i think everyone is putting in a decent shift.

but vpersie needs to step up a bit. Rooney has missed some passes and ball control but i think he has done very well.

I agree that with that price tag he must play, hell I also think 80m was too much for him.

But today they had Kroos and Modric at the pivot, that's like playing 2CMidfielders and ignoring the DM role.

An Alonso/khedeira, or alonso/Kroos, Khedeira/Kroos or even Modric and khedira behind Hames in the hole would have made more sense with Ronaldo and Bale on either side with Benzema upfront.

raumdeuter: Madrid problem is the Perez fantasy. They need a strong holding midfielder but they aren't the money on Hames which wasn't needed.

Madrid doesn't need a prolific striker they just need someone who can draw defenders into the middle and make room for their wingers.

At the time the hames fantasy was at its peak everyone thought it was a good buy because there were Alonso and Khedeira on the team. Fastforward, all of a sudden Alonso left and khedeira seems not to be favoured again, Di Maria that gave them some width also left, b4 we knew what was happening the middle became soft.

That's a completely new midfield, can you emphatically say we have sorted out our midfield problems with these players?

If we have 3 of them in MF, who plays upfront, Falcao, Mata and Rooney, am assuming its a 433 formation.

Will Lvg still stick to his 352 formation with these players?

With the players we have am beginning to think 442 should be our default formation, players seem suited for that..

ChristineC: I'm not totally convinced Manchester United have done that well in the recently concluded transfer market. Van Persie, Mata and Rooney have been really disappointing so far, they are just class players by virtue of name only. The quality has been hiked considerably, no doubt, but I just feel the bar could have been raised further with addition of a natural midfield player or two. I'm not feeling so confident yet, till I see improvements on the pitch. Van Gaal should drag them till January, sign better replacements and make our club truly world class again.

Yes! Having these guys have somewhat boosted our chance, but we need to see it.

There is no pressure at all. It does not look like we r looking to score and win the game. Cleverly just feels when he passes successfully he has met his KPI. What is this lackadaisical attitude these players have imbibed.

We should buy cattermole and tell all the other players except the 3 defenders never to cross the half way line, they should perpertually stay in the opponents half and find a goal or their wages would deducted.

I know nobody will even try to reason with me - but sacking Moyes was a GRAVE MISTAKE!

Some of us were also in the camp of putting some of the blame on the players ooo. It was not everyone bar you that gave all those reasons. We have been questioning the commitments of these players for quite some time, but when Fergie wims the league with the same players that we complain about it then looks like we are talking nonsense or we feel the players were not as bad as we felt they were.

Then comes Moyes! Was it his clout or his tactics and methods or his utterances in press conferences, his Gollum looks or the players themseves. All we knew was that everything went south after winning the comm shield. We were still expecting a top 4finish, CL quarterfinals, FA semi and winning carling cup but ended with Nada!

Moyes had to go abeg!

The Jury is out on LvG! We are watching.
