you are hyprocrite here, as if the loans you are talking about is easy in Nigeria to get. abeg shift here jare.
They are hard to obtain for now but special provision should be made for that. No bank will even give you loan for school fees.

Our dear country isn't developed(yet)
The state of the nation is shambolic
Need I say more?
If we must develope then we must encourage people to pay for services. The current set up is loose and people are bribing themselves in only to end up not using the certificate or skill.

I get your point buh
You're generalizing bruh, its not so in all cases
Some students sef are the ones sponsoring their own schooling
I know not all are careless but the majority are like that. Developed nations provide loans for the serious minded ones.

you are ignorant of what you are saying here, I'm saying that it is bad cos' the less privilege ones that gained admission to the school will find it difficult to pay the school fees.
Oga the less privileged card you are playing here amount to blackmail of govt. Let all less privileged ones take loans and repay it when the graduate. Or they should work and save for it. Govt can't increase funding infinitely.

The economy isn't helping matters bro, stop being insensitive
As long as the economy helps them own big phones and drink beer it should be good enough for making 70k. People take loans in developed countries.

The increment came at the wrong time

The labour congress are still battling with the govt on minimum wage issue, all of a sudden unilorin increased their school charges by 100percent.

Naija which way
Minimum wages across the world don't determine university education cost. Govt dont create wealth but circulate what is gathered and there must be balance.

Is this one increase?
Thank you. Nigerians don't realize the universities are dealing with over 5 times the student population of 25 years ago with almost same resources. They think education is cheap because govt subsidizes it.

What is bad about it?
Education › Re: UNILORIN Increases Tuition Fee By More Than 100%’ by CodeTemplar: 5:47pm On Nov 03, 2018
If govt can release over 250k as subsidy per student why can't the students cough out 60-70k on their own part to get education?
Lots of graduates are just going to school to get certificate and don't pay emphasis on the skill it affords them to acquire.
If you value the education you would even do manual labour to save N200k as buffer to help see you through school and enjoy millions in subsidy.
Education › Re: Unilorin Increases School Fee By 50% by CodeTemplar: 5:41pm On Nov 03, 2018
Increase is part of the way forward.
Let us be fair, any serious mind looking to get admitted into UniLorin and enjoy govt subsidy of of 250k yearly should be ready to cough out 60-70k yearly as fees.

The nation is in chaos and everybody is negotiating their own share of the perceived national cake.
The main problem here is that even the one they are getting which is huge in a sense, they can't properly account for it so who will give a wasteful entity more resources?

Stupid religion
It is more a case of stupid humans.
The woman asked a question they should have answered but as expected of people who have zero mental capacity to convince without compulsion they want her dead in order to instill fear into others.
What manner of religion kills a potential convert for seeking clarification before accepting that religion?

What justice? A woman asks you what good has your prophet brought to this world and you can't tell her to convince her to convert Islam. Isn't that enough to cover your face in shame or renounce your secret cult ways?
Christianity Etc › Re: 3rd Day Of Riots In Pakistan Over Release Of Christian Charged With Blasphemy by CodeTemplar: 7:47pm On Nov 02, 2018
Instead of answering her question about the good their prophet has brought to this world they proceed to manifest what their prophet didn't tell them. What a people!

I equally asked a thought provoking question here about killing of potential Islam converts as infidel because they haven't accept Islam yet and they are dodging it.

Waiting endlessly while people suffer and die? Common some of these challenges have been there for decades and Buhari has been campaigning for decades.

Programming › Re: Why Shouldn't You Learn Python? by CodeTemplar: 6:28pm On Nov 02, 2018
Drjimoh:
Well I think the only thing most programmers have against python is it's readability(put it in simple terms, python uses English words with few symbols and no semicolon on every statement to make life easy)

Every other thing is a mere assumption bro cheesy
Yes python looks like a scripting language so you'd expect it to be slow, but YOUTUBE is serving over 40 million videos per hour (thanks to python). With well optimized codes and employing implementation of C/C++ in your python codes(which I don't think most programmers are patient enough to find out), speed and efficiency won't be a problem.

About Desktop App development python is still a goto language, and you're talking about Androud or IOS apps, then check out Kivy which can build cross platform GUI apps.

The Notion of Everything is as real as they say. Python can do everything, it's just the community of python developers that decide what to adopt from it.

You should also know that a major part of Instagram uses python. Even google APp engine. shocked

...and the reason why most people don't like an "easy" programming language is a bit personal if you ask me, python doesn't make you feel like a hard guy enough cheesy
YouTube speed is largely due to optimized db and fast servers.

There are federal universities offering their services at cheaper rate. It is advisable that students apply to such schools. Most state school lacks inadequate finance to run. It is either they shut down this school or raise the fees to sustain it. Since the governors have refuse to listen to students, the university management had no choice than to increase their fees. The prof's assertion is actually correct. He was blunt about the true state of things. University education is expensive generally, however, the university council should have made provision for scholarship or reduced tuition fee for those whose CGPA are high. The state government should invest in those who with good grade. But if after increment nothing seems to change then it is a wasted effort.
just yesterday I read about 3 UK universities about to go bankrupt. University education isn't JAMB lesson oh.
