Business › Re: CBN Begins To Clear FOREX Backlog by CodeTemplar: 3:06pm On Nov 02, 2023
SoNature:
I hope they aren't borrowing it or emptying Nigeria's foreign reserves to clear the backlog. Nigeria is struggling with FX, but the president plans to splash millions of dollars buying a yacht.
the foreign reserve has its job which I believe is to make forex available.

As long they don't touch more than 10-12%.
Politics › Re: Why Do Parents In United States Send Their Children Packing At Age 20? by CodeTemplar: 2:50pm On Nov 02, 2023
They don't have interest in holding the children back in life unlike another country in another continent where they use the spirit of one ward to train the others and start storey building projects at the age of 70.

Politics › Re: Ondo Cocoa Farmers Protest Hoodlums Attacks, Seek Police Protection by CodeTemplar: 11:07am On Nov 02, 2023
What's the basis for such court injunction evicting farmers from their farms. Cocoa is not ground that grows every year. It needs some years to start producing, so forcing them out is equal to creation of joblessness.

Malroux:
Ebola Tinubu will be flexing in his multi billion naira yacht while the Ronu chanters will be soaking garri and going to sleep on empty stomach.
Pained losers derailing threads.

Sad but true observation by the pastor. Governance is now zero and what we see daily is politics. Political answers to issues and not practical steps.
Business › Re: Crude Shortage Delays Dangote Refinery, Five Others’ Take-off by CodeTemplar:
The report stated that though the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited trades crude oil on behalf of Nigeria, in an interview with S&P Global Commodity Insights at the time, Edwin revealed that the NNPCL had committed its crude to other entities.

The Dangote refinery boss did not disclose the other entities receiving the oil company’s crude, but the NNPCL had earlier disclosed in August that it had entered into a $3bn crude oil-for-loan deal with African Export-Import Bank.

The deal allowed the company to pledge future oil production to the bank as repayments for the loan.
Summary: we, in time past, used future crude oil to borrow and have to keep paying those we owe so Dangote should look elsewhere. That means extra cost of importing crude into Dangote refinery after building pipelines. Dangote must be almost regretting working Nigerian govt.

Romance › Re: When Your Wife Constantly Insults You by CodeTemplar: 7:36pm On Nov 01, 2023
Rapture2021:
Before I say one thing my wife has abused the hell out of me,she was such a calm and reserved person before we married, but today at the slightest of misunderstanding she begins the insult, even getting close to my face telling me to beat her,I have never laid a finger on her,but she is tempting me to do that. How can a woman calls a man fool, idiot, animal? I have reported her family severally and yet she is not changing.

I opened a boutique business for her last year, now she said she wants to sell baby things, and I have done it half way,I had to just prank her that the other money I was expecting hasn't come, immediately she began the insult again to my face,as it is the prank is getting real because I will not give her the money anymore
touch her and see fire...lol

I once enquired about cost of sending 15kg package out of Nigeria and got a quote of 115K from one ogogoro looking Nipost man. That was 2018-19

If we talk now, the cassava mafia and their corn-legends may attack as paid to.

Nonsense talk. The north has perfected the art of replicating whatever attracts funds from the centre.
They have used lack of development narrative for over 60 years. Education too. Health too. Poverty too. And now insecurity.

The average gun goes for N1m and no poor man can afford that kind of amount.
Politics › Re: Naira To Reach ‘fair Value’ Of 750/$ By Year-end 2023 – Oyedele by CodeTemplar: 7:21pm On Oct 30, 2023
Witchcraft economists. They want it to be stronger to ease debt repayment burden but can't take practical steps to see that happen.
Can govt meet half of forex demand it is ever collapses? No is the simple answer yet they are trying to dictate prices of what they do not own. Very soon they will tell Dangote and BUA how much to sell and how much not to sell what. Cornfused Car-server Government.
Politics › Re: Foreigners Troop To Nigeria As Citizens Japa In Search Of Greener Pastures by CodeTemplar: 7:12pm On Oct 30, 2023

Politics › Re: Forex Crisis: 7 Austerity Measures Govt Should Consider To Strengthen The Naira by CodeTemplar: 7:08pm On Oct 30, 2023
In summary, govt has no business being in business of running businesses but should dictate what business owners do with their own money and resources, how they save it, how they spend it, when they spend it, when they save it, where they save it, where they spend it.
To cap it off, they can use the tax paid by businesses to do things businesses richer than Nigeria dare not do. Convoys, lodging in hotels, escorts, partying.

Instead let's just hire Bonfere Jo or Samson Siasia as a president to manage Nigeria like a football team.

About is one step forward and one step in reverse of policies.
