Mrs cardiology I like your username . I also like your post. Food for the goose as they say. Takotsubo: @babythug
I think a lot of emphasis is placed on male cheating , lol.
Tooo many variables:
Length of marriage.
Religious affiliation and attitude towards religion.
Financially dependent or independent wife
Children involved and their ages
Wife's interest or lack of in sexual intercourse
Social security ,stigma or lack of stigma
Wife's redlines: for some, cheating is nothing compared to poverty.
Social status of couple
Lifestyle of wife
One off episode or length of affair plus result of the affair: baby on the way etc
Attitude of spouse pre and post cheating
Openness of both spouses
Results of STD testing and willingness not accept no sex or sex with condom
Ability to move on or not..could take years etc
Personally, my attitude towards cheating has changed over the years mainly because I have a very good relationship with my spouse,he is a good guy, our children are very happy, home life is stable.I think he's a great father who would generally avoid anything that could hurt me and he has a very good income too which in combination within mine means a decent lifestyle for all of us.
1. I may or may not leave ,I have the financial power to care of my kids alone, society I live in doesn't have issues with divorce so this is not a problem at all. 2.The impact would be devastating for the children, because we all have a very close relationship.
3. I could cheat as well,I cannot promise 100% fidelity because the longer you are married, the more bored you become especially over 10 years...
I love my spouse like kilode but I'm quite open minded about expecting someone to have sex with one person forever. Maybe I'm this lenient because I know I can fall into this particular sin out of plain boredom.
No I did not have sex with anyone's husband in the past,I don't have a shady sexual history either.
I just don't see why I should end all our years together just for sex especially when I could be guilty of such too( I still would draw lines on are,new child ,length of affair etc) . It depends on the context and also if I'm innocent of same at the time of the offence
My spouse so far has not cheated or he's abnormally smart about it( we've passed the 10 year mark).Either ways,if he does, that just opens my mind further to the options available to me.
Yes,my spouse knows I can leave or stay dependent on my interpretation of the situation.
Yes yes I know about the pain and betrayal ,I'm just not overly emotional about things in general.
There's just too many variables,no one really ever knows.
People should just act based on their convictions. |

And the fact that he is borrowing to sustain/feed them.
Not a one off project or sickness. For sure. A one time or few times financial boost is not an issue (at least to me). But the continuous dependence and more so not on his money is what’s worrying. |

There’s nothing wrong in marrying someone who’s struggling with the intention of being independent and genuinely working to be independent. I always say no one can provide for you like you can provide for yourself. Few man can provide for you 100% and it’s the same with women.
So why are you letting him make you feel like you’re doing something wrong for not wanting to carry his family burden? The main problem I’m seeing here is not that he borrows money from you. It’s that he’s borrowing it to support other people. That shows poor management on his part. |

I’m so glad you’re alright. Like super glad. We do indeed take health and life for granted. Welcome back doitforyou: Chile!! I think I got it from my job ( flying back from Ventimiglia, Italy). I got to Jersey and in about a week something didn’t feel right. I have never had the common flu before but I had fever and felt lethargic, right of the bat I knew something wasn’t right. Then, I had difficulty breathing, my inhaler didn’t help, I thought I was going to die.
I was transported to the ER. I was on a ventilator for two days. This was in first week of March, one of the first waves in Jersey. Sis, my outlook to life has changed, damn! It was hell lol. We take life for granted, I infected two other people but they weren’t hospitalized. |
Health › Re: How I Found Out I Was HIV Positive!!! by cococandy(f): 1:09am On Apr 16, 2020 |
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing OutharryHIV: I "accidentally" found out I had HIV in 2015... Worst year of my life.. I know you might be thinking that I'm a promiscuous person but I assure you, I'm very far from that... So this is how it all started?
I did my NYSC in my dad's company and finished in late 2014 and I was given a full year to go read a course I didn't even want. So I instead volunteered for Youth In Action Against HIV and poverty in Tanzania. My dad was furious but my mum understood.
It was 6months filled with lessons, tears, experience and a firsthand witness to the sufferings of others... We tended to the poorest of the poor in rural Tanzania.
I later came down to Borno and later North bank area of Benue state, I realized there were a lot of vulnerable people that are hungry and can't afford even cheap medical care thus they die of common malaria.
I didnt stay long in Borno before I started having this feeling of fatigue and blurry vision, I thought it was cuz of the stress that comes with what I do, so I decided to go home. Few days after getting home I started feeling this head splitting headache, I thought it was malaria/typhoid of which a lab test later confirmed.. Out of curiosity, I told the doctor to run a full check up.. Just to be on a safe side.. Which he did..
You should imagine my surprise when he told me I was HIV positive.. Nothing has ever prepared me for that moment.. It was funny how a malaria treatment could turn to an HIV nightmare.. I thought of just ending my life right then.
But i braced myself and took the drugs, I was surprised that it was free in Nigeria sef.
I rushed home and took my girlfriend to run the test and it turned out that she has it too... We've been taking the drugs for the past 5years now with an high Cd4 count and a low viral load.. The virus is not detectable in our blood stream anymore and we are happily married and our first twin boys are negative.
If you're out there and you've been in my shoes.. Its not the end of your life.. Life just happens and its not entirely your fault.
I don't smoke, drink or live a reckless life or sleep around, like I've been in only one relationship all my life, so its not about your lifestyle. I don't know if I got it from the idp camps or my girlfriend(she was the only person I was with at that time), we just didn't care, we moved on.
So lovelies, Take your ARV drugs, take fruits, eat well, within 3-6 months you can still have unprotected sex throughout your life with your partner without infecting them or your children.. You can live your life to the fullest and more.
P.s: HIV patients do not look skinny and dried up.. That's just an archaic stereotype... It is also not a death sentence. |

There’s no Mexican here to judge Besides it looks good GboyegaD: Lunch: Rice and Beans burritos with beef and sausage. Couldn't defrost sweet corn because I'm hungry. Had no Feta Cheese at home so improvised with Parmesan and Provolone Cheese. No pico so improvised with diced Onions, mini sweet Pepper, and Parsley (improvising for cilantro). No Salsa/Verde so had to use stew.
And a side of Banana Chips (bought from the store). |

My advice to both of you if y’all are for real would be to figure out what you want to do with your lives first. And see if you both fit into each other’s life goals. If not, don’t let any opportunities to find suitable partners pass you by. But not before you’ve done your best to make it work.
You’re both in a rut so to say. OP at 30 doesn’t know exactly what he wants to do and the girl is right to be worried. Baby girl while still young at 25 doesn’t mean you’re not mature enough to have stuff figured nor does it mean that you have time to wait until you’re older before you start figuring it out.
It’s not necessarily about making a good income (even though that’s important) but it’s also about stability and a clear cut direction in life. |

factormatt6: . Nope. I am fully committed to our relationship. I have had female friend who offer to help with money to boost my business in exchange for sex, I declined because of her. How do I know I will be able to give her a family she deserves and a good life is what is disturbing me. It was hard to know what your point was at first. But If the bold is what the problem is and then I’m sure you can do it.There’s no way to know the future for sure. Besides a good life and good family is a joint effort. So if she wants the same thing, I don’t see what the problem is. Sit down and outline your goals, the timeline at which you’d love for each goal to be reached and work to support each other. Start small. No one makes it big overnight. Small wedding, Try not to have kids right away or if you do, space them to avoid too much responsibilities that will weigh you guys down while you’re still trying to find your footing. If she’s committed too, your resources will grow. surely. |
