Get people to fetch the water at least and pay them. You can be doing the others by yourself.
Don't break your waist in that well o.

Not at all, I am not a typical minded African even though I barely lived in Nigeria. I appreciate independent black women. Let's say maybe there wouldn't this topic if she bought me for example a dog, expensive wine, pair of shoes, a piece of artwork or something less or not similar to what I got for her. I bought a wristwatch for her parents for their 32 years marriage anniversary and on my baby bro's graduation she bought exactly the same wristwatch that I got for her dad for my baby bro.
Ok that's weird.

My reason my reason.

Your version, your version.

The day guys like you will stop speaking for ladies is the day you will begin to sound objective.
I don't go about telling you why you choose the kind of lady you do now, do I? I don't. Because I'm not omniscient.

So don't try to be omniscient especially on matters you will never understand. E.g being a woman.
So when I speak for myself, I state clearly that it's for me and not the 'ladies' you've flagged down in your flashy ride. grin

I don't know the amount of money that a guy my age range will have to make him the desirable manly man that I want him to be.
Case in point wizkid or davido.
If I wanted to be either of these two guys, i'd be honest with myself to admit even if not publicly that I want their money. But I won't kid myself that it's genuine attraction.
It's not just the maturity angle, it's sexual too.
Don't wann go into details but a boy can't really turn one on. (No offense in case)

Maybe when I'm older, a guy my age will be attractive but for now, I'll pass thank you very much. It is not about money.
Habatically coco, this has got to be the biggest lie of the century, women mistake extreme greed for smartness, their definition of being smart is dating older dudes, consequently, a lot of them get defied, raped, used and dumped in their quest for materiality, so much for being smart, they couldn't even deduce the dude waas only after the untouched "lily of the valley between their skirt".... No girl has ever asked about my age when I flank them down with a nice ride, when we were busy in class thinking of how to curb global warming and cure hiv, they were fvcking our older brothers and you think that is being smart?
Ok seriously though I don't know about any other lady and people do have GOOD REASONS for their choices and my good reason is that I won't be a good match with a guy my age. What I lack in experience, I make up for in other areas. So a guy at my level with equivalent level of life experience will be 'maybe' uncomfortable.

If you had substituted level with age earlier, I won't have argued, for women it's about the level not the age, they equate material success with maturity, dats why David gets to sleep with all those old ladies who wouldn't even look at kunle, even though kunle is levels ahead upstairs.. There's nothing like experience, the only experience an average 18 year old female has over her male counterpart is the sexual kind... Women date/marry more succesful men than they, more successful men are invariably older...

We need to operate on the same level and I may be suffocating to him. Not fair to him.
Not saying I'm bossy though.
Actually I'm not. Just very strong willed.

On the same level of materiality abi, you aspire, he provides, no be so cool cool
My friend told me that his wife came to him yesterday and pleaded for him to assit her in the laundary and he gladly did. this plead is what she never did b4 but would want to command him, which he cannot succumb to.
were his own clothes part of what he was 'pleaded' to wash? grin
Like seriously?

Even if the wife was being adamant about it, he couldn't fish his own clothes from the pile and wash them at least for his own cleanliness? Since she's pregnant and tired. He needed to be begged before he could see that?

Your friend does keep you updated anyhow.

Pls also let us know when she pleads with him to wash his own body.

That's a healthy competition since you can both afford it so quit whining if your story ain't porkies
True at first one may not want to believe him because of the flippant way he's telling the story.

dwayni:
My major concerns are, feeling we are competing and maybe not appreciating what do for her simply because she can afford or gift back the similarb .
Did she say 'thank you' when you gave it to her?
If yes. That's enough.
What other kind of appreciative do you want her to be? Maybe the car is appreciation in her own way.(competitive maybe) but hey...

Anyway I'm gonna gonna go out on a leg here and say that you're probably like the typical African man who believes having money is a requirement that defines your manhood. And having a girl who has that same power as you is now a question mark on your status in the relationship.right?

Because for some guys as long as they are in charge financially, they have no doubt that their lady will be pliant towards them since she's all but dependent on them.

Well now you gotta learn how to be a man without hiding behind expensive gifts.
That's your new homework.
Talk about learning to use your left hand in old age.

To anyone else who may think this is just about the vehicle or showing off. I never said she bought me a buggatti or jet. Its just a mustang GT worth less than $37,000. I have really been suck when it comes to relationship and one time I finally found who I am deeply in love with and with no doubt I want to wife anytime soon, I don't want to screw it up.
Get with the program newbie. If your story doesn't involve suffering and gnashing of teeth, it's show off.

Deal with it tongue

Or send the mustang to me and the problem will be solved. See? No more car troubles.

Family › Re: Am I Being A Bad Friend? Is This Betrayal? by cococandy(f): 6:10am On Jun 23, 2015
It's not a betrayal per se.

But left to me, I wouldn't touch a guy who sees me as a second option.
Mmm Mmm.

So if Freda begins to like him tomorrow what happens? She was always his first choice remember? Forget whatever he says about her now, some guys will do that when the girl they like doesn't give them what they want. wink wink wink
#fact.

And since they can't have her, they will try to use her friend to make her jealous. Another childish thing but yea some guys do that.

If she shows 'genuine' interest in him tomorrow, you think he will resist every temptation she throws his way?

You're like what he's using to console himself and to 'show' her.
My dear don't set yourself up for heartbreak.

Also you need to review your friendship with Freda. If she overshadows you so much that you're like the bedside lamp (inanimate object) whenever she's around, you need to be with her less often. Don't be the Michelle in your 'destiny's child'

(At least, so you don't begin to resent her)

Now this is funny!

Did you mean to say typical feminists or extreme feminists?

I know extreme Christians who do not eat with their unbelieving parents... Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.... Perhaps there is something wrong with Christianity?

You identify with a lot of issues? 60% 70% 80%?

Me thinks you cannot be in the middle. It is either you are or you are not

LOL!

Have a good day

In Nigeria it is estimated that 40%-50% of all first marriages end up in divorce (www.marmalette.com).
They must have carried out this survey in Lagos.

Igando and ejigbo areas specifically. grin

It can't be that high in other states.

If she's older than cococandy, bukatyne and babygirlfl, that means she married as an old hag hence her frustration because other feminist ladies here, has been married long ago.

i didn't read this thread (no need to) but I think it should be renamed behavior of non-feminists on nairaland.
Because all my stay on this forum, all I see are people who can't sleep because feminists exist.

They can't let a topic progress without sneaking in the topic and ranting all day about feminists.
All the insults exist because some people all the time cannot resist taking a jab at feminists who most of the time are contributing on topics without even talking feminism or anything related to it.
