Is that your alternate account? Sounds like it.

Question. Why do some moronic men think their opinion on the looks of a woman is important at all? What has my beauty or the lack of it have to do with this topic in any way? Kindly enlighten me. Why does it matter if I’m ugly or beautiful?

joeruano:
An ungrateful girl spotted. People who have a sense of entitlement in almost everything are usually ungrateful and you strike me as one of that bunch. In my opinion you are more if a shithead than the man. This is someone who is looking for a solution to his family problem and doesn't seem to know where he went wrong.

Instead of POLITELY giving him advice if you are sure of its correctness, you are engaging in name calling. Right now I'm just imagining how ugly you look. You might not be ugly (who knows?) but the impression I have of you now is that of an ugly I'll-mannered girl who'll be a trouble to a good husband.

Just my thought

First of all what’s she owing you that she should be grateful for? I’m confused about that part.

And why did you tell her to leave “your” house? Is she a tenant in that house or does it belong to her as well?

You’re a sh*thead . I’ve no advice for you. The one I gave you in your former thread was a waste of my time. I hope she leaves you. It’s just a matter of time before you cheat on her if you aren’t already
Family › Re: Pains Of A House Wife by cococandy(f): 1:30pm On Sep 01, 2018
Yea? So I never told her to put the children in daycare and make him pay for it? Wasn’t that one of the reasons why you quoted me asking if the child isn’t hers too? Okay

Again. You’re preaching to the choir. Like I said before, I don’t subscribe to the idea of being a full time housewife. Only that I understand why people may choose it.

So this post now? Not necessary. As you’re telling me something I already know.

P.S in my neck of the woods, there are 100% more white women who are housewives than black women here or even among women I’ve ever seen in Nigeria. Treating wives who are postponing their careers to raise the kids for the family like crap seems to be predominantly a black male problem. Especially in Nigeria where they can get away with it. Like the woman’s sacrifice for the family is worth less than the chicken change he’s bringing home.
Hanseel1:
You never said that.

One thing most black women haven't realize is that money doesn't only give you power in the society, it also gives you voice in marriage.

If you're jobless your voice may be heard but that can't be guaranteed but if you aren't over-dependent on your man for everything your voice will be heard, it's guaranteed.

When you're dependent nobody complains but when it becomes too much it becomes a problem.

Even men whether rich or poor who at one time urged their wives to quit their careers and become housewives, after a few years they always complain inwardly.
Family › Re: Pains Of A House Wife by cococandy(f): 6:23am On Sep 01, 2018
So you’re telling me what I already said? Great point
Hanseel1:
Do you know what is called “daycare” or “nanny”?
If they can't afford those, either of their mothers ,fathers or any immediate relation can come and stay with them for the purpose of taking care of the kids till they're about 4 years old each.
Family › Re: Pains Of A House Wife by cococandy(f): 10:26pm On Aug 31, 2018
Sometimes being a house wife is the most profitable option for the family at that time. If the children are still small then it most likely is the best option for them financially depending on where they live and if he makes more money than her.

I don’t necessarily go by this principle, but it make sense to me when people choose it. However I always advice otherwise unless they truly don’t have other options.

She said they have been married for 4 years. If they had none of their kids before marriage, then the kids are probably 3 and 1 years old. Do you believe it would be easy to keep a job and still provide full time care for those children as needed?

If she keeps a job to the detriment of their children’s care, he will still be the one to call her a bad wife. I doubt he would be willing to change diapers when she’s at work. Please be realistic.

Yes the kids belong to both of them. she’s spending the majority of her time taking care of them and she should be adequately provided for since the money he makes should belong to both of them.

Hanseel1:
2) did you discuss with your husband the type of financial arrangement both of you will have? If he agreed for you to be a housewife, then he’s indeed very ungracious. However if that wasn’t the plan and you decided on your own to be a housewife, then you need to do better. Have fire and a burning desire in your heart to do better for yourself.

I'm sure she's an educated woman.

How a lady who acquired a certificate through intelligence will voluntarily choose to become a housewife is beyond me.

The husband might not necessarily want his wife to be an housewife but there are some women who are so lazy that they'll choose to become an housewife than to do business (Godforbid, I can't deal with such women)

Put your kids in daycare and go get a job. Let him use his money to pay for the daycare since he won’t provide for the person taking care of his kids. (I’m almost sure your maid is a child so let her go to school please).

Are you kidding me? “his kids”?
The kids were produced by both of them and if taking care of your own child means you should be paid then something is wrong. You can't be paid for taking care of your own child.

1) No. other men don’t act like this. Or maybe they do. I don’t know. However, Your husband is very stingy. His sister probably knows. that’s why she always gives you money. Bless her kind heart. Please always remember her in your prayers and give her due respect.

2) did you discuss with your husband the type of financial arrangement both of you will have? If he agreed for you to be a housewife, then he’s indeed very ungracious. Most people believe bringing money for food and paying rent is the end of provision. That’s why no one can truly provide for another person unless they are very rich and very very generous.

Provision goes beyond needs such as food and shelter. Wants are also important for your mental health. Can you ever buy something that you don’t need but truly want? Can you ever see something that you feel is overpriced but you feel like spoiling yourself so you buy it anyway?

That’s why you need to wake up and do something for yourself. Go learn a new skill if you have to.

Anything you do to make the family life easier even if it’s traditionally your primary responsibility, is still a form of help. That’s where I’m coming from

Hanseel1:
I get angry when you guys call it “help” ,which help?
How is he helping you because he's doing house chores and also cook?

Cooking is the responsibility of both partners.

Okay
otipoju:
I help with feeding the baby. Changing diapers, taking her to daycare.

I do dishes when she is not around, i mow the kawn every two weeks, take out trash , do my own laundry, drive us to church. So its not that i dont help out at all with chores. That will be inhumane.

But cooking food in the house is not and can not be my responsibility and i am not interested in helping with that.

The research is wrong BTW

but I know you want to believe it because it suits what you already have in mind.

If I’m less tired because I’m getting help from my husband, the more likely I am to want to have sex with him. But believe what you want even though you can’t see evidence of it working in your marriage

otipoju:
Madame. I have heard you. Marriage is very very different from" boyfriend and girlfriend". I have not complained to you or anyone but i will always make adapt new knowledge in a way that enhances my marriage.

The research says when a male begins to share too much traditional female domestic chores with the female, she begins to see him less as manly even though she appreciates the help.

I have adapted this info after seeing signs of this trend myself and stuck to masculine chores. If i am going to help out, definitely not when she is there to see me fo it.

....what is your ish with that?

What a convenient way to force beliefs that don’t make sense on people right?

Tell them that only the spiritual can understand it. Shame them for not being spiritual so that they will pretend to be spiritual and act like they understand stuff that doesn’t make sense.
And finally, create laws and moral codes that support the oppressive mindset of the oppressor. And boom, you have a society that shuns anyone who tends to think or act in anyway that doesn’t favor the oppressor.

Who wants to offend God right? Even though he’s clearly crafted and tailored to suit men’s selfish desires. He must love them more it seems.

That’s why he only spoke to them in the Bible. And that’s why he only let them write the scriptures. Obviously because if women were allowed to do it, they wouldn’t indoctrinate it with Gods divine desire to make men the superior gender. Right?

ebenholer:
My brother biblical concepts cannot be interpreted using human wisdom. It takes someone who has relationship with God through Holy Spirit to do it. So telling this person the truth may be imperceptible to her cos there is no spiritual mind in her to comprehend this. Even what I am telling u I doubt if u will comprehend.

Family › Re: Women Did Not Come From Men's Ribs - Nigerian Feminist Says by cococandy(f):
No one tried to counter her points with reasonable argument. Instead they all jumped on her looks. Simply because they had nothing sensible to say to prove her wrong. Bunch of poor minded folks.

And this is exactly why feminism is very very vital to civilization. When people think a woman’s value should be based on how men see her appearance. So because y’all don’t think she’s beautiful, whatever she has to say makes no sense?

Well I’m probably talking to the wall. Can’t expect simple minded plebs to try and reason a conversation out of this.

my dad put his very dear brother as next of kin on his docs... well he never got round to changing it....a little over a decade of marriage and 4 children later, he died suddenly.
My uncle also had his own children to fend for as he wasnt as financially ok as my dad was.....guess who's needs came first when my dad's entitlement was paid? Yup, my uncle and his children.... whilst we the immediate blood relatives of the deceased suffered - simply because you dont trust your wife, you let your children suffer
Anyhoo, mum raised us up singlehandledly, today we are graduates, self sufficient and caring for her....and like a nollywood movies, uncle lastlast is in the village, suffering from stroke, kids are roaming aimlessly, wives abandoned him
and i am sure dad is regretting the decision he made in the land of the dead.....i still love my dad as if he didnt make the choices he did, i would never have learnt the survival instincts and resilience i have learnt today

You should not get married to someone you can’t send on an errand. There’s no “man of the house” when it comes to doing what your wife wants. You have to do it.

unless it’s an unreasonable errand. Like some people make up stories about waking up at 2 am when they are pregnant and they send their husbands to go from Lagos to Abuja to buy them something they are craving. Those are stories obviously.

But a good husband has to be ready to get sent to buy stuff, pick up stuff, clean the house etc. all the miscellaneous stuff that makes the home go round.

And before y’all get on my case, I also get sent on errands by him and I do it wholeheartedly. With much joy and happiness. It takes two.
