Her mom who just came (knowing fully well that the godmother is there) and who lives down the street from you should wait until the godmother leaves on Wednesday. Her mom will have all the time in the world to spend with y'all thereafter. exactly |

Magnoliaa: Okay... Noted.
Patience seems to be the no. 1 ingredient lol, and it doesn't seem like you do so much... these are pretty easy to follow up. I used to read views and all that about how natural hair is harder to maintain or something. It can be hard if you’re trying to do natural styles all the time. Like twist out, finger curls, wash and go etc. it takes all day to style and only last 2- 3 days. That’s why people give up easily. Who has time to style hair 2x a week? |

I use this before blow drying. But any similar product will work great too

Magnoliaa: Beautiful.
So how did you make it stop breaking? And for how long have you left it now, like, since you last cut it off? Thank you. It’s been two years. I usually wear protective styles a lot. Like braids and wigs. I NEVER comb or style when it’s dry in the natural state. I detangle under running water with a big comb and put it into large twists in the shower so that it won’t get tangled again. Then I blow dry each twist section to stretch it out. Only then can I style it dry. To me all those products are the same. I won’t recommend any specific one. They don’t really work for our hair type. I just apply the ones that smell good |

Thank you gorgeous. Look if it helps, you’re not alone. Let’s just say last week I considered going bald again. So that I could properly dye it honey blonde . (Long story but I’ve been trying to color it. it’s hard to get it to be the color I want except I use bleach; which I don’t really want to). For now it’s been two years since the first Covid. That’s how long I’ve stopped messing with it. So I wanna say in a year or two you’ll see a big change if you’re patient . I wish you good luck Oh and what made me go natural is that when I relax my hair is really weak and breaks off too easily pocohantas: Omalicha 1 of the whole Nairaland . It looks very good, both as an afro and when it is stretched out.
What motivated your decision to go natural?
The way it looks when you leave it alone is just how I love my hair to look in my head. Though I haven’t achieved anything close to that length. I hope I don’t get tired because when I did the big chop earlier this year, I first went for one of those Rihanna kinda short hair. So I had to transition and kept trimming the edges until I got this. Wish me well o. |

pocohantas: Thank you!! I was already sick and tired of the leave in conditioner talk. I began to think I am not applying right or using a cheap product. So, I bought two more. Glad to know I was right all along - it is not working mehn. I’ll try this out. Thanks a lot. Yea this works perfectly for me. Fingers crossed it will work for you too. I did my final big chop during that first Covid outbreak after I got tired of chop, grow, relax, get tired/frustrated, chop again and repeat. Now I mostly leave it alone. When in it’s natural state it looks like it’s short but when I blow out, I can see how much it’s growing. Pics for encouragement |
Nairaland General › Re: The Pinkpill Roundtable Discussion by cococandy(f): 7:32pm On Aug 28, 2022 |
pocohantas: Cococandy is your hair relaxed? I did the big chop, now grooming it again and it is so strong. Strangely hairdressers claim my hair is soft. Please don’t tell me leave-in conditioner and all that o. I have various products currently.
I don’t know my hair type, but it is deeply curled. Currently stretches to about 4 inches.
Can I do a blowout? I know heat is not good, but mehn, I currently dread making my hair. Considered locking it, but I shelved that. Hi poco. I’m natural. I do blow outs and flat iron all the time and it reverts back to its natural state when I wash it. I feel you as far the tough texture goes. Don’t be afraid to apply heat. Use a heat protecting primer when the hair is wet and blow out in sections. When it is dry, flat iron if you want to or braid/style accordingly to your heart’s desire. All those leave in conditioner bla bla bla ,most of them don’t work on our type of hair texture (4c). When I wear it naturally, it’s in Afro shape and doesn’t even last for the whole day. Sometimes I feel it’s not worth the effort and time it consumes. As long as you’re not applying heat more than once every other week, you’ll be fine. If you must style it without applying heat, do the styling when it it’s wet or damp. That’s only language type 4 hair understands. |

If her issue is not with you, why wouldn’t she pursue reconciliation first before any business ventures? Sounds weird. Sominablack: Update:
I finally summed up courage and went to see my little daughter. My little daughter is well and doing fine of course I have been sending upkeep before now.
However, her mum is not looking as good as when she was with me. After a brief stay and discussion with my little daughter, I decided to take her out to buy some ice cream. Her mother opted to go with us too and in the process we had a heart to heart talk at the eatery. Guess what? Once again she told me i am not the issue that she does not have problem with me that she s gathering herself and that her father had disowned her because of me( they are angry with her for her negative actions towards me)
She told me to go and meet with her family in villa and settle with them since we first went there for a meeting, that I should tell them she does not have issues with me.
My response to her was that she has to tell her family herself that she does not have issues with me and that we have reconciled and not me telling them since she painted a wrong picture of me before them during the initial meeting their villa.
However I made some efforts to reach her fathers elders brother who she always confide in since she claimed not to be in good term with her own father. Response was that she herself has to inform them (her own family)she has no issue with me and that we have reconciled.
She agreed to do so ( communicate her family) but told me to assist her fix up the shop she newly rented for her business through a loan she collected and that when she will tell them about the launch of the shop she will use the opportunity to inform her family I assisted her and that we have reconciled.
I then told her that we have to get things right by truly reconciling with family involvement in the reconciliation process and every other thing will fall in line including the shop but she is insisting I fix up the shop first.
I also told her that since she will be visiting her villa soon to deliver some business good to a relation she should use the opportunity to inform her family that she does not have issue with me but the visit was not the right time to inform them as she may come back that day or pass a night and may not want much people to know she was around in villa.
I told her she does not care about my needs and feelings all these while she has been away despite my efforts but she wants me to do her own bidding. She then said I was giving her condition before helping her.
Men and brethren am not finding her idea of fixing her shop before she would use it as an opportunity to inform her family funny despite the fact she has opportunity to travel home soon which she can use to tell them.
At this juncture, I need ideas and strategies from experienced and matured minds on how I can go about this with her now. Thanks in advance for your inputs.
The case here is if she does not have any issue with me why is she waiting till I fix her shop before informing her family members.
Please if you wish to call me you can reach me at 07037854559. Thanks

That and the need for a working population to help them make sure they stay billionaires. That’s what their panic is all about. A majority colored America where workers have more right than they do now is the white/conservative billionaire’s nightmare. GloriousGbola: What the man is really saying - democracy is the rule of many. If we don't get our birth rates up quiver fulll style the niggers will take over. They have the numbers.
The definition of white man has been expanded over the years to ensure strength in numbers for voting
Once upon a time Italians and Spaniards and even Irish were not really looked at as white.
Today them dey push Latinos join, but it is still not enough That is what trump was really about. Oyibos are scsrr to live in an America where they cannot determine democratic outcomes |

You think they are concerned about anything but how to keep up an army of poor broken people who will work for pennies and help them build their billions? None of them are. That’s why all the abortion ban noise is about. They want white population to stay up and a an army of poor people to keep being reproduced every year. They can’t stay billionaires unless there are millions of poor people to exploit |
