Onegai: We got a ton of cute onesies from Macy's and they were good quality. I found a Carter's store and picked up plain white onesies from there. Babies R Us was weird for me. The headbands are decent.I want to Balogun market and chartered a lot and now I want more... lol. What made it weird? They do have an entire section dedicated to carter's at babies R Us. (If that's the brand you swear by) Plus other good brands too. I love that I don't get distracted by other stuff when I'm there. I can never go to Macy's without buying something for myself even if I didn't plan to. I've heard so much about this balogun market. |

Onegai: Go earthy! I felt like Rachel Roy or one of the cooks on BBC Food using mine. And they're relatively cheap (i got mine from a restaurant supply store in Cali last year). And for one strange reason I have no pots with dreamers in-built. Ewuro4, the only Nigerian food that is steamed is moin-moin. I'll Google and see if there's any restaurant supply stores around here. Onegai: Macy's is great but don't waste money buying their headbands. Headbands can be pricey over there (i saw one on Etsy for $25 ) I bought some and my mum told me to wait till I get back to Lagos and she was right. 12 cute headbands for N1000 (less than $10). If you know anyone coming over, we can send you some. the ones from Lagos, are they good quality too? I could ask my mom for some when she's coming over. I like Macy's because of their product standards. But I've never bought any baby stuff there before. Didn't even know they have a baby section. babies 'r' us is usually the way to go when shopping for my baby. I've a baby registry there. |

Don't mind him. And his annoying posts EfemenaXY: So married men don't self-service? Really??
He should go park his "high libido" to one corner. Has he ever given birth? Does he understand what she's going through and that sex is probably the last thing on her mind? How come a married man with 2 kids is insensitive to the fact that his woman who's just given birth to his baby needs time to recover both physically and emotionally?
High libido my foot.
Why should I support an insensitive man?
I've given birth and I know the rigors childbirth puts the body through, especially if wear and tear's been involved (i.e stitching). No two women are the same. Some are sexually responsive shortly after, others aren't. It's her man's job to understand his wife, and if he truly loves and cares for her, he'll control himself.
Your are insensitive.
This is May. Your wife gave birth in January. i.e: 4 months ago and yet you exercise patience for her, but claim not to understand why this woman, barely 3 weeks after giving birth isn't happy to get into sex so soon. And I bet even then, you aren't as inflexible as this lady's husband who insists on going raw with no protection.
Mr Bolade005, what gives? |
Family › Re: Is 6 Weeks Too Much For A Husband To Wait For Wife To Recover After Childbirth? by cococandy(f): 6:07am On May 02, 2016 |
I can't imagine the height of insensitivity of some of you on this thread. Do you know that 3weeks after giving birth some women can even sit or walk properly. Can't even lift their arms much less have the energy to give sexual satisfaction to someone. Do some of you even think of anything else except your selfish wants? 3weeks for goodness sake! Some people even still feel sick and nauseous at that stage depending on how their pregnancy was. Every woman is not the same On second thoughts you must be commenting from a very ignorant place on this subject. let those who have had babies tell you how it is. Because your wife had a baby doesn't mean you know how all women who have had babies feel. And if you have not been pressuring her 3 weeks from the january that she had the baby to explore other means, then i'd say you're the one defending the indefensible. Bolade005: Why would a married man go self-service?
Didn't she know the man has high libido before marriage? It's her cross and she should deal. The OP is even sexually boring and I'm deeply sorry for her man, there are other ways she could explore and they'd both be happy. Instead of you to educate her on other ways, you're here defending the indefensible.
And before you think I'm insensitive know this, my wife gave birth in January and ever since we've not had sex, she's not completely healed and I don't pressure her because we do explore other means and we are both happy. OP should explore too biko, she should learn to go nasty for her man. |

Onegai: Purity22 (I know I'm going to get my head bitten off for this...) But let me just say it: thank you for beating that girl up. If you were my sister, I'd be so proud of you. Stop worrying if the girl had died, we have a population issue in Nigeria and besides, this is NIGERIA! You'd never get convicted (I believe in diplomacy and violence: there's a time to talk, there's a time to kill. Too much reading of the Old Testament as a child caused this ).
All I could think of is the baby lying unattended to, sitting in its filth, allowed to do whatever (what if the baby had crawled towards some electronics and put live wires into his mouth? What if he had crawled somewhere and something heavy lands on him), the useless pair (his matrimonial bed, his wife's wrapper). Ignoring his child because of cheap lust! Emphasise this part to your husband: he ignored the welfare and safety of his child to gbensh.
Act strange next time you are the guy, let the wife notice something is wrong. When the girl comes in, hiss and act like a Nollywood Mother-in-law. If the wife asks, say "oh nothing!". You'd have planted seeds in her mind and she will eventually figure it out. |

Abi that's what I'm thinking too. I can only tell a woman her husband is cheating if she's my blood sister. You can't trust how a friend (except you know her 100%) will react to such news. You become the bad guy for it. Especially with all those ones that will rather blame anything or anyone else except the actual person who's hurting them. byvan03: My dear I can't run the risk of being the fool by telling the wife, most times it backfires. Most women know their cheating husbands/bf more than any outsider, telling her is like rubbing it on her face.
Certainly he will protect his brother if he has been unfaithful too but I will rather eer on the side of caution. I have caught a friend's husband, I only started avoiding her because we can't be friend's when am hiding something you should know. She eventually caught him by herself. They made some noise, she threatened to go, a lot of begging and a brand new car followed and they lived happily ever after. Do you know how fooli*sh I would have looked blowing the whistle? Of course the man still cheats. |

I do want it scraped too. Maybe at first it was meant to be a beautiful practice but sexism and misogyny have come along and made it seem like it depicts trading off of a human being. Even some parents know this hence some people will return the actual bride price paid saying they are not selling their daughters. So why even bother paying to fulfill all righteousness in the first place. |
Family › Re: Am I Wrong Fighting My Husband's Younger Brother's Side Chick? by cococandy(f): 8:46am On May 01, 2016 |
You shouldn't have beat the girl. It's not your place or anyone's to. That's the only ish I have with your story.
As for whether to tell or not, follow your conscience and use your wisdom to imagine the possible outcome. Chose the line of action that will yield the best result.
If his wife has to find out for him to change and behave himself, then so be it. But If telling his wife will make her your enemy, then respect yourself and mind your business. Some women will turn on you rather than confront the cheating the husband. Just figure out the kind of woman she is before you ridicule yourself trying to fix another person's marital problem. |

What a fat lie. You think you're talking to children. No one sells their business in downtown LA to step into unknown waters. He mst have followed tiwa because he saw more promise in her talent than whatever it was he was doing in LA. If he was such a big shot in LA, he wouldn't have needed to sell his business and move back home. His big boyism would have been enough to propel tiwa into the American industry. We have Nigerian artists here who are doing well. Keep thinking you're talking to ignorant people. scully95: You want to tell me Tiwa did not know before she ran into it right ? Ok let assume she does not know.
To get to the bottom of it all, you need to look into what went on in LA. When tiwa was a no one and was fcking every man's dick way up.
I guess T balogun must have loved the fckings and so put his everything with the hope of making the best from her.
But see how things turned out... First of all sacking T balogun is more or less like removing the connecting rope between the two or the relationship which is based on mutual business in the first place.
If she did not remove his only life wire, I bet he wont go around begging for money. 45m here..
Accoding to Tiwa, I am even sure those that dropped that kind of money must be servicing her cos she's the loose girl and there is element of truth in everyting T Balogun said about her..
I know this family very well. Teebillz's father is a big boy to the call was formally running all the computer prices in Computer villiage before he diversified to real estate.
T Balogun is a spoilt child and the type that would never beg Tiwa. Things fell apart for him. Rewind to LA,Teebillz is a big boy to the call that has Office in LA. Do you know what it means to have an office down town LA and decided to sell everything because of one girl and the girl now decided to remove his only life wire ?
The issue she said about diverting money could be resolved. Why kill he cat for removing just the eyes from the big fish ? Someone mostly pushed her to do that..Those people will push her to her fall finally. |
