abobote:
Nigeria now depends on Dangote for everything
according to the article, it is Dangote who now depends on the govt for so much. I hope that's not true and the refinery kicks off operation soon.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: FG Told To Postpone 2023 Population, Housing Census by CodeTemplar: 2:19pm On Apr 24, 2023
This is commendable. No accurate population census can take place in insecure places. It will only lead to manipulation.
Insecurity should be tackled before a proper population census can be claimed to have been conducted.

With heavy taxes, is this how you want to take Nigeria from consumption to production?

People will be discouraged from producing anything. Some people that are already producing might even give up.
witchcraft economics. Producers are being purnished and not being motivated to produce more.

Knowledge acquisition was suppose to position one for impact or higher level of skill and not necessarily office jobs or fat salary.
Nowadays, it is even used to launder Ogboni money by sending victims to school and claiming the voodoo money has been well spent. Knowledge acquisition has been bastardized to irreparable extent in this part of the globe.

This sort of food is complex and delicate. It is suppose to be a full-time business where people just buy it instead of trying to redo it at home.

Politics › Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal: How To Become Rich From It by CodeTemplar:
refugee:
Subsidy removal will certainly have a multiplier effect on every area of the economy but majorly transport.

1. Sort electric cars in sales and transport business
2. Go into farming and employ group or communal method of transportation into urban areas
3. Solar power to the rescue.
Solar, one panel of 200w is about 80k. Who will buy that when you need about 10 to start?
Farming is cow food now. Cows are more important than taxpayers.
Electric cars are luxury right now to be honest.

The removal ought to have been planned well and area directly affected by petrol prices like power, transport, and small business should have been given serious attention long before now. Typical of us, nothing has been prepared but they are planning to borrow and share (with stealing in between)
Politics › Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal: How To Become Rich From It by CodeTemplar: 9:27am On Apr 24, 2023
FromTopToBottom:
...
Lastly, I am not against the removal of subsidy...but it is simple wickedness and heartlessness to remove subsidy without putting the right things in place.

The naira redesign was a good policy, but failed woefully because of lack of proper planning. The government is increasing the salaries of civil servants, does that mean that those in the private sector will continue to buy fuel at 210 ?

The private sector is the largest employer of labour...don't joke with them ... Subsidy will be removed, but after two or three weeks, it will be reversed. Save this comment
Two gigantic paragraphs after saying "lastly". Naija state of mind, too many things for the mind. Wahala be like serial TV show for Nigeria.

Build a charcoal based Carnot engine and start transportation business with it or start refining crude in small scale in your back yard.

As for me, I will simply build petrol vapour condenser and deploy near filling stations and mechanic workshops.

3) America welcomes every race thus overcoming division barrier that has slowed humanity down for ages and is a fairer society to all.

Mass Transit investments to aid movement and keep cost reasonably competitive.
Power generation to reduce dependence on petrol.
Renewables for isolated communities instead of trying to conquer the generation and transmission monster for like the 100th time in our history.
Allow NNPC to still market petrol at competitive rate to keep independent marketers on their toes.

Nigerians know not what is about to hit them.
