How is same sex relationship mutual consent based when u have anti gays too
lol. Who's consent do you need for a relationship besides those in it? How can you say it is not mutual when the relationship is not forced on any of the partners? If one gay partner didn't want to be gay and the other is forcing it in them, then you can say it is not mutual.

For polygamy, many of the women aren't in support but they are told to suck it up or leave and in some cases religion is used to justify it. How is it mutual? Pickabeau grin chai.
If the wife would rather have her husband to herself but the man insists on marrying another wife, does it define mutual consent between the man and the woman?

There's no basis for comparison between polygamy and homosexual marriage.
They are different things that don't belong in the same broad group.

Maybe they only call him 2x a year. With no live-in help at his age.

there's no science to it. Just pull a straight face and tell her you deserve better.
If she insists on her stance that you're free to check elsewhere, by all means check elsewhere.

It may only take her being left by you and being treated like shyt by someone else to realize what she's lost.

If being westernized means my sister who is in my home must respond to my call for peace, at the risk of being asked to leave nicely first, and not so nice subsequently, then heck yeah! Perhaps I'm not really that nice cool

All this pussy footing around one emotional woman, I don't have time for it (I do have patience, but none for stale inaction). It's in no one's best interest to leave her sulking, creating a dark cloud with nothing in the name of resolution happening soon. Sorry, but go home if you can't respect your brother's request for some insight into your troubles and peace in his home. Sometimes the threat is enough to make one open up grin.

Some people just want to create drama over nothing, and even worse are the spectators who have their time (that includes us) grin

I can't sincerely answer that.
Maybe she's seeing him, maybe she's not at the moment. Maybe he's still wooing her and she's considering dating him. I don't know without any FACTS.

But I must tell you that you should not be checking her phone. That's her privacy.
Quit it.

I do think you've something to worry about and it is not another guy(because you can't prove it yet).
What you have to worry about is that you find her full of herself and treats you with contempt.
So even if there's no other guy in the picture and she's all for you, that attitude is not something you should swallow especially if you intend to settle with her.
She may wreck your self esteem if you let her.

Have you tried to talk to her about it?

level10:
thanks for your contribution, I appreciate....please, I need you answer on this second question. from a lady's point of view.

I called her yesterday and her line was on *call waiting for about 10mins..I asked her who she was on phone with..she said it's a friend. ..so, today I went tru her phone and saw a particular guy's number...he calls her like 3times a week...(long calls).....

question

1) is it a norm, that a girl receives long calls from other guys when she claims to have a bf..

2) do u think I have anything to worry about.

Thank you! What can be made of the word 'normal', but surely it's not normal to remain in such a house if you have just cause for the entire family to stand up to their son regarding his wife. This inclines my thoughts towards the SIL having issues she should deal with. Otherwise she's just bored and playing with power.

Kick her out!!!! undecided
@bold. Not easily accomplished.
You're too 'westernized' grin
Nobody kicks an in-law out without being the bad guy for it.
Didn't you read where she threatened to leave if her brother didn't drop the issue? (Even though she didn't really mean to go anywhere or she'd have done it)
That's because she knows once the word is out that her brother and his wife sent her out of their home, they are the bad guys regardless of what happened. So that's a nice weak spot to use in making them Uncomfortable. Like you said "playing with power"

The couple don't want trouble from their family so they obviously have no choice than to wait it out until she opens up on what's really making her upset.

sometimes it's just so difficult to leave.the feeling of starting a fresh . The feeling of not having her in my life..The feeling of a wasted investment of time . I really want out..but when I think of all these and something pops in my head that *nobody is perfect*...
That's true but nobody being perfect doesn't mean they should treat you like shyt.
There's no human being without a fault (temperamental, wasteful, sloppy, etc) so while you make efforts to accommodate each other's short-comings, always draw a line at the point where you're made to feel like you're worthless and being with you is an act of charity from them.
Family › Re: P by cococandy(f): 6:47pm On Apr 30, 2015
You're setting yourself up for emotional abuse.
If you value yourself, never be in a relationship with someone who's acting like they are doing you a favor by being with you.

So, SIL threatened to leave, husband convinced her to stay. His family aren't happy with him, wife is to blame. SIL and brother are now feuding. No acknowledgement from SIL to wife and now hubby to SIL. Wife unhappy, confused but can't solve anything. And all living under one roof.

Is this a Nigerian thing? I don't get why a grown woman with a fraction of installed sense cannot leave of her own accord if she felt unwelcome in her brother's house . How will anything be solved if SIL is not responding well to hubby or his wife? What kind of authentic foolishness do people put themselves through in this lifetime smh undecided
The face-carrying is because she's the same age as the wife and maybe can't really do anything to her.
If she was older, maybe wifey for dey chop slap for not respecting her in her own brother's house.

Not saying the wife is without blame but if she's not being a good hostess, then the visitor should leave at her earliest convenience for her own peace of mind.
I can't imagine someone disrespecting me for being in their house and I'll keep staying when I can arrange to move out instead of 'moodying' about the house waiting for husband and wife to fall out because of me.
Worse still not saying what the problem is so that we can all settle the matter peacefully.

The only money they owe him is the bride price and his property if she really carted them away.

So she should refund him the money he spent on entertaining his friends from abroad?

Sadly I don't have any contact I can recommend.

But if you shop around, I believe you will find someone affordable. He doesn't have to be R.Kelly you know? It is always the thought that counts even if the person is not a pro.
Even your church violinist/guitarist can do it if he's good with the instrument.
