I've seen babies fresh out of the womb before being cleaned up. They don't look like that. I've had one too. Mine didn't look like that. I know they look whitish and cold because of the slime on them. This one looks different. The blue color of the feet is a dead giveaway of nothing else. kevoh: The baby looks that way because of months in a watery like state (amniotic fluid). The normal baby colour will return in a few days.
Meanwhile that blue spiral thing which is the umbilical cord is still taking blood and oxygen from its mother and passing to the baby. In a few minutes the blue colour in the cord fades away, once the baby's head is born and oxygen starts getting to the nose. Then it can be cut! |

The height of irresponsibility is knowing he had a fvcking drug problem....fvcking cocaine for crying out loud..... People with drug habits always end up being broke Yea I blame her for that too. People don't know how serious drug problems can tend to be. I didn't even know he had a drug problem. Else I wouldn't be surprised they broke up. It was only a matter of time. Thanks god he didn't hurt her in a drug induced rage. |

Good for you TV01: You are welcome.
And whilst you are also more than welcome to refute the claims in the post, it's not "for you". It's so that readers can see the sly deceit in what you wrote.
Seventh, in championing this ideology, would you be happy to have a son who identified as gay and indulged in a homosexual lifestyle? And be equally happy to do omugwo for a child who was half his male partners, and half some random woman' who was cut out of the childs life. Go on, I dare you, be bold to lay hold of the assertions you make.

Thank you. And without further ado, I believe you've gone through the thread.I don't know where you get the impression that I'm interested in long unnecessary posts. TV01: You have the baby - a girl. Congrats 0! Very well done. But without further ado .
First, why man]ke the false and misleading dichotomy? Would you differentiate between two "good couples"? And if you would, that makes you a phobe.
Secondly, a "gay couple" is by definition a bad parenting couple. The different attribute that opposite sex couples bring to raising a child cannot be matched by a same sex couple. Males and females bring unique but beautifully complimentary, styles, manner, attributes and input to child-rearing.
Thirdly, it has been estimated that up to 60% of a childs well-being is derived from the knowledge of and security in their family background and history. To willfully - by design - deny a child that is abuse. Heinous abuse.
Fourthly, to consider the so called rights - which are in in fact selfish feelings and desires - of two men over the rights, health and well-being of a child, to the extent that the child is essentially a commodity (isn't that essentially slavery?), cannot be the product of a sound ideology or right thinking.
Fifth, you have a daughter, and I can imagine how much you cherish and love her, desiring only the very best. Are you really going to say that you believe your husband raising her with another, non-related man, would be as good for her as raising her with you her birth mother? Or that other baby girls do not deserve what your daughter has?
Sixth, you repudiate the age-long traditions of your people, which is fine, if done with deep thought and much soul-searching, but to do so and replace it with this absurd liberal thinking?
Freecocoa came first, but I gave you more time . Now where is Mindfulness? I've acquired a new, bigger hose, just for her .

Indeed Gerrard59: ^^^^^
Rules my @ss. Who made them? If there're indeed rules, then you have no right whatsoever to whine about the "lack" of virgins. You can't be going around fvcking/disvirgin-ing girls/ladies and come later to complain about the absence of virgins. The ladies aren't sleeping with ghosts, they're sleeping with MEN. That's sheer hypocrisy. Only a Virgin man has the moral right to demand for a Virgin lady.
. I was only being lenient. I have been to foreign websites/blogs/forums/news site and although you may have sexist comments, it's the hypocrisy(Backed by religion) that annoys me on Nairaland. Like I once said, the height of hypocrisy in most Nigerian men can make the tallest man look like a dwarf. |
Food › Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by cococandy(f): 2:29am On Apr 29, 2016 |
Schwartz: One of the culture shocks I experienced here abroad is that oyinbo people here don't cook. Although i live alone, but i came on holidays at my man's house in the South so we share a fully furnished kitchen with them , but they just don't cook in it. There are 2 German ladies, a French lady and a German man. None has ever cooked any meal. The only equipment getting busy in the kitchen is the kettle for tea and coffee machine. They don't even use the microwave to warm anything. But me and my man (Nigerians) we stun them by making heavy meals all the time. From fries, jollof rice to grills to Naija soups, and swallows, we don't joke with our tummy. When they come to into kitchen they keep asking what are you making? Looks nice. The German man once asked me why do you cook all the time? Its shocking to him. I told him in my country no man will marry you if you cant cook. But we have given him our Naija jollof rice, salad, chicken and egusi soup. He liked it. The other German lady was stretching her neck into my egusi soup pot and asking questions. We gave her some soup and swallow, she liked it too. Back to your question, my big cup of tea goes with half a loaf of bread, fried eggs, bacon, sausages. That's to wake the stomach up. Heavy Swallow and soup comes in later in the afternoon. Life is short o. I can't drink half a cup of tea and be okay. My tummy would rumble |

@bold, don't you mean "in the world"? Gerrard59: Nairaland is the most misogynistic forum/blog in Nigeria and I say this as someone who "practically" lives online. According to the OP and his likes, a man has the right to sleep with as many girls as he likes but same is not right for the women? Do they girls sleep with themselves? Are they men fvcking ghosts? The guy who "dumped" the girl, honestly, does he deserves a virgin? And IF he does, why not demand same for the lady? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Seriously, the Nigerian mentality is a fvcked up and ridiculous mentality. Men who fvck up and down now demand virgins |
Family › Re: 6 Pertinent Questions Nairaland Women Need To Answer by cococandy(f): 12:39am On Apr 29, 2016 |
Had to share. EfemenaXY: I have never come across a woman who calls her little son "My King, Soldier, god, Lord, Royal Majesty" unless of course you write from your own personal experience(s)? Even loonies don't do it. Besides, shouldn't these supposedly mature men be able to discern right from wrong? Or did crucial developmental milestones pass these "men" by?
And where is the boy's father whilst all of this is allegedly happening? Right under his nose as he folds his hands doing nothing but playing the part of a sperm donor while the "terrible" mother single handedly raises the boy?
Now this is just perverted.
Why, no. How on earth does a sister feel fulfilled that her elder brother sleeps around with anything in skirts? What do you mean by fulfillment? You mean sexual fulfillment? Ewww...gross. I know guys swap stories (real and unreal) between themselves about their 'conquests' but to share those stories with their sisters? So do the sisters then share their own sexual escapades with their brothers?
You're weird.
I'm sure I've shared this countless times on here but for your sake, I'll repeat: All my boys cook! I taught them from Year 4 (primary 4). And I'm talking proper Nigerian dishes. From Jollof rice to pepper soup, from descaling fresh fish bought from the market to roasting chicken drumsticks. From boiling / frying yams to making proper stew and chopping up Ugwu leaves / okro. The only thing left for me to teach them, is how to cook Egusi, Ogbolo, and Banga soups. Aside those, they whip up a mean dish.
I take them shopping with me every weekend so they know exactly what to buy from the market place, how much they cost, how to tell which product is fresh and which isn't, etc. (I'm not saying they enjoy it, but they understand the necessity i.e. paving the way to self-sufficiency and total independence later on in life).
Household chores are equally shared and they all know how to operate the dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven/grill, hoover, blender, etc. When I had my daughter, as soon as I'd recovered from my C-Section, the first thing I taught them was how to change their sister's soiled nappy. Last time we travelled back home for the xmas hols, they even demonstrated before their female cousins how to change their baby sister's nappy with wipes, etc.
And for what it's worth, hubby, my dad, and father-in-law all cooked, including my brothers too. So I honestly don't get where you're coming from.
Says who?
If parents really feel that way, then why bother sending their daughters to school where they get the same opportunities to study all available courses? Or do these girls attend sub-standard schools with limited subjects on offer?
From conception. |
