Uhm babe. Waste of time.

He's not the one to be objective.

Obviously he believes in a situation where there is threat to life, one can divorce. Duuhhhhh. This is basically what I've been saying. But in order for him to feel good about himself and make others seem like they are the bad folks, he had to twist it and claim I'm advocating divorce for flimsy reasons.
That's not the kind of person you want to debate with.

For me it's not worth it.
I don't know what some posters always feel like they have to argue or say something about your opinion only for them to try change your own goal post for you when they are caught being insincere.

shaybebaby:
The requirement is up to the individuals to decide. What bros Lezzlie is missing is that personalities are different so what works for some might be a deal breaker for another.
Yes we all want to be happy but our definition of happiness varies greatly. Imagine someone who is a masochist in a physically abusive relationship, would that not be heaven for such a person to be married to a sadist? Yet for peeps with aversion to violence, we know the very thought is an anathema to them.
We are not all cut from the same cloth o jare.
Family › Re: Is He Not Meeting Up To Expectations? Divorce Him! by cococandy(f): 2:07pm On Apr 24, 2016
What am I arguing about? Well in case you missed it here it is " it is better to be divorced than risk your life enduring physical abuse"

@colored you see why it is futile to water time talking to some nairalanders? Why saying what I didn't say? It's obvious for some obtuse reason some of you enjoy putting words in other people's mouths and for whatever mischievous reasons I don't know. You've basically been arguing with me based on what you assume I'm thinking and not what I'm actually typing.

Please can you tell me where I've advocated anyone divorcong their partner for flimsy reasons?
Have I ever preached divorce in situations where it isn't abuse? Even after telling you divorce is an extreme solution for extreme situations you aren't ashamed to bold facedly accuse me otherwise?

Gosh. This is so annoying and portrays you as insincere.

Unfortunately I can't get back the time I've wasted on you. Pls refrain from quoting me in future if you're going to rile me up with lies and xtupid assumptions.

And there I almost forgot the reason why I stopped debating with some nairalanders. Thanks for reminding me. undecided
Lezzlie:

@the emboldened, so what have you been arguing about then? cheesy grin
In as much as you think of me as new to this part, I've been here very long to know you're pro-divorce.

And I disagree with you that a beating husband has earned the penalty of a divorce anymore than a slovenly, abusive wive has.

your "extreme cases" are in most instances, going by your precedents, minor domestic scuffles.

You are wont to often advocate divorce as a quicksilver approach to most marital malee.

Divorce is only for the instance of actual intention to take life or a direct threat to it.

Every other brawl should be settled with the option of divorce far off the table.

Lezzlie:
I believe in the indissolubility of marriage in most situations.
Oh. I just saw this before replying your last post. So there are some situations where you believe marriage can be dissolved?
why going on like you're saying something different?

I'd hate to have wasted all this time debating with someone who's saying the same thing with me.

So which is it, do you or don't you believe that sometimes some situations require the marriage dissolved. Or was that a typo up there.
Family › Re: Is He Not Meeting Up To Expectations? Divorce Him! by cococandy(f): 1:15pm On Apr 24, 2016
Fair point.

But like I said, divorce is an extreme solution required in extreme circumstances.
So in my opinion there are situations requiring separation while there are some requiring outright divorce.

There's no amount of idealism that changes the fact that sometimes one is better off divorced from a horrible partner. Some people have died because they preferred to bargain with the devil.
Human beings can be wicked. If anyone unwittingly finds themselves married to such a person, the only solution is a divorce.

And there is true moving on. Albeit never easy but always better than being limbo of prolonged separation.

Now that is all I've to say on the matter. The topic is overflogged. Seems you're new to these parts
Lezzlie:
Separation offers a window of opportunity for change and hope. A divorce is brutal finality and there's no true " moving on" in a divorce situation.

The ghost of a failed marriage never ceases to haunt and hover over the next.

A separation offers a chance of sober appraisal of the union while still offering a form of physical and emotional detachments for pure reflection.

Marriage should be entered with care and even solved with greater care.

Preach separation, not divorce.
Family › Re: Is He Not Meeting Up To Expectations? Divorce Him! by cococandy(f): 9:47am On Apr 24, 2016
Lezzlie:
You paint an extreem scenario, and I'll advise separation than an outright divorce in such circumstances.
Because divorce is an extreme solution. So news flash: (for those who have difficulties with understanding) nobody should be recommending it because one person lost their job or bla bla bla inconsequential reasons.

It is the solution in such 'extreme' cases like 'I painted' above.

And what is the difference between separation and divorce except that both parties are still holding each other from moving on even though they clearly can't and don't want to live together?

Exactly. Imagine 'policewomen are not easy to tame'. Who goes into marriage looking for who to tame except a control freak?

bukatyne:
In addition to the complex, this is a husband planning to be terrible one forehand and looking for a 'doormat' who will accept his shit hook, line and sinker.

Who plans not to marry a policewoman because he can't hit her?

A nurse has no interest in sex due to constant contact with ailment yet she is willing to sleep with doctors & patients in her care?

BTW, I thought nurses are steretotyped to be randy?

They are still in the pot. I don't think I over watered them though.
But My husband said he helped me water them yesterday. Maybe he watered them when the sun was still hot cheesy

I'll look for a shade outside and put it under. See if it improves.
Onegai:
I don't know much about daffodils, the little I know is they're bulbs (like tulips). Could it be that you're overwatering them? Because I've certainly killed a few.plants drenching them in water and when their leaves turned brown (their roots were rotting due to excess water), I poured more water in erroneously. Did you put filler (rocks or something) under the soil before planting? I didnt and my spider plant is drinking a bit too much water and browning so I'm watering less (once or twice a week). Maybe that's it? And you could go to Home Depot (no, not them, the other one...) and get a sachet of plant food? I dunno.

Gardeners in the Western Hemisphere, please answer.
Agriculture › Re: The Hibiscus Flower Society: Calling All Gardeners, Flower Lovers Etc by cococandy(f): 10:14pm On Apr 23, 2016
I got some daffodils that I left outside in the back porch to collect some sun. I read somewhere that they are outdoor plants but they are dying.
I watered them in the evenings (twice now)
What did I do wrong?
See the flowers are turning brown.

Lezzlie:
Divorce should be the last option in a failing marriage.

Opting for it as a measure to curb a beating or cheating husband is like treating a disease whose cure is worse than the ailment
Well that's your opinion sir
But in mine, being divorced is better than having a husband who belongs to everyone or has a side job as a panel beater who uses the wife to practice.

Op type the woman's name and address here. If possible upload a picture of her and her husband if you can discreetly snap them pictures without them knowing. Maybe when they are entering or leaving the compound. You can pretend to be doing something on your phone and take her picture without her knowledge. As far as I'm concerned she has waived her right to privacy by committing this inhumane act.

Bring her picture and address here and we will encourage the MODs to put it on front page. Let's name and shame this evil woman. WTH?!!! angry

A child's right org. or something can get the information from here or even the police.

I got some glass jars from Iponri market (they had a lot of options there). But you can use even old mayonnaise jars, wine (port) glasses, glass tumblers, so you've got a lot of options in your budget.

You can landscape your terrarium by painting some of your kids toys and putting it inside.

is it even an offense? Except the fellow is deliberately refusing to try.

Just that some ladies have their priorities messed up. They'd rather stick with a disrespectful wife-beating and cheating azz husband who 'provides' than an honestly loving one who's not so buoyant.

What?
This can't be true. Who In their right minds would think something like this is fair except he is evil and an epitome of wickedness?
The senator/s who proposed this bill (if it is even true deserve to be shot)
Wickedness in human forms.

And some zombies will applaud their chief Zombist for doing a nice job!
Why not find the underlying cause of this troublehuh?

Why don't you tell your people to respect boundaries and cultural differences? Must they always have their way in pples land?

THE GRAZING BILL HIGHLIGHT
I decided to read a copy of the National Grazing Reserve Council Bill and I was surprised at what I saw.

The Bill creates a council to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the president.

The council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation.

Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those Fulani cattlemen.
If you feel that the council was not right to take your land, you can go to court but before you go to court, you must first of all notify the federal attorney general of your intention to sue the council. Apart from notifying, you must get the consent and authority of the Federal Attorney General before you can sue.

So that means that if the Attorney General refuses to give his consent to the suit, you have lost your land forever to the herdsmen.

And this law, when passed, shall apply to the whole country so it means that your land in the village or anywhere is not safe.

The National Grazing Reserve Council would have the power to take away your land from you anytime they want and pay you whatever they want as compensation (even when you don't want to sell, and remember that for you to get compensation, you must have documents showing or proving ownership).

So I think that we all in the South West, South South and South East must rise up and reject this Bill. We must do all things to force our national Assembly members from passing that bill into law.

That bill is a deliberate attempt to take our lands and hand the land over to the Fulani cattlemen since it is only the fulanis that rear cattle in Nigeria.
That law, when passed, shall fulfil the directive of Uthman Dan Fodio and other northern leaders to take over other parts of Nigeria.

I implore you to use all available means to implore your senator and Rep not to pass that law.

That law will destroy Nigeria.
All over the world, ranches are established and used to rear cattle. The farmers buy land and put there cattle there. There is no country where the land of the citizens are compulsorily acquired and given to others.

This is evil, and designed to favour the Fulanis where the president comes from.
We must resist the passage of that bill into law to save Nigeria, and to protect our future generations.

Here is my thought or advice.

She over-reacted and made things worse by smashing his property. That's a runz or street girl's attitude. She has terrible friends and anyone who keeps this type of friends is bad herself. The guy probably likes this kind of girls. Who knows?

If I were the guy's friend, I would scold him to dumb her as*s immediately. This type of woman shouldn't be kept and I hope he never thought of marrying her, because it will be a disaster.

Even if the guy cheated on her, she has no right whatsoever to threaten his life or destroy his property. She would be in jail if this happened in a civilized country.

When you're in a relationship with anyone, you DON'T own the person. The person has the right to to dumb your as*s any time he or she wishes. The same applies to marraige, a husband or wife has right to end the marraige at any time he or she wishes.

That's why you must trust and treat your partner with utmost respect and diginity if you want him or her to stick around long.

If anyone tells you something about your husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend, investigate first before jumping to a conclusion!
