Actually lynching is a norm in Nigeria. How many times a week does that make front page?. And is not considered a crime because the people have this sense that they are providing justice which is what makes it worse. The holiness with which they perpetrate such acts. At least shooting someone for no reason is considered a crime here. The day ordinary citizens pull a pickpocket or store thief into the open and kill them in full glare of the public, I'll burn my passport and head back home to Nigeria. And contrary to what you think, I've lived in Nigeria all my life until a few years ago. So my disgust for such acts doesn't come from moving abroad. Let's call a spade a spade. Trying to excuse the inexcusable or justify the unjustifiable is not patriotism my friend. Don't even get me started on child torturing based on religious delusions. Go to akwa ibom and see if that's a norm or not. Or forced/child marriages up north. I have no clue what your comparison between the two countries is based on. ATERI: You don`t want to see my point because you are in America. The idea that you guys can be engaging in this argument is telling me what propaganda is doing to you. The mundane task of going from A to B by your own car is now becoming a suicide mission and you are calling that an ideal environment.
Can you please tell me how many times Nigerians have killed criminals in the streets this year? Is lynching a norm in Nigeria? How many times have it happened in your own area this year, in case you are in touch with Nigeria? Which states in Nigeria and which politicians encourage jungle justice? Am I right in saying that over 90% of criminals in Nigeria are prosecuted through the court system?
Honestly, the more you argue this, the less my respect for you.
When you call yourself a developed nation, you have to live up to certain standards, the most important of which is the security of life and property, nothing is ever more important than that. Then there is the hype of America being God`s own country and other flamboyant rubbish like that. So you are now saying I should be mad at Nigeria, that is incapable of providing security for armed robbers, but ignore worse barbarism in a developed nation or start singing God bless America when a totally innocent black man is murdered for no reason, right?
What is going on in America would meet the Geneva definition of war crime even in a war situation. A situation where a motorist is stopped and the next thing is execution. Can you give me the name of any other developed nation in the world that executes her own citizens like this? Man in the street should not execute but those paid to protect can is your argument, right? When these police officers kill, do you have the statistics of how many of them are prosecuted?
Please give me a break, America is no Norway or the Netherlands! |

ATERI: Every unlawful killing is the same! Actually it's not. Both are bad alright but there's a huge difference between a racist policeman killing a black man or two mobs/gangs/cults going at members of the opposing clan to eliminate themselves and a society where normal everyday people will gather around to beat or burn someone to death because of an accusation (most times unproven) then go back to their normal lives like it's nothing. Without even acknowledging that they are committing a crime. Pls stop the pointless argument. It doesn't look smart on you. |

Mindfulness: Interesting. I like your attitude. I like it very much even though such people are one of the reasons why I avoid instagram and facebook. I am always like: So what? Why are you so ridiculous? What's so special about it? And who cares? And why is everyone doing it?
And then I feel arrogant. So I choose to ignore it. |

Not necessarily a function of how much wealth your parents had to give the best things in life. I follow djcuppy on instagram and of course she's a textbook defitnion of ajebo right? But she was showing off her very expensive wrist watch the other day, does that turn her into kpako? People will do what they want with their stuff. None of my business. logicab: I should be questioning your comprehension. Once again, jungle justice is NOT ONLY when a mob gathers to beat and burn a SUSPECTED thief to death. AND once again, a Nigerian will be a Nigerian whether in Nigeria or abroad. So yes, Nigerians abroad will still engage in jungle justice. Still trying to understand you |

shaybebaby: Thanks honey, it's part of the Riu hotel chain. This one is called the Club Hotel Riu Negril, there is the Riu Palace Negril just up the road which was more expensive but not much different, if anything I hated the decor.. Pink buildings.
They have in a lot of other Caribbean islands, not up to the level of Sandals or Karisma hotels if you are willing to splash out more.
But it was great for kids, they have a kids club, a decent sized pool for kids with slides in it and a playground and you'd struggle not to find something to eat at the buffet even though there are four a la Carter restaurants onsite.
I definitely have never seen lobsters in a buffet prior to this and I stayed in the Riu palace in Morocco. niiice |

I was agreeing with you. Mcowubaba: Make myself feel better you say.
Yeah, people suffer everywhere, there are even homeless people in the Great America.
But, all I'm saying is the popular notion that Majority of Nigerians in diaspora are suffering is a total fallacy of Hasty generalization.
ON AVERAGE Nigerians suffer more in Nigeria than DEVELOPED COUNTRIES QED!!!!! |

When someone believes a child is a witch and deserves to be starved to death (plus other chill-inducing stories like that), do I have a moral right to tell another right-thinking individual not to feel superior to them? These things are the natural consequences of a long history of animalistic behavior that our people have refused to let go of. I'll be watching from the sidelines. |

I don't support the notion that Nigerians in diaspora are better qualified for Governance, but I certainly know that the are more exposed to better facilities and services....
Whether being exposed is directly proportional to good governance can't be given a logical conclusion Now without a proper research.
Bro, the notion that most Nigerians in diaspora are suffering is a total fallacy to the best of my knowledge.. .
Anyways, depending on the COUNTRY the are in, but for countries like Australia, USA, Sweden, Germany, England, Canada - Majority of Nigerians here are doing very well. Shalom!!! @bold is what some people say to make themselves feel better. People are suffering everywhere. But it's Worse in third world countries like ours where basic amenities present as luxury. |

I never said the superiority complex is unwarranted. banmee: Always playing the devils advocate when you and i know that the average Nigerian does not think with all his/her faculties. All your years in. . . . .where have you ever seen a suspect summarily executed in the streets with the citizens chanting in support? That alone should tell you the kind of people who live in Nigeria are. How do you expect me not to think that i am better than someone who thinks like an animal? How do you expect me not to think that i am better that someone who thinks that giving policemen bribes on a daily basis is normal? The truth is majority of Nigerians in Nigeria generally don't think like regular people. They bury their heads in the sand to avoid the truth and deliberately lie to themselves hence the society they have created for themselves. They think it's bad now, they have no clue it's about to get worse for them. |

Are you blaming your daughter's illness on your single status. This thread seems like something cooked up by one of those members of the anti-single moms squad to try make it seem like anyone who's a single mom is living in misery. There's nothing embarrassing about this story that you couldn't have shared with you real moniker except you're the above mentioned.
If you're for real though, first thing you have to know is that if you don't have a handle on your life, getting married won't necessarily make it better. It might even complicate it more. You don't have a career? You think being married is a gateway for career openings? If anything it might limit you depending on who you marry? You don't have a spiritual life? Marriage can be a distraction from that. Just so you know. Now is when you have the perfect opportunity to pursue those things without marital duties weighing down on you at the same time.
Get married for genuine companionship not the things you're lamenting about on your post. Marriage won't solve those for you. |

Because it's not often that little baby girls are admitted into the emergency room bleeding and injured because they have been sexually molested by other older females. But go to front page and on a daily basis you will see little girls being molested by older men. It's not rocket science now. Hence you have to be very careful from now on. (But you already know that) Besides you guys won't let us hear word about how sex is so important to your existence and how you think about it all the time. We know not all men are rapists or sympathize with them but Nobody wants to play Russian roulette with their babies. Since one can't tell which dude is capable of such at first glance, you teach boundaries to begin with. discoprophet: Didn't you read right? I was in the room with the little girl, my brother and my sister. Why calling me a pedo? What act did I pull to be associated with such term? I want you to realize that if you don't have a son now, you would probably have one someday. And if he should be faced with this kind of situation, be quick to call him a pedo too because he tried to share it with you. And also if the world shares your mindset, they should call him a pedo too? I had an uncle I spend some weeks or months with when I visit on holidays. He was a bachelor then. He recently got married. I wouldn't be spending two days if I visit him again. Another uncle has female children and expects me to always visit him. So I get to watch how I look around the room, always knock before I enter, shouldn't enter the room when they are sleeping. I might forget to knock and just barge in when they are changing clothes, trouble. Embarassment! They may forget to knock and barge in when i'm changing mine, I should have locked the door! Guys would understand this well. Have you asked yourself why it would seem normal if a lady carry another's 2 or 3years child up and peck his cheek, but if a guy does so, it would seem awkward to people around? The reason defy me. I wrote this especially for guys, just few ladies would understand it. |

The MAIN REASON WE HAVE WHORRRRES AND WAEC-LESS BUFFOONS as leaders in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Too many people wanting to "get a room", no matter how DIABOLIC the reasons! To act out the fetish fantasies that would never make them "WET" or "COME" in any natural habitat!

Listen to yourself. Hypocrite. One is horrible and the other is not because it turns you on? alexistaiwo: Why na. As a guy, I am more sympathetic to the lesbians cause simply because their body is made for penetration regardless whether the penetration is done by a male or a fellow female. Besides they are fun to watch and their romance skills is outta this world but those pathetic guys forming gays should be castrated, boiled, exterminated, banished, gunned down in fact gays should have been the test subject for atomic bomb instead of hiroshirma |
