Politics › Re: How Poverty Reduction Can Improve Nation's Security - Ukodhiko by CodeTemplar: 2:24pm On Jul 16, 2023
Insecurity in Nigeria is not a result of poverty in anyway. Nigeria is a jungle where the fiercest eat at the expense of the producers.

How many working class people can afford AK47 or bullets?
The people saying poverty is the root cause of insecurity are just rent seekers negotiating for a bigger share of a dwindling and keenly contested national cake.

Some men ask their wives to become full-time housewives after marriage. However, if you are not interested in being a full-time housewife, it is important to emphasize this to your partner before marriage. This is one of the factors that create problems in a marriage.

Family › Re: . by CodeTemplar:
Money matters. It is well.

It is harder for men to provide these days. One major reason for that is lack of understanding of what constitute basic needs and helper role of the helping gender.
When in the bible, the man was referred to as the provider, there were roles for women too. Like harvesting crops, milling them, preserving & storing them, cooking them. Today, advancement in tech has collapsed all of those into the final product and the cost is expected to be borne by the man alone under the guise of providing for his household. [Let's leave household definition aside for now because that's another point of error for most homes and marriages.] You just go to market and buy a bag of processed rice or beans or corn. The woman doesn't do those other task acknowledged in the bible any longer. That shifts responsibility silently from the woman to the man.

What about gathering of firewood to cook? The man buys gas or kerosene stove or electric cooker and pays the bills too. You see why many women become fat and lazy, only nagging and chasing the latest luxuries that add no value?

If we must talk about marriage, let's talk from the inventor's(God and Adam) perspective in order not to amplify confusion.

Politics › Re: How Much Should Be Enough For Palliative Funds? by CodeTemplar: 3:52pm On Jul 15, 2023
Palliative is suppose to be like a painkiller that reduces pain but some very specific Nigerians want it to turn the point of pain into a tickling sensation.

I dont mean to sound offensive, the guy who wrote this and those who liked it most likely dont have a car. How can N8k fuel a car for a month? With the current fuel price, the highest it can do is 2-3 days for fuel economy cars, for some it just a day or even less. Even with "I better pass my neighbour" generator, I dont think it will last a week.
The eight thousand isn't meant to cover transport cost or feeding wholly. It is just a token to ease a bigger burden of multiple effects of subsidie removal.
One thing I know is, poor people whose trade/business will be rivived with just one month palliative exists talk less of 6 months X N8k. Akara sellers, pure water sellers, subsistence farmers, saloon owners and many more.

Policies to cushion subsidy removal for everyone and not 8k that will be embezzled or channeled to a few families
its still the same thing. The best would have been to retain subsidy and fight the corruption. Now we face the same corruption every we go. Before the removal of petrol subsidy everybody enjoyed it according to their usage of the fuel. According to distance travelled, hours of business, and needs but the said subsidy was bad while corruption can be retained.

The question should go to SE where is activities are limited to for now.

He is not the only terrorist leader but got so much attention. We have multiple judiciary system in Nigeria but no one is raising dust for that. It is one Nnamdi the son of KANU the 1000th from Abia alone you want to focus on.
