It depends on the kind of programs the schools run. If they put in a lot of play time for the kids, then I don't think it's bad. That way the school doubles as both daycare and school for the kids. For parents who live in Nigeria (or other places for that matter) and have to work, there may be no other alternative.

If I were them, I'll just make sure the activities of the centers include plenty of play time because as we all know, healthy mammals play.
Another thing would be rest. If they put the kids to rest too after every few hrs. These are things the school proprietors need to understand and Adher to.

Retardd

Where do I even start explaining to you from?you don't know the 10yr old can't give legal consent?

Ok I won't be hard on you but in case you don't know, the girl and the infant are both victims in this. She's been subjected to molestation hence her replaying it on the boy.

The people to blame are her parents, the slave dealers using her and the people who beat her up instead of interviewing her to find out who aka been molesting her, and that ediot pastor (who I want to strangle BTW)

There's no blame for that child and that baby in any of this. All the blame goes to all the adults who contributed in denying her her childhood and folks like you who don't see child labor as abhorrent. It is because of you and your likes that more people will feel ok using their kids as sources of income, exposing them abuse and perpetuating the cirlckenof damaged kids who grow into damaged adults who damage other kids growing under them.
Use your brain if you have one. Thanks
Ezegozie:
its your post that is so silly because the last time I checked, they didnt force the 10yr old girl to be a maid.
It was with the consent of her parents.
So whose post is now annoying?
Pls stop justifying bad thing.
Child molestation is evil and devilish.
The 10yr old girl is wrong.
If she doesnt wanna stay, she leave rather than damaging the heart of an innocent baby.
I have no baby yet, but when I do, I wont tolerate anyperson molesting him or her.
Try it, and have yourself to be blaimed

I am an adult and even one baby will be work for me. How does a baby take care of other babies? Much less two at a time.

You're so annoying with your silly comment.
.
Ezegozie:
Calm down girl.
Maybe you were not brought up in Nigeria, but you should know that its a normal thing here to have 10-18yrs old girls as maid to help assist in domestic chores while she goes to school.
Its not exploitation,
exploitation happens when she or he is mearnt to over-work or do some certain things beyond her age.

From the passage, she was mearnt to take care of the young twins.
How Is dat a big deal?
how is dat exploitation?
How is dat child Labour?

When you were 10yrs, didn't you take care of your younger ones?

Pls as I said earlier, calm down and stop making mountain out of valley.
Thanks

You employed a 10yr old as a nanny for your child?
I feel bad for that girl. Someone is molesting her and at the same time she's being subjected to child labor. Evil human beings.

Can't you see her actions towards the baby is a direct result of what she is been subjected to.
And your ediotic man of God even had temerity to feel 'evil spirits' in the house.

Well I guess he did. He felt it in the evil creatures like the ones who have destroyed that little girl's life.
She will never be the same again without rehab

This act if undertaken is going to be the most clueless and dullest act ever carried out even by the worst president in the history of Nigeria, therefore there is no doubt that this thought pattern is harbored by the dullard himself!

7 inches? shocked
naijababe:
I did Insanity for 30days and boi, the results were amazing, I lost around 7 inches around my tummy which thankfully I have not gained back but I could not do the the remaining 30 days, I was sure I would die if I continued my knees would give out, I have decided I will do it like once a year. I mentioned it to a colleague who suggested Jillian Michaels and after the first day of Shred I was hooked. Just as effective as Insanity but less impact on my knees and less jumps too. (No plyometrics stuff like in Shaun T).

If you don't have weights/dumbells, use a can of baked beans, would work just as well. So ladies, take some measurements, weigh yourselves and let's give this a go. We'll take stock in 30 days wink

Come down from your high horse and simply admit that you have be beaten into line by the aggressive homosexual lobby in the US!

Nobody talks about it in a Country that just legalized homosexual marriage? Are you nuts? Do you think being there gives you exclusive rights to global knowledge?
Just the way Americans and other countries discuss about Nigeria is the same way we discuss about you dumb assess over there and the eternal mistake of legalizing abomination and enthroning foolery as marriage in the US.
Ok you win. I never used to tolerate homosexuals until the U.S. Lobby beat me into line grin

And being in Nigeria gives you global exclusive knowledge?sine you obviously know what people talk about here. Omniscient you. Next thing now you will start whining from your assss about where I live.
Family › Re: Let's Talk About Marriage(homosexuality, polygamy And Others) by cococandy(f):
Talking about legalizing polygamy, nothing comes easy when it comes to school of thoughts and movements.
Everyone has had to fight for what they want. So if polygamists want to be able to legally marry as many spouses as they want, they should start their movement and make people hear what they have to say.
Feminists did it.
Homosexuals did it.

So theirs won't be different.

You've to fight for what you want.Make the public see why they should support it. It's that simple.

They should also be prepared to support women marrying more than a man if they chose to because failure to do that will expose the sexism in That system of marriage and render their movement dead on arrival.
Family › Re: Let's Talk About Marriage(homosexuality,polygamy And Others) by cococandy(f): 11:06pm On Jun 28, 2015
Polygamy is self and ego serving to the men who propagate it. If the women in those cultures were to vote what they want for themselves and by majority vote polygamy not out of fear for what God will say if they are not selfless enough to share their husbands with other women, or out of blackmail for disregarding culture, then denying those women their rights to share their husbands would be just as bad as denying the homosexuals their rights of marrying each other.

But we know that's not the case. Polygamy is unfair most times to one part of the marriage and that party is made to endure it or leave in which case, they chose what they consider to be the lesser of two evils ( since being a divorceee is like having leprosy)

I am yet to see what makes homosexual marriages comparable to polygamy.
Let's put it this way, if I grew up in a culture where polygamy is allowed and I'd grow up knowing that after investing my adulthood in a marriage , the man is free to bring in another woman without consequences, I wouldn't bother getting married. There's no protection for me in such a society.
But gay people getting married around me doesn't affect me or harm me,so how is it the same thing?

It all boils down to rights for me. Any system that will infringe on one party's right is a no no for me. At least with homos, no one is forcing anyone to live in marital conditions unfair to them.
Family › Re: Let's Not Embrace Gay Marriage by cococandy(f): 10:54pm On Jun 28, 2015
My friend sharrap.

You must think the so called US is full of gays walking up and down the streets and forcing people to accept them. I've never and 'never' being the operative word, met any gay person since I came here. Everybody minds their business so if they are gay and walked past them, I never know. Meanwhile I knew quite a bit of some gay folks back in Nigeria. Coincidentally only Nigerians (nairalanders) die on gay issues. Nobody talks about it here. (Same as feminism BTW)
How you people leave your issues and face others peoples issues are astounding. If anyone is to be influenced by their society, it's those in Nigeria but evidently as is shown on nairaland, we pay too much attention to stuff like this. Nigerians want to die on gay issues that means the word is even circulating more in Nigeria than here.
You're not worried the gays there will influence you?

dinachi:
Actually she is very very wrong and is actually being very influenced by the society she lives in now. She is in the US.
Jesus is a Lamb and also a Lion.
He is a loving God who will not hesitate to punish sinners.
He forgives but only when you confess your SINS and not when you are insisting that you are correct in your iniquity!
The same Bible says it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

We have seen Homosexual gay parades but I have never seen adulterers marching in a parade and demanding that adultery should be encouraged and accepted as good!

Jesus told the woman caught in adultery 'I do not condemn you' but he did not stop there! He also told her ' Go and sin no more! Most people avoid quoting the later part for convenience sake.
So my dear be properly guided!

It's not only the parents of a particular child that is saddled with the responsibility of raising that child.

Parents are not the sole provider of learning experience for their children. Jean Piaget (a famous psychologist who wrote extensively on the child cognitive development) view children as "lone scientist" ie natural born scientists.

Gay tendency was always learnt from somewhere either by experience or perception and that's logical because....

The mind of the child is tabula rasa.

Pr0ton:
That was very kind of you Johnydon22. These superstitions have just eaten deep into the brains of Africans. I do get really annoyed whenever I hear stuff like picking snails in the dream, a person who shakes before dying has seen his hell fire before he dies, sango is thunder, beautiful and fair girls are from the waters, declearing people contrary-spirit-possesor just because you see it in a dream or "revelation" (that is only witnessed by you alone) and many more including the one you've brought up today; from grown ups.

Many innocent children are really suffering from this insanity. I can remember the issue my parents' pastor brought up about my sisters and many other girls being witches and possesed in his "church". My parents hurriedly bought the idea (as in people tend to believe EVERYTHING their pastor tells them) My mum would question my sis about the stuff, night and day. It was getting too annoying and I couldn't bear it. I had to go exclaim at her (during the questioning process) if she herself had asked her God if what her pastor said was true. She was silent and began to think about it (I was still a Christian then tho) and I wasn't nice with her pastor at all. His stup!d beliefs were just too much.

The imperative drive behind all these is FEAR. Humans would go and do the extreme (no matter how insane it would seem) to satisfy their fear and ensure themselves safety. For Africans to get healed of this sickness it would take hundreds of ultra-advancing generations. An adult can appear very stup!d when he subjects himself to fear. You hear him do and speak nonsense that a vibrant 8yr old kid would feel disgusted at. angry

Yea maybe the rules changed cow the company said we could go to any location we want in the world and it seemed like a good deal then until I really thought about that yearly payment for life and it didn't seem any better than just booking your vacation yourself after all.

I met some other couple who have this plan that sounds awesome. Let me see how it goes.
ifyalways:
Timeshare is not my thing, dear. The limitations are two much unless of course the rules have changed. One, it's expensive. Two, you are limited to going to a specific city/ vacation spot every year unless you buy from a brand. Three, when your vacation plans/dates change, you would have to worry about your time space. Four, annual maintenance fees for a place I use once in a year? I no pay abeg. Five, I will be bored, staying same place over and over again.

If your child is gay, there's nothing you can do about it and it's is no one's fault.
All these gay people were raised by straight even strict parents. How do you think they learned it?

Afrobasic:
In my view, those who are in support are either ignorant of the long term consequences or people who just want to "belong" to the crew of those who call themselves civilized.

Long term consequences in the sense that we now live in a world where the media promotes homosexuality. Heck most movies today have gay scenes in them. Even Disney and CN may soon start promoting that filth. Porn site now have gay porn directly mixed with straight porn on their front pages lipsrsealed *used to be in the secluded section*. Even some parents(like those in support) indirectly tell their children that it's okay to be gay. To us, it's impossible to turn gay (cause we've been directly or indirectly taught how to be straight from young) but to the pre-adolescent lad, who's just discovering his sexuality... It's a complete different ball game.

I hope y'all in support won't be mad when your sons bring back home their fellow male counterparts asking for your blessing in marriage.
