Where are the pictures of the 50 dead bodies?

Let's stop portraying single women or single mothers as living soft lives. Everyone is subject to this workloads. Even those who can afford maids work extremely hard to make ends meet.

Being a single mom is easier than having an unhelpful partner. Because with an unhelpful partner, you still have to factor in the care that you provide for them. Cooking for them, their laundry, cleaning up after them. All that goes away. Whereas if they are helpful, then they are doing something to balance out that time you spent caring for them.

Honestly I don't know what some Nigerian woman are enjoying in their marriages, now if I'm being honest, have seen some beautiful marriages. But I'm here to talk about the so called alpha males on. nairaland.

First of all my definition of marriage is simple.
the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners. The partners have to promise to love, each other, stay together in good and bad days.

Now if u ask a nairaland Nigerian man what he was in a wife, you will think he's describing a slave. They want a wife they can control, dominate. A woman without an opinion and a housemaid.

In 2022 most women have jobs, some women wake up around 4 sometimes 5, prepare food and bath the children, by 7 food is ready, she sweeps the house and arranges the house. By 8 she takes the children to school and goes to work. Let's say she closes by 6. She rushes to the market, by 7 she is home and done with all her errands. She starts preparing food, bath the children, forces them to do their homework work , ask them to bath and she baths the little baby. By 8 food is ready, everyone eats, she decides to rest for a minute. By 9 she is already tired but has to wash your clothes and the kids clothes, she washes the plates. By 10pm she is done with all the house chores but her office work is still there, she forces herself to do the work. By 11 she is tired and goes to bed
Now this is just an example on what some women go through in day.
Now where is the husband, with a sidechick telling her how his wife doesn't have time for sex, how her body is now shapeless.

No appreciation, no love, nothing. Sometimes the house rent is even being paid by the woman, have worked in an agent office, I Know what am taking about. A woman that will do anything to keep her family including sacrificing her happiness and time. Now you rarely see the so called alpha men praising their wives but it's to come to nairaland. To call caring men simps and to advice themselves on how they are demi gods and should be treated as one.

Some men you dare not say "honey, please I'm on my period, on your way back from work please go to the market" omo all hell will break loose, he will come to nairaland to his fellow idiots to complain how is wife wants to control him. marriages in the real world is more understanding, the country is hard so a lot of couples now share responsibility. like my neighbor now he's the one that bathes and take the children to school, his wife is a trader so by 5 she is already on the road. when she comes back she cooks and they all arrange the house including the man and their elder child because in the morning they are all too busy to even sweep the house. now that's marriage. now this man has a job but his job is a 9-5.

By God's grace I am married now for 11years, I remember when I was young,as the last borned of the family of seven men, there was this issues in my family, all my other brothers were angry with my eldest brother, except me because I was living with him, the problem was that his wife is the one controlling him, it was a serious crisis, but we thank it was resolved.
Years later, my brothers started to get marry one after the other. Then, the reality of what marriage is , started to hit them one by one, I saw my senior brothers that accused my eldest brother of being controlled by his cook for their wives, scrub for their wives,mark you, my eldest brother for all the years I lived with him never enter the kitchen to cook, but here, all my senior brothers that accused my eldest brother of being a woman wrapper are doing worse things for their wives. Infact,if not for the intervention and wisdom of my eldest brother, one of my senior brothers,who was even at the forefront of this accusations ,his marriage would have crashed, but the man he accused of being controlled by his wife step in to settle his own marital crisis. Why am I sharing this story, many of you calling the man woman wrapper, you are not yet marry.go and marry you will learn what is in marriage. Marriage is a school, you can't learn anything until you enter. Whatever anyone teaches you about marriage is theoretical, you will learn the real thing when you enter. As for you OP, leave your brother and his wife alone, you are a visitor to that home, you don't know what make their marriage work.if you like, when you marry treat your wife anyhow you like,I am happily married for 11years blessed with three kids, I can tell you ,I still do some of these errands you are talking about for my wife. Times have changed. Gone are the days when women do the entire domestic work without assistance from their husbands. Secondly, oga OP when you marry your own wife feel free to kick her out if she seeks your assistance with house chores but learn to respect boundaries and leave your brother's family alone.

I and my wife live alone with our set of twins (7 months old), no maid or relative staying with us. We do the domestic work together and I even go to the market alone. Would you have been angry and conclude that my wife is using me if you were my brother ?
