OP here. Read and digest.
EfemenaXY:
I don't think she's necessarily being selfish, but concerned.
True, her father has the right to live his life and be happy, but he also has an obligation to look after his very dependent children. From what she's posted, he's got 3 of them to look after (financially).
Krisgift: You mention that your dad's retired. So does this new lady (his intended wife) have a supporting means of income? Does she work? If not, how does your dad intend to look after you lot, himself, his wife-to-be, and the kids they might have from the union assuming she's of childbearing age?
You're twenty-one and and adult. So I think you should have a polite (and respectful) heart-to-heart with your dad and table your concerns to him, and hear what he has to say.
I'm suggesting this on the assumption that you've got a good father-daughter relationship between you both?
buygala:
ok....

This is a very very tricky one embarassed
huh

On the one hand, Your father didn't come into this world just to make you and your siblings happy undecided.. As a human being, he is also entitled to his own happiness smiley
.....

On the other hand, Your father also owes you guys a duty not needlessly stretch his already meagre and uncertain finances by trying to raise a second family, when he has not even finished raising the first one angry .... not to talk of the possible family relationship friction which may result from the steps mother's bad behaviour, you and your siblings' bad behaviour, or even from your father's perceived partiality towards his first or second family sad

Point is... You will have to personally find a custom-made solution which will fit the peculiarities of your family's circumstances. ... No effective solution can be proferred by strangers who have absolutely no idea of the nature of your present family situation, and the disposition of your to-be step-mum and your new 'step-siblings'. embarassed

Family › Re: How Do You Handle A Very Stubborn Wife? by cococandy(f): 9:44am On May 10, 2015
Ok. Her name is isioma. You know that's a proper Igbo name so I took it for granted that they are Igbo.

But I think you're correct about the different spellings because they tend to use the E alphabet in place of A. When she talks to her sister in their language, I can't understand a word she says but she understand every word of Igbo I speak and speaks better than me even though I'm very good at speaking and writing Igbo.
I just assumed theirs was a harder dialect.

Maybe not so Igbo afterall.
babygirlfl:
I don't know if it is the right way to put it but our language is part Igbo and part Bini. We bear names that sound Igbo but a little bit different like Emeke instead of Emeka. I know many people from there who will just accept to be called that maybe because they did not grow up there or they just can't be bothered with any aguement. Formally there is no such thing as delta Igbo. It's just a name that stayed after being used to describe us for a long time. For example you could never fill any official document as an Anioma Deltan and say you are Delta Igbo.

babygirlfl:
Do you mean Agbor in Delta state, that is not an Igbo town and read your history well because the Obi of Agbor is known as the youngest crowned monarch in history.
i always thought agbor people are Igbo. I've a sis-in-law from there and she passes for Igbo. Even speaks it Better than I do. Hmm. We learn everyday. If people ask me to name delta Igbo regions, i always start from asaba then agbor cheesy

Ok so why is their king an Obi if they are not Igbo? angry

Family › Re: How Much Should I Give Her For Monthly Upkeep by cococandy(f): 7:59am On May 10, 2015
@bold exactly
ifyalways:
I don't think 100K per month is too much however I think the OP believes it's much/ the wife is not prudent solely because the wife is NOT working. That's the truth boy!

That feeling of resentment is gradually building up, it would do your wife a lot of good to get up and find a job.

100K a month
Foodstuff, including children's lunch pack : 60K
Herself : 20K
Petty stuff she won't ask u: 20K

My sister, na so na...and yes, you are right. It does take it's toll on the joints. The knees to be precise...so that's why I alternate the days I run. Once every two days. The days I don't run, I do Scola Dondo's intensive workout dance videos. All three of them - twice in one go. I end up sweating so much, I suspect I burn even more calories from this than running! cheesy

So that, then later in the evening, my sit-ups and lower abs workout.

It is addictive, especially when you see the pounds shedding off like kilodey. smiley
@bold, so true.

I'm on a diet that made me lose 5pounds in just about a week or more and I'm feeling like "ha it's working. I don't Want to stop." Now I feel guilty about eating what I really like or forgeting to work out in a day. It is an now an addiction.
