinvetter than this. Abeg preach sense to them. Nonsense clickbait. That's what "news" has been reduced to these days. |

Losami: i intend to.. just wanted to check my chances of getting in I think you should start by evaluating your WES and writing IELTS. By the time you are ready to create a profile, you may have your 3 years experience handy. |

Losami: good morning, i am 23 years old, a female, single with a bsc degree and 2 years experience.when i calculate my crs it was 378. please i need advise please. i know the score is too low. please how do i increase them ? If you get max scores on your IELTS, you should have 416. You are losing more points from experience. If you had 3 years experience, you would have 441. You think you could factor in NYSC, if that's available? if not, then you could probably start your application and hope that by the time you get your docs ready, you are adding one more year of work experience to your portfolio. Even if you became a year older by then, you'd still have 441points, which is good. Of course, that's provided the CRS cut-off stays as low as it has been these past months. |

olu21ola: Hello house, I am preparing to start this process so I have been researching. No. 1 on this post caught my attention. I am a medical doctor and I plan to use my housemanship (internship) and Nysc experience to claim points. These are not permanent or full time employments. I think I have seen some posts where ppl used their Nysc job experience to claim points. Please I need to know my chances as these are the only job experiences I have. I will really appreciate responses. Thank you I'm pretty sure you can use your NYSC. People have done that here successfully. Provided you can get a work reference letter which reflects that the job was on a permanent basis, you shouldn't have a problem. When it comes to work experience, it all comes down to what's in the letter and what the employer has put down for you. |
