Klass99:
At the original post, I love this lady's father already cheesy. Cultural and emotional sentiments aside I think the child's name should be changed to the name of the step father who is doing good, doing right and doing well by him. Parenting or being a father goes beyond donating sperm for conception/pregnancy.

Looks to me like you were absolutely right when you made this comment on a different thread. But I already knew that because a classmate shared her experience as a step mother, it wasn't nice. I doubt if Mother Theresa herself would have won in this game of step parenting (I almost said in this game of thrones grin. I miss that series)
Yes exactly. The grace that your child will use to accept correction and discipline from you is not the same that a step child will use for you. If you’re harsh to your kid, they’ll interpret is as strict loving parent whereas it can easily be misconstrued as wickedness by a stepchild. And you can’t blame them. They are young, immature and dealing with the loss of their own biological parent/s. I guess the reward comes after . When they are grown and see in hindsight that you did your best as a step parent.

Try to stay on topic. What does this have to do with the conversation?
ZirdoRoray:
Why the marriage no go hang? See the sooner we stop lying to ourselves about the polygamous nature of men and accept reality if it, the better. The wife shouldn't feel bad if he has been performing his duties has a husband. Ladies should allow men express themselves truthfully about what men want so that their marriages can last longer. See 95% of men want a sidekick, this backed by scientific data. Nature, reality and your feelings are not the same. The ladies who exposed such are at fault. See what I'm saying everyday? We are decieving ourselves that men are naturally monogamous but the sex Industry and extramarital affairs keep blooming everyday. The day we stop lying to ourselves, that's is the day we will reach true compromise and accept the way reality and nature works. No matter how much, you cage a man in a monogamous marriage, he will either cheat or become a temperamental. You ladies keep complaining that men are not treating you right but are ready to understand that what really men want is that you be the main lady and have the legacy and all the benefits but allow us to be men and have sidekicks. That way you will always a loving a caring man who will be more affectionate. Men are polygamous, believe me, the reason that marriage was going well was because the man had those sidekicks. If not that woman who have an angry husband at home. I doubt he has ever been abused her.

Ok so you're talking about high end prices, probably in down-town areas and in high expense places like the northern U.S(New York, Maryland) or maybe even California. I'm talking about Texas here where things are much cheaper. All those places that you are referring to are over-priced and over-rated in my opinion.
Where in Texas is a one bedroom $500?
Rural redneck heehaw Texas?

Because regular cities where most Nigerians live like Austin, Houston, Dallas, forth worth etc are way more than that.

We are not even mentioning California and New York in this rent conversation. They are in a separate special class all by themselves.

You think I'm lying? Ask anyone you know that lives in the U.S. or do some research on google.
show me the area so I can move there. I’m renting one of my houses for $2,200 a month and it was picked off the market the day I listed it because it’s the fairest and cheapest rental price in that area. You can’t even touch a studio for less than $900/$1000 a month in rural areas much less a one bedroom. What are you on about?

You should be doing the research you’re asking me to do

One bedroom for $500?
These nairalanders won’t kill me
Alusiizizi:
You definitely don't know what you're talking about. An average one bedroom flat in the U.S. is going for around $500 a month not to talk of electricity($80), then we have to eat 3 square meals a day($100 a week or $$400 a month give or take), then transportation(whether by bus or private car, there's no way to beat $100 a month). Of course man does not live by work alone so let's throw in a very stingy $200 a month for a bit of fun. Add all that up and you're looking at about $1,280 rounded up to $1,300 or thereabout. Now let's say the guy is getting paid about $2000 a month which is about the best that such a window cleaner can expect(low skill profession) then we remove tax(about 30% in the U.S.A) the man is then taking home only about $1,400 ~ $1,500 which leaves him with only about $200 in the bank. Assuming perfect conditions(i.e. no parking fines, traffic ticket, theft e.t.c) that would mean that he will have to be doing this for about 10 years or more to hope of saving up to $20,000. You might respond by saying that he could have the opportunity to change "levels" in the future but changing levels often come with a variety of more expenses which will very likely not see his monthly savings grow more than that $200 a month. Trust me, the grass is not greener on the other side.

That’s Republicans and their gun madness for you [quote author= post=113148094]Oh No not again.

Things got worse when the governor of that state signed into law that you can buy a gun with no permit.
Even when you have to have a permit before purchasing a gun, there was mad shootings everywhere, not to talk of when you can just walked into a gun shop to purchase a gun as if you are buying tomatoes.

So sad.

what do you know about a blood witch , immensely drawn to nature , easily gets drawn to reported numbers ,easily manipulative, her wishes mostly comes true and this might really make you jealous, especially getting favors from your husband,
Better put a hidden cam in your house and record her activities, so when you present the case to your husband you will have facts to back up, its not her fault , she was born so , her grand mum or father would either seize the powers or break the powers , its the family that will decide not a pastor, its ancestral, she has reincarnated and fighting her physically will be stupid, she will beat you because she once came to life and was powerful

This is one of the disadvantages of separate finances in marriage. You guys should be doing stuff jointly and that way you know what the major expenditures are. I know some people can still be sneaky but joint finances helps to cut down on this type of stuff. In this obodo, a financially reckless spouse who makes no money or spends more than they make will ruin your life quicker than you can imagine. Merge your finances now so you can better see what she’s up to.

Thanks sis. I still order from them sometimes. Uziza leaf is okay. To clean, I just soaked in super hot water thrice or more etc

Ugu, not so good. .sand and hairs were many. I can work the sand...but not hairs. I threw it away. Maybe how it was dried...wind blowing stuff into it.
I haven’t bought dried ugu before because I can’t imagine the texture of dried ugu. But wait they were the ones with the hair in their ugu? Yikes.

Glad now I know I won’t be recommending them to anyone (for their ugu at least). Their ukazi is okay. It’s dried but still maintains it’s greenness so there’s a modicum of freshness there.

If I knew when you purchased the ugu, I would have messaged that woman about it. Her name is Mary and I’m sure she should know if her products are not up to standard and fix it.

I’m sorry dear

No bother too much with dried leaf unless you trust the seller and can return the dried leaf for a refund.
I’ve bought dried ukazi before and it was full of sand. Had to soak and resoak. But I found that website I showed you a while ago and their dried vegetables are clean. It’s either them or I use the prepped by a family member
