elampiro: So how does anything that transpired today meant Rooney is a problem to our attack? I want to know.Elamps! You need to calm down, did he say anything about Rooney being the problem in our attack! You are the one reading meaning into what he said just because he mentioned Rooneys name you did not digest what he said you have run in to defend rooney by interpreting what he said as that our attack was potent because Rooney was busy helping Giggs in the midfield which you also agreed with. Maybe because we scored three goals from open play today, you feel it has exposed your Rooney as a problem in the attack, cos adebayo said nothing about that. |
elampiro: What is this one saying?Na wa oo this is why we say you are obsessed with Rooney! What did he say now that you are asking 'what is this one saying' he said Rooney fell back and helped Giggs and you also admitted that Rooney falling to the midfield steadied the team. What is the nonsense he vomited? Biko? |
coogar: steve clarke sacked & moyes still has a job? what kind of world do we live in? this injustice is cringe-worthy.I don't support Moyes being sacked at this stage. He needs support/advise and that's why I felt relieving the backroom staff was his greatest undoing. He felt he could go it alone cos its Man U and that even if he messes up the quality in the team should be able to bail him out, but the players have also failed him. I said this in some earlier post, Moyes needs support to steady the ship before powering back up to where we are used to being! As per the Title, Forget it especially with the likes of City hitting form, Arsenal will still have a say, Mourinho factor and the likes of Everton playing really well, we have our work cut out. Moyes na Goat sha! |
elampiro: Is it by bailing teams out? Ronaldo is not wining titles. He could not bail Madrid out in UCL crucial stages.Your attempt at comparing Rooney's supposed performances @ 250k with Ronaldo's @ 325k is a travesty! Ronaldo's consistency makes Rooney look like the pile of shyte that he really is. Prey tell, what is Ronaldo's goal tally compared with number of games played? |
Players like Ronaldo and Messi can be forgiven when they miss some glaring chances because it is not in their character to do that and in any case these guys perform tremendously consistently scoring impossible, clinical, important, marvellous and spectaculars goals regularly thereby bailing their teams and placing them at the summit or at least in touch with any team at the top in their leagues. For now, Ronaldo and Messi have earned the respect and bias accorded them. Period. |
torres2: Announcement : everybody is to vacate thread now so as to allow us sweep the stageBabe u are funny!! LMAO. |
SamAfrik: Some guys are not entirely getting Chinedu's position. His words have done more damage to our president more than the ex-president. The guy does not have confidence in Jonathan at all.The content of Chinedu's write up has indicted both OBJ and jonathan. He has not spared any of them. He has clearly highlighted what is wrong with us a s people. He has clearly extracted the content of OBJ's letter as the gosple truth but is amazed at the fact that such a letter has emanated from OBJ. A thief calling a thief, thief without any shame or regard. Completely forgetting that he was in that position before and infact had a better chance of making this nation great as he was the first elected president inthis democratic era. |
elampiro: Agreed, but I will prefer young. Don't want too many young players at same time. Why? What has the grandfather ones offered. At this rate we shud try everything until we are sure the Gods have forsaken us. |
montelik: see Fellaini texting instead of paying attention. we need to investigate this warranty matter and get a refund. As him no play home match make him arrange away match with babe na. |
SIR cum a lot:Smart bet indeed. With Moyes at the helm and the mediocrity of our plays how do you want to get 15points from those teams when we are now looked at as potential 3points. Gone are the days when it seemed clubs just show up to fulfil the obligations know United will take the 3points. Xdo you have a clear understanding of what's happening? |
I swear! I don tire! |
SMH!! |
chrisley024: Hope another draw isn't smelling.Draw ke!! |
Na wa ooo chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool all the big boys are already leading. |
Can Giggs and Fellaini do the job in this formation. We are watching, am not confident witheir combo oo. One old man and one slow guy. Hope everton don't rip us apart from the middle especially if we don't retain possession. |
Chai, wetin dey happen here? This thread no easy. Na Moyes dey cause all this ooo. So, which United are we gonna see today, cos I think we have more than 5 diff United team. |
coogar: jones is suspended - so it's cleverley + anderson & that is 3 points. knowing moyes though - he will play giggs or fellaini.Don't be surprised when he plays Giggs AND Fellaini. |
Oghos1: .Truly speaking, with all the nonsense our midfielders and wingers have been playing, I believe Anderson and Nani on the field at the same time will do us a lot of good. Ofcourse taking into consideration the opposition. Am just tired of all this Cleverly, Fallaini, Valencia run of games, they have not made good use of the opportunities they have been given. Is Ashley Young still playing for us? Jones as a mfder instead of a CB, smalling playing RB is all rubbish. I believe Anderson is key to our revival especially in our MF.. And yes, Moyes is a Goat! |
larride: Cleverly - 1, he stinks all over the place, he should be loaned out to Derby County. elampiro: You sabi watch football and analyse with pure objectivity. You supported his objectivity and analysis here, so what about this objective analysis. Won't you support it? larride: How in god's name will a CB allow a ball bounce in his front thereby putting others under pressure, Jones is at fault for the first goal. |
nitrogen: And we are yet to play Everton, Newcastle, Hull city and others. These are teams we suppose maul. But the way Gollum dey select him team all these clubs will believe they are Barca once they see MAN U in front of them. Our fear factor absofuckinlutely throw outta the window, infacy every club now see us as oshow free 3points sef, just that oga Moyes will manage draw the game and start feeling like he has achieved something. |
RuuDie: Did you read that below!?I was only reminding Coogar that Wenger said the same thing. But let's put the statements into context taking the reputation of both clubs in recent years. Clubs like cardiff have been taking a dump on Arsenal and it would be easier for Wenger to expect that hoping his recent club form will bail him out, but Man U only loses the likes of Cardiff ones in a while, but this year alone we have lost to WB, s'ton, cardiff that 3teams we shud be beating, lost to Liverpool and Man city already 5games which is what we sometimes lose a whole season to win the trophy. I still insist, regardless of whatever form Cardiff is in, a club like Man shud be seeing it as easy pickings. I missed the Man u vs Tot match. |
SailorXY: Cardiff was no push overs despite the scoreline, Arsenal has a good league form @ the moment but their results shouldn't be our yard-stick. There is more than enough time to steady our ship, besides we should be more objective to changes in & around Old Trafford over the summerRegardless of whatever form cardiff was, thinking of a draw before we face them is disrespectful to the fans. Moyes should be beating or atleast have the mindset that a team like cardiff regardless of whatever form or whereve we meet should be going down! I mean no disrespect to cardiff, but business does United have with playing a draw with cardiff. Its because Moyes has a small mind and obviously does not know where he is that he would be talking about a draw with cardiff as an achievement. There can be upsets once in a while, but Moyes has made upset like these regular with midtable teams, and when a seeming upset like the WB, S'ton, and cardiff becomes a regular result with United, then we are just as good as a midtable club. Simple. |
coogar: the same cardiff moyes said he would have taken a draw against before the game just got plummeted by the gunners. it just shows the kinda ambition between the 2 managers.Although Wenger also said he would not mind a draw in a pre match interview. But I agree with you, Moyes needs deliverance. I wonder what he would want against Tottenham, if he felt like a draw against Cardiff was something to be happy about. Chai, Cardiff fa! |
I swear that evilkagawa na cra.zeman! |
Ameachi! Ameachi! Ameachi! Strong man! |
Truly speaking, I think we have too many players that can play in more than one position and I am not sure right now with the way things have panned out if that is an advantage to us or its what is confusing or making Moyes make some silly decisions. Valencia can play on the right both defence and attack, those are the only 2positions he can play for this team as we know now. Nani plays on Left and right, sometimes in the middle when he drift inside. Kagawa, inthe hole and on the left. Jones a defender naturally being converted to a midfielder. Cleverly, Giggs, Ando and Fellaini can play anywhere in d middle. Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Rio and even Jones all fighting for CD. Evra, Buttner and Fabio left defence. Its good to have competitions in diff positions, but when you play a kagawa on the left who naturally wants to play in hole, it automatically ostracizes AY, Janujaz who are more naturally inclined to play that position. Or play smalling @ right back when Raphael is fit for the position, I know raphael height might be a reason if we face tall opposition. The point am making is that in other teams maybe one or (wo players are moved around like this, but in UNITED, seems the whole team can be shuffled game after game. |
Wonderment!! |
montelik: Draw at home and we guarantee top spot and hopefully get a weak round of 16 opponent. Will there be any weak team in the 2nd round? I think Anderson is very fit and I was impressed with his cameo. I mean apart from the chance he missed he looked comfortable and mobile in that middle. I hope Moyes gives him more chances. |
Bayern has proved themselves in europe, I won't argue with that. But why won't they, when any good player that emerges in their useless league they snap him up and they are not much. Why won't they dominate the german league when all the other teams bar dortmund who are managing to put up some sort of resistance are useless. Don't come here and start talking about isolated games where man city were beaten by a burnthisleaguedown club. We are talking generally. Nice Goal by Nani! |
Double post! |
Buttner in, make Moyes give Ando playing time naa @ coogar We all know the Burnthisleaguedown is a substandard league where Bayern buys all the best players and then oppress everyone there. |
Levekusen is not putting up much of a resistance. As United we are still not at the level we are supposed to be. But am happy with Kagawas game sha. |
