If the government had judiciously used our resources during oil boom, we wouldn't be were we are. It is out of greed and selfishness that had many schools to admit beyond their capacity.
Let them reverse the over population trend then. The oil boom came and all 36 states squandered their own share so what are we talking about exactly?

world biggest hospital? Error 404

world largest university? please next

world largest research centre? lolz

world largest orphanage? lwkmd

world largest church? yes, God be praised

this country has a fundamental problem
He is a man of God called primarily to cater for God's people and don't tell me the people are suppose to squat like almajiris under one almond tree.
Same God who called him to ministry also called others to industry and can call you to provide those things you are crying about here. Go and ask God what he created you for maybe you could provide one of those things you mentioned.

Enenche can't do all the orphanage or charity in the world so has to do his bit and focus on his primary assignment. Same applies for university, hospitals and research centers.

I know some angry and confused soul will ask why isn't he building schools, industry and hospitals forgetting he is a man of God called to lead the people of God and he needs space for them.

If only govt can be this focused on their assignment and not the wastage we see everyday like buying of Ramadan rams and sponsoring of pilgrimage trips.

The real problem is with those alleged poor Nigerians.
How can you expect govt to do everything for everyone forever. It is this pressure on govt that cant make us diversify from oil.

A lot of Nigerians have been burned sticking their neck out for fellow Nigerians.
Imagine recommending your fellow Nigerian for a job and when he enters, he starts doing "sharp guy things" in the job to perpetuate the stereotypes held about Nigerians.

I only recommend people for work when I know they have the competence and Discipline to handle it....not just because we come from the same country. Assuming the Nigerian had an acceptable level of competence that was even slightly lower than the competition, I will def pick the Nigerian because he meets the requirement to do the job. A lot of us want to help, but you have to give us something to work with.

I can hang out with anyone, but I cannot work with just anyone. 2 very different things.

Advice on ways to improve is always free though....if the fellow is actually interested in improving.
You are talking bros...
Nigerians are devilish.
I once worked in a place and the people I met there colluded against me from the day I entered. They wouldn't give me passwords to sensitive server or even allow me touch the things I can do well for the fear of me looking competent. Above all the are into office clique and occult practices.
Nigerians can hardly be trusted.

Those on top are split into two.
The ones that won't associate with those behind because they know what Nigerians are capable of and the ones who just plain wicked and insensitive. These latter is more likely spiritually inclined.

Christianity Etc › A Question For Our Muslim Folks Around by CodeTemplar(op):
A question for our Muslim brethren.

If all Muslims weren't born Muslims it means some were converted. Now how can a Muslim treat a potential convert as an infidel and even kill them in the name of jihad?

If the potential killer Muslims claims he has knowledge of things to come about the non-muslim wouldn't that amount to witchcraft and then demand the killer Muslim be killed for sorcery or witchcraft?

Society these days paint a vivid picture in the mind of young people that they need to go to school to get rich and school is the only way to success. Well, that is not true. Decades ago, going to the university was the bridge for getting the bigger and better things of life, that is true for a certain few who manage to get rich while the others scramble for the crumbs of life.
I stopped reading after the bold. People erroneously think school and knowledge is directly for wealth but it isn't.
School and education is for knowledge/skill and this knowledge or skill must be properly engaged to solve problems or create things people are willing to exchange their money for. That's why an idle or under-engaged graduate may never rise above gainfully employed illiterate.
This is why advanced nations prioritize fields like science above arts and demand a specific quota of their best brains are made to practice science. Even Neymar will need education on how to manage his wealth after retiring.
Christianity Etc › Did Jesus Lack Material Things While On Earth? by CodeTemplar(op): 12:54pm On Nov 01, 2018
His boat had a special sleeping cabinet where he laid on a pillow. During passover the upper room was reserved for Him and His disciples. He needed a treasurer to carry his money and Judas even ended up stealing from Jesus' money.
He had a expensive coat that could not be torn.

Even Isaiah 7:14-15 says:

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear son, and shall call his name Immanuel. 7:15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

In 2 Corinthians we also see this :

For yea know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Yes, both parties have no actionable plans. Just some fancy ideas.

This is not a time to attack the past per se but a time to take stance on issues and show us some plans or roadmap for key sectors of the nation and these issues.

Both APC and PDP are just going there for personal gains of they can't show concrete plans for the country.

Education › Re: I Became Poor To Establish University - Afe Babalola by CodeTemplar: 2:27am On Nov 01, 2018
Nothing really new or special about that. Go and check well, when it comes to university education it is never a cheap venture and just a matter of who is paying for it.

In public schools the govt pay heavily and the standard is still low so if a private one wants to run well it must demand huge fee or subsidize.

Ogodomigodos is all I see.
Your plan is still dependent on oil and any fluctuation in Intl oil prices can easily truncate all these election propaganda plans.

Why not diversify and make the nation economically sound before building mansion schools? They won't because their plan is to exploit one region to develop another forgetting that those you are trying to develope are irredeemably backwards.
physically backwards, spiritually backwards, emotionally, economically and psychologically backwards.

Which of these items was APC able to decisively accomplish in the past three years?
We have not gotten to appraisal stage yet. I want to see what the solution providers have in mind for us first. The self acclaimed solution providers can't give us anything so far.

The thread is a neutral one but appears to be favoring APC because they have something on their website already.

You are blaming but I expected to see the plans and stance of your favorite party or candidate.

Does it mean both APC and PDP have no plans for the majority of issues affecting this country?
In fact APC is having a more defined plan thus far.
