Interesting BlueRayDick: Lunch: Ekuru + boiled turkey wings.
Ekuru is a meal I enjoyed eating a lot while growing up. Ekuru is also called "ofu-loju" by some people. I dont know if none Yorubas know much about this delicacy ( In fact I don't know if it has an English name)
Ekuru is made from beans just like moin moin; the beans is peeled the same way u peel Ur beans for moin moin. However, the beans used for ekuru is blended plain white without adding seasoning, pepper, fish or salt....The blended beans is either tied nylon, kept in cups/small containers or wrapped in leaf the same way u would moin-moin. It is then cooked on high heat just like moin moin.
Once the ekuru is done u will need to prepare a badass peppered stew with enough locust beans, ponmo and if u like dried fish.
The ekuru will then be served with the spicy stew and a sprinkle of salt is added to the ekuru after which u will mash it with Ur hands to mix the stew to every nook and cranny of the mashed ekuru.
I actually prefer this ekuru to moin moin any day any time. It tastes so good.
Growing up we usually take it with ẹ̀kọ́ (solid pap) but I had this with Sweetened yoghurt.
NB: The stew is best enjoyed with ekuru if it is made with palm oil |

Mariangeles: I want to ask...would you say the same about the men or would they rather not marry a woman with more intelligence? For me, I would say the same about a man. He doesn’t have to be intelligent or smart. And as long as he’s not the head strong type who will fight to be in charge of things that he’s less capable of handling compared to his wife, I don’t see why they can’t be happy. |

@topic . Intelligence doesn’t guarantee a good spouse. Male or female.
It depends on what the person in question is looking for. That is their definition of a good wife. An unintelligent woman might meet the criteria more than the intelligent one based on what the man wants. |

Mariangeles: Most men are intimidated by very intelligent women.
You see most nairaland males write about how dumb most females are with words poorly put together, you can barely make out anything, and you begin to think to yourself "the nerve...the audacity...by what standard does this simpleton measure intelligence? His?" The truth is men are more comfortable with a woman less intelligent than them to make them feel important. |

Anyway, Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) is a splincter of Boko Haram previously led by Muhammad Yusuf's son. They are more deadlier than Boko Haram as BHTs have been severely weaken. |

Akposy: Exactly how I like my akara. How did you make it crunchy?
Cococandy....how do one make that ice cream I just combine the heavy whipping cream and the condensed milk, Add some vanilla drops, Separate them into two bowls, add chocolate powder to the chocolate version and whip with an electric mixer until it forms stiff peaks. Then I do the same with the other half and add Oreos cookies to that one. Then freeze overnight . Very simple. |

But why would she let him nurse her pregnancy, attach to the baby, tell the whole world he's a father, elope and then break it to him via a phone call, even though she knew all along he want the father? And did you read her response? She sounded as concerned about his suicide as the naija government is about our survival!
It is well sha...she could have left him a long time ago when he refused to get tested or as soon as she found out about her pregnancy to another! The new man won’t even want the child. She missed the opportunity of giving her child a dad. |
