Sure we don't, it's just some few people who think with their mouth only & doesn't know the years it took to position Lagos state where it is today that wanted to hand it over to their half brother so that they can further prove their claim of no man land as if it's having a direct road link to their village.
You mean 77 years of being the federal capital territory developed with federal resources? Were all those decades of resources exclusively from only Yoruba families?

Some of you don’t think and that’s your problem. Senses diminished due to bigotry.

Most of these fools here making inciting posts and comments are not from Igbo or Yoruba tribe.

2015/2019, we had someone called Omenka, and Felix Terungwa Dav, a.k.a an unrepentant tribal bigot, Tiv by tribe, making inciting comments about the Igbos.

We also had sarkki, the then Oba of zombies who tried to deceive everyone that he is Yoruba.

Now, what we have is Moh247 and some other daft fellows making inciting comments here against the Igbos.

These tribal nematodes are not from the two major tribes.

The person who quoted didn’t say that
The girl whose post she was defending didn’t say that. So who told you that Lagos is no man’s land that’s getting you riled up?

Because literally all you and the lot like you are doing is telling yourselves something that no one actually said to you just in a bid to justify your deep seated hatred. I mean if you have an excuse to be a bigot then it’s not so bad right?

Nothing was cleared except the realization that there is more latent hate waiting to show itself than most people would have expected.

Okorietitus:
Saying Lagos is no man's land is standing tall, àbí?
Can an Ebonyi man call Anambra no man's land?
Can an Imo man go to Anambra and tell them he has a candidate for them that they should vote?
Currently, Nsukka and Nkanu people both in Enugu are fighting over this election.

Lagos is not no man's land. Your doubt has been cleared.
Politics › Re: An Apology To The Igbo People Of Nigeria by cococandy(f): 11:32pm On Mar 20, 2023
Period.
Putting up a rule that says everyone is responsible for what they post is not enough.

How are they going to be held accountable if they are deemed responsible for any loss or injury that occurs as a result of their post? I mean they’ve been granted anonymity have they not?

Imagine an innocent old man or woman in Lagos (Or wherever) going about their business unaware of the existence of nairaland but gets harmed because of the hate that’s allowed to run rampant here? How can one even connect the dots that the person who harmed them was an ethic bigot whose hate was fueled by other anonymous individuals on this forum?

Theyoungmaster:
During the genocide in Rwanda, some radio stations kept adding fuel to the fire by inciting the populace and providing platforms for hate speeches to rule the day.

You have successfully created a platform that encourages hate speech and tribal bigotry. You're partially complicit in the ethnic war raging currently. .
Politics › Re: An Apology To The Igbo People Of Nigeria by cococandy(f):
Thank you.

Yep. This forum is his baby. His creation. It can never outgrow him. It can never become too much for him to manage. It just depends on how much money he’s willing to leave on the table when ethnic bigots and chronic misogynists don’t flock the forum anymore due to strict enforcement of anti-hate policies.

I know it’s truly not easy but it’s not impossible.

jelel6:
I know someone will hit the bullseye with their submission. this touches all the right notes. Pardon the quote, I did it for emphasis sake so the owner has another chance not to miss your home truths.

@Seun, the big questions are:

Are you really bothered enough about the promotion of ethnoreligious divisions on your forum?

Are you really ready to do what it takes to position this forum as a platform for civilize discuss?

And most importantly, are you willing to do whatever it takes? Especially after reading what this poster said above with emphasis on the bolded?

Needless to say, there's only one solution. BANS. Two weeks? Two months? Lifetime? You decide. As long as they are enforced with reckless abandon.

Because the platform is very heavily infested with division champions, you will start seeing a much saner and civil place in less than a month.

The tribal antagonists are quite many, but they are few compared to those they antagonize and provoke. GO FOR THOSE ONES FIRST!

So referendum and state governed/managed allocation of resources rather than a federal republic? Do you support? Because that’s what sounds fair to me. Let each state be in charge of their resources. No using federal resources to fund any state.

You’re the one who’s stupid. That one hit you in a place you can’t defend hence the resorting to name calling.
Again are Yorubas the only ones who generate the revenue in Lagos? What a dumbass.

What do you think will happen if everyone who’s not Yoruba leaves Lagos today? Sometimes bigotry makes some of reason like dumb rocks
0monnak0da:
Those are your words
Not mine
You stupidly raised the question of whether Yorubas are the ones paying VAT
YOU are being a hypocrite when you ignore the building blocks of society
Issues start at the bottom
E.g UNN has never had a non Igbo Vice chancellor and no one queries that
We are fine with that .
When the people of Ahiara rejected Bishop Okpaleke because he was from Awka No problem
When Abia sacked Imo civil servants it was OK
so why are you suicidal on.Lagos matter?
That is what and who we are if we want to deal with it let us have a comprehensive conversation about everything not just Lagos

@bold, so all the tribes should be welcome and participate politically in the state? I mean common sense?

Why am I even engaging you?
reddingtonblack:
You were the one that made it all about FG, all tribe in Nigeria constitute investors in Lagos . ok
Lemme ruin your appetite a bit, Dangote refinery investment in Lagos is worth more than all the investment IGbos have in Lagos .. so let’s not even go into the tribe list.

If any tribe/investor should pull out of Lagos today naa your LOss, except you are moving your investment abroad tongue
Politics › Re: An Apology To The Igbo People Of Nigeria by cococandy(f): 5:53pm On Mar 20, 2023
If that were the only problem on this forum I’d be like “No problem apology accepted”. We all make mistakes and no one should be denied redemption if they seek it.

But seun that ad is the least and I mean the very least of the problems you’ve allowed flourish on this forum. I didn’t even see the ad and I’ve been knowing what issues this forum faces.

You allow things that draw traffic to go to front page. And in a country like Nigeria where a lot of bigotry is common, your high traffic areas are ethnic bigotry, misogyny and other phobias. That’s what consistently makes the front page on your forum because that’s where the money lies.

You may not be biased at heart, but you profit from those biases.

So by comparing one state in Nigeria to Dubai, you’re saying that the state is a foreign land in the same way that Dubai is a foreign land. That means it’s best to divide Nigeria and let people travel with visas as they would to a foreign land. Each state will depend on their resource. No using south east resources for national development. And If resources from one part of the country has to be put to use in another part, then they would have to import it and pay for it?

Don’t you think so? I mean going by your logic. Let me know if that makes sense to you. I highly doubt it though.

0monnak0da:
You can ask the Dubai or any other jurisdiction the same question
Nigerians travel there and pay tax. Thanks to the Dubai not Nigeria
The Japaaer has to be humble in Japaaland
The jurisdiction created enabling environments otherwise Aba would generate that revenue
That concept would certainly overwhelm your cerebral infrastructure

Private sector investors are all Yoruba. am I right?
reddingtonblack:
And what make you think federal allocation is alloted by population, FIY Lagos don't even get the lion share of FG allocation, besides there is a sharing formular
Yoruba nation as being funding itself long before the discovery of crude oil, lemme school your ignorant ass a bit, Awolowo in his time built couple of projects with cocoa revenue, such as university, roads, free education, the tallest building in west africa cocoa house e.t.c so we've alway taken care of ourselves
Incase you forgot, Lagos was an opposition state for 16yrs to the FG, so whatever you see development you see in Lagos was funded by the state and private sector (investors) ... So with or without FG Lagos don't wait on anybody.

And lastly, Igbos should stop interfering in Lagos election, no one is said they shouldn't vote but interfering is absolutely wrong, the hausas/fulanis and other tribes that are living in Lagos will never do something like that.
ONE Nigeria 🇳🇬 with all of us living together in peace and love is all we want at .

GOD bless you Sis.
Peace and love with equity.

or peace and love with igbo citizens no being welcome in other parts of the country because that’s not their state.

Or peace and love with a system of zoning presidency yet other tribes can rule but whenever an igbo person rears their head to contest, the other tribes get agitated and swear igbo people can’t be president.

Peace and love that allocate huge federal resources to develop places like Lagos because of the population (made up of all tribes by the way) but does not allocate the same to other states but then people from those states are supposed to be eternally grateful even deferential to exist in a land their collective money built?

What kind of peace and love are we talking about?

Because if you want peace and love, you must be open minded to discuss and solve the issues that threaten the peace and love
